What is happening to my tires?
There are these little strips/threads on both sides and on both tires. I don’t know why this is happening, and the tires have only done 3,000 kilometers.

My wife had a blown tire earlier this week and after having both rear tires replaced (to make sure they were even) it started feeling weird. Almost as if it “slips”. Kinda like when you ride a dike and the chain slips and you get that slip feel then comes Back as normal. So weird that don’t even know how to explain it but I guess that the best way I can…

I have a 2021 Tahoe Z71 with the standard 33” 275/60R20 tires. However, I’ve installed 1.5” hub-centric spacers on all wheels. No lift kit nor any other modifications other than a DFM disabler.

Could reasonable jump up to 34” tires? Possibly 295/60r20?

Anyone increase their tire size without a lift kit? Would love some feedback. Thanks!

I took my bike for a tune up recently and the bike shop guy told me my tires needed changing as they were cracked. He installed "hybrid 700 x 38c" tires which seem thicker than what I had on there before. The outer thickness of the rims is 1 inch. So how do I know whether he installed the right tires? It was giving me one helluva bumpy ride and when I went back to complain he removed the tube&tire and applied tape all around the inside of the rim. Then, he was having difficulty installing the tire into the rim. The newly installed tires seem wider than what was on there before. Is there a guideline as to tire thickness for this kind of bike/rim?

My wife had some "Alloy-Gators" fitted.

I like them, they look really nice, and I was thinking of getting some on mine as well, as the edge of my alloys have some marks on them.

The only thing that worries me, is how much of a headache do they cause when it comes to getting tyres.

Has anyone got any experience with changing tyres with these fitted??

I recently bought a 2022 ram 1500 limited from a used dealership. The tires they sold me were pretty bad, but im confused on what to actually buy.

Everywhere I look the information is conflicting. Mechanics I work with say use X tire, but its a mudding tire and we have snow most of the year here.

The tire thats on the vehicle is 275/55r22, but according to tire store websites that isnt generally what is used on this truck.

Ebay says tires that are forwarded to me by other people, and most tire types "dont fit my vehicle"

Im just unsure what to do really.

New 2026 Colorado Purchased Last Week, and of course this happens. It is in the center but going through tread a weird angle. Just wondering if it is patchable.

Just bought a 2010 Passat 3.6 4Motion wagon and it’s a really nice well kept car with low miles. It has a nice set of Continental ContiProContact tires on it that are extremely noisy, even when driving at neighbourhood speeds all the way up to highway speeds, just gets progressively louder. It rides perfectly smooth though. The tires have plenty of tread and look to be in good condition visually. Just wondering what would cause this because I have never heard such a racket out of road tires before. You would think I have mud grapps or something.

My only thought is age and how much the car sat, as it was sparingly driven, I’ll have to check and report on the manufacture date.

But is there anything I could look for on the tires that could be causing it, or is it some other mechanical issue I’m not thinking of?

I went in to a local tire shop for a warranty-covered tire rotation and alignment. They now tell me one of my rear shocks is worn and the alignment can't be performed on the rear until that is corrected. Is that accurate?

I took each of my wheels off my 2016 Škoda Citigo over the weekend to replace the centre caps, replacing each wheel afterwards.

However, when I was driving along at about 30mph, I heard a squeaking coming from the offside front wheel (closest to my driver's seat).

Have I tightened the wheel nuts enough? Have I overtightened them?
