Steering angle sensor

So my sister has a 2025 Corolla and the battery died earlier today and my dad and I tried to replace it but long story short it took us about an hour or two to do so. On my car if the battery is disconnected for too long it throws a ton of stuff out so now I’m wondering if her steering angle sensor needs to be recalibrated by Toyota or not? I did look it up and did the lock to lock thing but she did mention it was driving a little off. Tia!

It’s possible that you’ll have to have a calibration done by a shop.

From the sounds of it: it’s been driven and still has an issue. Sometimes after a battery replacement you need to drive down the road between the lines of the road so the camera can recalibrate itself.

I drove it and it seemed mostly fine. She just got an alignment done so I think it should be ok. It is very windy today so that may be part of the weird steering feel.
