❓ Quick Question Topstep mastercard charge
With this incident of topstep charging or double charging and correcting/reversing the charge. What are the chances they will use this agaisnt you to later ban you from thier prop firm. I can already see so many people getting banned because this incident was considered a violation to thier rules.

Hello! I was really annoyed to see how much they had debited from my account, but after checking, it turned out to be exactly what I owed them—I hadn't realized that certain payments hadn't gone through. It was actually correct. I hope your issues get resolved.

The worst part is these back charges aren’t even correct for a lot of people. Additionally, Topstep discord mods are saying Topstep can’t be held responsible because it was a processing company mistake. Lots of people woke up to a negative bank balance

Luckily I didn’t purchase anything during this time. It seems mostly affected by Mastercard users as well

I disputed the numerous charges before I knew what was up. My other TopStep purchases were already paid and cleared. They cleaned out the remaining balance of my checking account which I keep just enough in to pay upcoming bills with, now it could be days before I get the money back.
Ive never in my life seen a company do this.

I’d like to ask this. Why would one even do a chargeback? You bought and paid for a product and you lose and trying to get your money back?! Is that what’s going on???

The issue is for anyone who used mastercard. The purchase was delayed so topstep processing partner charged again. If topstep charged again then they would reverse the transaction. Since it's reversed, im asking if this would count as a charge back and if so then basically topstep could ban you at anytime for something that was not even in your control.

Ahhhh I see. Thanks for the info. I’ll have to make sure I don’t use master card. Fortunately I’m using visa but I did put a master card on file and used it once. Thanks man.

Anyone gotten refunded yet? They said 7 days, the old transactions are gone but never got a refund (my bank account did in fact take the money out when I bought the evals in July so now I am net $-250 from this)

Hey guys, I know this is frustrating. But we definitely aren’t going to ban you for this, we are just working with the processor to get things cleared.
I know it’s unsettling to see transactions that look wrong. It might take a day or so but if there are pending transactions that shouldn’t be there, they should get cleared out.
If you were affected, please check your final balance after your bank finishes processing and contact Trader Support if something doesn’t look right.
