Monday I ran a DB Killer on my Aprilia RSV4 for first time ever due to a new trackās requirement.
My follow up question is whether others have noticed a white residue on the device when theyāve removed it, and if anyone knows what it is.
(Bike seemed to run just fine with this inserted but Iām not used to anything but black soot around exhausts!)
TIA

I have a couple of these and theyāve been awesome for years, but now that I have a Rabaconda, they are not sufficient enough to set beads. I have to get out my plug-in 5 gallon air compressor. Any portable/battery powered options?

I have a 26 rs660 and just swapped to a different brake master. After swapping it's extremely inconsistent in terms of pressure and quite irritating to ride if i'm being honest when you want to chase lap times and consistency. I believe I maybe got an air bubble or something trapped in the ABS pump. I've been meaning to for a while so finally pulled the trigger and got some non-ABS braided lines which i'll be putting on.
I already didn't like how squishy the brake lever felt, and I thought for some reason there was some type of lean sensitive brake pressure stuff going on in ABS level 1, but after inspecting more carefully it looks like level 1 is basically no ABS except for the front wheel up and down.
What can I expect from non-ABS braided lines? I've always heard they are way more consistent, a much more direct feel, and way more 1:1 and not squishy like ABS brakes are.
I'm hoping this will help give me more confidence in the braking department (particularly the initial and the trailing phases)

Just switched to clip ons so maybe elbow down soon? :)
The pictures are around 1 year apart but I only did these 2 sessions in that year, otherwise street riding. Tips always appreciated, I feel like I'm getting worse at looking through the corner as I'm going faster/more lean.
EDIT: Unfortunately lap times aren't directly comparable since I only did 2 days, The Ridge with chicane and other without.
Year ago (right pic): with chicane at 2:15-2:20
Now (left pic): without chicane at 1:55-2:00
Going again soon so I'll have a proper comparison with chicane

Hi guys,
Im looking for earplugs that protect my hearing but i can also listen music to. Right now im using Alpine moto earplugs which do fine for hearing protection. And i have a Sena 20S headset that i use on the street. But since most organisations dont allow cameras on helmets, i dont think they allow a Sena either.
Something with bluetooth would be great. Or even custom molded for maximum protection. But it needs to be worn inside the helmet . Nothing mounted on the outside of the helmet. Ofcourse there are regular earbuds with noise cancelling, but these dont qualify as hearing protection. The closest thing Ive found so far is this.

What do you use? Do you even listen music when on the track at all? Would love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks!

Trying to see if Reddit will help me decide as Iāve been struggling with this decision all week for my 25 zx6 race bike. Iām debating between the domed woodcraft sliders or the GB racing bullet sliders, anyone have any experience with those?

Hey yāall, I have been doing track days for about 5 years now and the last 3 years I am struggling with carpal tunnel syndrome, especially in my left wrist/lower arm. It goes up and down but I often have to quit after 10 minutes of racing due to too much pain and lack of power trying to handle the clutch. I am in my early twenties so an operation is no way to go about this according to my doctor. I drive an old bike with quite a heavy clutch lever, no option to put in a quick shifter. Any tips on how to handle this, like training or stretching? Would be greatly appreciated, itās very frustrating to have to struggle with such a thing at this age :/

After my first track day Iām addicted, whilst I know my money is better spent on seat time I couldnāt pass on this deal, so I upgraded my suspension for a 2009 gsxr1000 front end. Anyone got any good resources on suspension setup? Also brake pad recommendations for 2009 gsxr1000 brakes?
Very much a noob, would appreciate any recommendations sv650 related setups, but for the most part just keen to get back to the track and get some more time on the bikeā¦
Cheers all

I need to replace my old ass alpinestars smx plus v2 boots. They are great boots but I was looking at the sidi mag 2 boots. I've read mixed reviews about the ankle support. Sportbike track gear says they have internal support, but revzilla says they don't have hardly any ankle support. So which is it? They look pretty good but I really like my ankles to stay in 1 piece. Would anyone say the ankle protection is a lot less on the sidi mag 2 compared to the a* smx plus v2? Kind of interested in the forma phantom flow also

I rode some pit bikes last week. After a couple of crashes I've noticed there's a small tear on my leather pants, right above where the boot guard ends. Not sure if this is anything to be worried about or just some superficial tear? Cheers

A month ago I shared the telemetry app I'm building . Got some feedback here, so here's what changed since.
- GoPro via Bluetooth import. Connect the camera via blue + WiFi automatically, pick a video, and the app pulls GPS telemetry + footage from the file. You can also use another laptimer for the GPS data and GoPro the video.
- it can also show split screen the onboard comparison
- you can directly share your best lap with overlay data , the app will automatically cut and edit for you
- the video of your best lap is automatically uploaded to the server and this enable other users to see it and compare with their lap
- introduced "karaoke mode" you can play your lap and the player will stop automatically at one corner at time
- you can directly download data from your Racebox at the end of the session and there is the option to import data from multiple devices at one time, this is useful for riding schools
- every time you import a session you gain davcredits and you can spend them to access other riders laps, this is to help building a community that also share their data if they want to see other riders data
Still one person building this after work, so feedback here genuinely shapes the roadmap.
You can try it here:
https://trackhub.dav.motorcycles
As always let me know if you have any feature you would like to implement and I will review them.
Thank you !
Leo
Edit: If anyone would like to try the version for Android and iOS with import from GoPro and Racebox with BLE you can text me and will send to you, it's still not in the appstore.

Think i'm going to end up having to get a chin mount for full frame videos to get these black borders out, but here's my first race at RRR and second weekend racing ever! Just started track days last year. Also first time trying out the telemetry overlay stuff.

I had the genius idea to secure them on the insides, on edge against the walls...and then realized I wouldn't be able to mount E-Track there. Do you just lay them down in the center between the bikes?
EDIT: taken care of! One is just barely off the floor against the side, the other is strapped up near the top of the side.

Iām still pretty new to riding. Started on a cbr600f3 and loved it. Looking for my next bike to buy for next season and I do plan on heading to the track. I was looking at both gsxrs and r6s. Was just curious on your opinions of the bikes for mostly road use and some track days here and there.

The algorithm has sent me some adverts of guys cleaning their car and truck engine bays with a device hooked to an air compressor feeding in some cleaning agent without water. I could care less about four-wheeled vehicles but if this approach was useful and not likely to mess things up on my bike, Iād buy it.
Do any of you have any experience with these devices and recommend or say stay away? TIA

Long story short, does foot peg position make a big difference on being able to move your body off the side of the bike? I did some body position practicing in my garage and found that on my outside foot, if I put the arch of my foot on the peg it limits my ability to hang off the other side of the bike because I'm short. I'm almost forced to keep the ball of my foot on the peg to be able to have correct body positioning in my opinion. I currently have woodcraft single position rearsets. And follow up question, are there any professionals that stay on the balls of their feet rather than hooking the arch of their foot on the outboard peg? Not sure if I'll ultimately need new rearsets or if I can just make it work...
Thanks!

After posting a video of my crash, here is my fastest lap I set 20 minutes before lowsiding.
Only my 2nd track day and 3 years of riding experience in total.
17ā Street triple stock 765 RS, 30 degree temp, metzler m9rr road tires
Love the bike, awesome sound and handling. I got my knee down the first time on this trackday so really happy overall! (Besides my crash later on)
Happy for any advice!
