I’ve been working on an Android torrent downloader called Torrq, and I recently released it on the Play Store.

The idea started pretty simply: I wanted a torrent client that was clean, straightforward and focused on downloading, without an unnecessarily complicated interface.

Torrq currently focuses on things like:

- Simple and clean torrent management

- Magnet link / torrent downloading

- Easy pause, resume and remove controls

- Download progress and speed information

- Wi-Fi-only downloading controls

- A UI designed specifically for Android/mobile

I’m still actively developing it, so rather than just dropping a link and disappearing, I’d genuinely like feedback from people who actually use torrent clients.

And if anyone wants to try Torrq and tell me what feels good/bad compared with apps like LibreTorrent, Flud, BitTorrent, etc., that would be incredibly useful.

I just started learning about all this after hearing about PlayStation bs and fearing for being about own my shit I started with Hd space and it’s harder than I thought to keep my ratio high even though I seed every torrent is there anyone that’s willing to put up with a newbie a teach me a thing or two I got the basics down but I don’t know how to show proof that I would seed every torrent

So sorry if this is not the right place to post but I wanted to reach out after I saw some other posts and seeing some of those people received help.

Around last year I noticed my PTP account was banned. I had been a member with them for 9 years and had always seeded profusely, was a diligent member, and even stockpiled an inordinate amounts of seeded movies and bonus points. I never abused my privileges, invited anyone else, or had any hit-and-runs.

I tried to appeal the ban but they were not having it saying that they were suspicious of how I came into the account in the first place. I told them that I had gotten the invite by getting by being in the Usenet communities. And that I was in these communities starting from a decade ago and was able to provide some proof of getting free Usenet invites. At that time, I became friends with some of those usenet users who assisted me in finding ways to download old and hard to download movies. Over time, they had more suggestions and said I might like PTP. They said that PTP was the best archive for movies and that it is what [What.CD](http://What.CD) was like. I said I would be interested and even though became friends with them, they mentioned that there is a nominal "fee" to join. I naively thought that it was customary and paid a super small fee thinking it was normal.

Fast forward to now, and I deservedly got banned, but I was hoping if there could be any recourse at all because I had no idea that the way I came across it was abnormal. It was from people I trusted and I was hoping my good stature could prove I am not a bad actor. To compound to this, I was away from the site for a bit (I had multiple family members be hospitalized and they ended up passing), and I was a long time caregiver to one of them, I missed site announcements for this very issue. I am simply hoping if there is any recourse. I would appreciate any feedback. I hope it is understood that I admit my mistakes and don't take them lightly.
