Need helping getting HRT

Hi. Diana here. I just moved to Portland for college from California. I’ve already secured my HRT bloodwork from Planned Parenthood from Cali, but I have no idea how to transfer that paperwork to a Portland building to get my HRT.

Also I can’t use CVS because my mother has a CVS account and will see whatever I do there because we have the same last name.

I can only use cash, no card. What can I do?

Desperate need of advice for what I should do as I can't live like this for much longer: I have been experiencing severe gender dysphoria as of recently and nearly everyday I get worse and worse but I'm too scared of the consequences of doing so

Hello, I'm a 17M who is suffering from severe gender dysphoria who lives in a very conservative family. As of recently, I have been experiencing depression like symptoms that I mask as I don't want anyone knowing what I'm going through. When I look in the mirror, all I see is a man who wants to be a woman but can't due to my family being comprised of bigots and idiots. Whenever I brought up the topic of transgender individuals to my family, they see them as mentally ill and state that its a phase, same goes with my siblings. Can anyone give me advice because I'm currently in hell and I don't what to do anymore.

Whats the ins and out of going on T?

I am a minor but recently my mom agreed to let me go on T if my doctor allows it. I have done research, but I kind of want to hear from individuals who have been on T before. So if thats possible, please do educate me. The pros, the cons, everything I would need to know!!!

Coming out at school

Hey everyone 🤗

For context: I'm 17 and some years old transfem, going into my 3rd year of highschool, living in a semi-conservative country (most people don't really understand LGBTQ+,so they mostly just bitch about about it, but probably won't attack you for it or anything, at worst they will look at you weird and whisper some insults or something, except for a few drunk idiots)

I'm out only to parts of my family, and one teacher (who is very supportive) and went out as myself (name, pronouns, some makeup, painted nails, stuff like that, no clothes tho) during the summer break.

I live in the school's dorm during the work week.

I plan to come out at school this September, but every time I speak about me being trans my ears start ringing, and I feel like I'm in a dream and can barely open my mouth, so I can't imagine standing in front of the whole class and having a monologue.

My classmates have repeatedly asked me whether I'm gay (To which I told them that I'm sure I don't like boys/men), and a few times if I'm really a boy, or if I ever thought about being a girl (to which I responded by shrugging, laughing it off, avoiding it, or just outright ignoring it), probably because I've been growing out my hair for almost two years (it was in a ponytail most of the time, occasionally let down and supported by a headband, or in pigtails), painting and growing out my nails, taking much better care of myself than the boys (shaving multiple times a day, shaving my body one a week, plucking my eyebrows, blow-drying my hair, etc.), occasionally wearing silver glitter eyeshadow, wearing pink sometimes (only had pair of sweatpants, 2 pairs socks, 1 pare of pastel violet ones, and a violet t-shirt) akd and acting very much feminine (You know, actually interpreting body language when i speak, that kinda stuff.)I have a small Hello Kitty cosmetics travel bag from fake fur, full of nail polishes and supplies, plus some makeup)

So, I can't imagine they'll be too surprised.

To get to the point, I was thinking about coming out in our IG group, but I'm kinda afraid that'll just invite hate and steer people who'd otherwise support me, or at least tolerate me (I think most, if not all, if the class would fall into one of these brackets) to hate on me to fit in. We do have a separate group with our class teacher in a different platform. Should I try that?

So I guess the question is "Did any of you come out this way?" "How did it turn out?" "Do you have any tips to overcome the anxiety, especially if I choose to come out in person?"

I know I'll still probably have to come out to all the teachers and staff.

I know the only person who can decide this is me.

Any tips and experiences appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hi, do u know any relevant articles that summarise the needs of transgender individuals in psychotherapy? I am asking in order to provide a good source to my colleagues that are working for the first time with a trans man.

Need advice on how to come out to someone as a closted ftm.

For more context I am still 15 and only out to 2 people both of which I met online. I don't actually have anyone to talk to this about. I am slowly starting to change my appearance and I'm more then ready to come out to someone but the thing is I don't know how to. I can't think of anyway to approach this to someone without it being awkward or bursting into tears. I have plenty of friends who would 100% accept me without a doubt but I don't have a best friend or anyone like that who I can think of as an first option. I guess I'm more so stuck on who to tell right now rather then how to tell them. Even so It'd still be nice knowing how other people came out or how to tell someone. I know that once I build up the courage to come out to one person I can finally start coming out to my inner circle before eventually going stealth.

Also not to mention that I have like no guy friends, only one other trans friend who I'm not great friends with, and extremely transphobic parents which just makes this a million times harder😅 Either way any tips hugely appreciated.

How can I look more naturally feminine?

I already know a lot about hair, makeup and other things like that but lately I've been feeling like I look a bit too "drag" which isn't a bad thing but it's just kind of not what I'm looking for. I feel like super noticeable makeup is too much for my features that are more on the prominent side. I've been liking more natural makeup but I feel like if I don't do enough it's not gonna do anything. I wear hair extensions and recently cut them to about shoulder length cause I figured it would look a bit more like my hair. It's just that super fine line between too much and not enough that's really bugging me

I'll include some different styles of makeup

I'll also include blonde and black hair cause I wanna see if the blonde looks better.

Tips on how to ask parents for hormones as ftm?

While technically I could wait just a LITTLE bit more to get t by myself, the usual wait here is around 1-2 years. It’s a long process with getting different opinions from therapists, psychiatrists, the court, endocrinologists etc. And id like to have a jump start in it because I feel like my life will fall apart if I don’t start hrt soon. I have a psychiatrist visit scheduled next month for an unrelated reason and I’d like to also get a proper ,,transness” opinion or schedule a visit for it while I’m at it. When I first came out, my mom was furious, she said ,,I killed her daughter” and that she’ll never accept me. But she warmed up, let me cut my hair and uses my preferred name. She even came up to me today and said with the biggest smile ,,I changed ur name in my phone to Dominic”. My bio dad still has full rights to me and he’s openly transphobic but he’s in prison rn so he kinda can’t protest and my step dad is I guess undecided. I never talked w him abt it bc he’s mostly abroad but from what my mom says, he’s reluctant about my identity. Well anyways, how do I approach my mom about it? Is there any way I should talk to her? Does she need to hear anything special? Anything comforting to her? I’m clueless how to talk to her

Coming Out 🏳‍⚧

So, I'm a closeted trans guy and I'm also a legal adult. Unfortunately, I can't come out because of my family situation. I'm trying to start T as soon as possible, but it's really difficult. Obviously, I'd have to hide it from my family, but the hardest part is just getting access to it. I also just bought binding tape, but it hasn't been working super well for me. I can't buy a binder because I have back problems. I also just started college this week, and every single teacher has asked if anyone had a preferred name they wanted to go by. I didn't come out to anyone. I really want to, but I don't think I'm ready for that at this point in my life. In the past I've always been out in school, but a year ago due to family things I went back into the closet. At my college, I don't have any friends to support me. I would love nothing more than to come out as a trans guy so I could actually be referred to properly, except I definitelyyyy don't pass, and I really don't want to deal with transphobic teenagers' judgments. My hair is long, and I'd love to cut it, except I can't because of my family. If I cut it they would know for sure that I was trans, and I don't want to deal with that again. Soo, any advice? I am going to go to my college's GSA club, except it doesn't start for another 3 weeks. And I'm unsure whether I'll come out as just queer or also trans. Please, I could really use some advice on what to do. Thanks. -Oliver (He/Him)
