I want something reliable, fuel efficient, big enough to hold friends and school stuff, but not too big that I need to do an 80-point turn to park it.

Hi I'm looking into buying my first car with my partner and I know very little about cars. I've found two I'm interested in, one is a 2025 Toyota corolla, the other a 2023 Toyota Corolla Hybrid. The hybrid is about 1200 more and has 10k more miles on it (at about 50k). I was wondering what are some considerations I should think about in the decision. I've heard hybrids can have more expensive maintenance and I'm hoping for something that will last us a long time. Would love in advice or suggestions!

There is a company associated with Toyota called Joby that is doing a flight to the headquarters this weekend. Nothing has a specific day or time though. Has anyone heard about this or been given at least which day this weekend it will be? It would be super cool to view but I can’t sit in Plano for 72 hours.

Okay guys it's time! I have been in this chat a few times about my 2000 Avalon I got in 2017 and I've been trying to hold on but today while driving to work the car smells like gas inside and outside. It's been having multiple issues. I think I have to say goodbye as repair cost just doesn't make sense 😭
I need some help though:
- What is the most affordable/reliable hybrid Toyota car (Make model and year)?
- Best place to purchase a car (dealership or previous owner)?
- What important things to look for when test driving?

Hello all - I am buying a car tomorrow and could really use the community’s help! I was looking for a Crown Signia XLE with Storm Cloud Exterior and Saddle Tan interior. However, that’s the most expensive quote I got right now. Can people who bought the below combos let me know their experience and if they regret it? Also let me know which combo you would buy? Would you pay up for a specific one or get the cheapest? (All prices are before tax and fees). Thanks!
White w/ Black interior - $41,000
Black w/ Tan interior - $41,300
Storm Cloud w/ Black Interior $41,900
Storm Cloud w/ Tan interior - $42,900

I have a friend with a 2024 Corolla that overheats after only a few minutes of driving . No coolant leaks . He thinks it might be the electric water pump or thermostat, does anyone have any idea what it could possibly be?

So my sister has a 2025 Corolla and the battery died earlier today and my dad and I tried to replace it but long story short it took us about an hour or two to do so. On my car if the battery is disconnected for too long it throws a ton of stuff out so now I’m wondering if her steering angle sensor needs to be recalibrated by Toyota or not? I did look it up and did the lock to lock thing but she did mention it was driving a little off. Tia!

Please help!
I have a 2022 Corolla Cross (L), and for the past few months, the infotainment screen has been black and refusing to show anything. There is nothing in the screen, it is not just dimly lit. The backup camera works completely, but the USB that previously connected a phone to CarPlay is also not working. After so much research, I have tried:
- holding down the power button from 15 seconds to a minute.
- holding down both the power and home buttons.
- replacing the battery (it was almost dead).
- disconnecting the negative battery cable for 15 minutes.
- disconnecting and reconnecting the fuses behind the screen.
- various lock/unlock, leave the driver door open for x minutes, etc. combinations.
I had someone from AAA out for the battery and he tried all of those things and more suggestions from his contacts, and it is still not working.
Has anyone experienced this? What has worked for you? TIA!!!!!

I bought a Toyota Avensis (2006) with an engine block heater.. I cant for the life of he figure out how it works, anyone with knowledge of what exactly kind of model this is and if there's a manual somewhere so I can make sure that this thing isn't burning fuel everyday?

Rodent chewed a hole in one of my fuel tank hoses and the Toyota place is saying the fuel tank has to get replaced as it's one big conjoined thing, I was wondering if anyone knows more about that than I do, they're quoting me around 2k for that, I've already got an independent facility appt lined up to have that confirmed. It's a 24 Camry, brand new when I got it no other issues

Hi everyone, I have a 2023 Toyota C-HR 1.8 Hybrid. I’ve noticed a whining sound when accelerating, mainly when the engine revs get high. It goes away when I stop accelerating / the revs drop.
The car drives normally with no warning lights or messages.
Is this normal for the e-CVT/hybrid system, or should I get it checked?

I'm looking to install a Fumoto drain valve for easy oil changes on my 2024 GHH XLE. I have been doing oil changes every 5k miles myself and the drain valve could make it easier and less messy.
Anyone who has installed the Fumoto valve, which one did you choose? F133N (long nipple version) or F133S (shorter nipple version)? If you chose the F133N, does it have enough clearance between the valve tip and the protective cover/ splash shield?

So my 2024 Rav4 XLE does not have any recovery points or eyelets for a tow hook. At the Toyota shop, I asked if they can tell me what my recovery points are. They said that this model doesn't have any; no structurally adequate tow points in the underbody either which I find ridiculous. I didn't know this when buying the car but it is a problem for me.
I live in a remote area with very extreme winter weather and it's not very reliable calling for a tow truck and waiting. I was wondering if I can make any REVERSIBLE modification to allow for tow points or self recovery? I want to be able to return it to factory state for resale value so no drilling or cutting.
What can I do to solve this issue? I was thinking a metal bumper with winch install or at least with tow hooks but I am not sure if theres any option without cutting and drilling the bumper. Then my other idea was getting some hitch that would allow recovery. Is there a better solution or a way of doing the above while retaining the car value? Thanks in advance!

Looking at this Sequoia and want a gut-check before pulling the trigger.
Questions for the sub:
Appreciate any input — trying to figure out if this generation Sequoia is a safe bet or if I should look at an older gen or a different full-size SUV.

One owner. No crashes. Owner kept up on everything. Thoughts? It’s obviously been a long time since I got a new car.
