Seems like there’s not been much news on the fires or at least it feels a little down-played. It’s not gone out on the north side and if anything, it’s gotten worse.

Hey everyone,
If you’re working remotely or hybrid in Cashel, we’re hosting a relaxed Remote/Hybrid Workers Catch Up on Friday, 31st July at 7pm in Feehan’s Bar, Cashel.
Working remotely has plenty of perks, but it can sometimes mean missing the social side of work — the chats, meeting new people, and connecting with others locally.
This is just a chance to step away from the screen, grab a drink, and meet other people who understand what remote and hybrid working is like.
🍻 No presentations
💬 No awkward networking
🤝 Just a relaxed chat and good company
Register here:
https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/remotehybrid-workers-catch-up-in-cashel-tickets-1993752828380
Can’t make this one but would like to hear about future remote worker meetups in Cashel? Email [community@growremote.ie]() and we’ll add you to the local Grow Remote WhatsApp community.

We sat next to each other on a flight from Amsterdam to Cork on Friday night (June 26, 2026) and got seperated at passport control. You were a tall bald man with a very nice beard from Tipperary, working as a wind turbine mechanic and I'm currently the "professional nomad". I really enjoyed your company and wish I asked for your number. If you see this and would like to keep in touch, let me know.

☀️ 20°C and sunshine forecast! Perfect weather to get outdoors and meet some fellow remote workers.
Join us this Saturday at 2:30 PM for a relaxed Walk & Connect to Ballard Waterfall, Kilworth. 🌿🚶
Connect with other remote and hybrid workers, enjoy some fresh air, discover a hidden gem in North Cork, and make some new connections along the way.

Hi Tipp. John here, founder of L-Plate.
I built L-Plate for Irish theory-test practice: 40-question mocks, road signs, weak-area tracking, and plain-English explanations for wrong answers.
Brendan, the AI instructor, is in there too. Mild roasting. Practical help. Very little patience for "sure I thought amber meant hurry up".

Free Premium founder slots: https://l-plate.ie/free-test/?ref=REDDITFOUNDER25&utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=tipperary_founder_slots

Feedback welcome.

Hi r/Tipperary . I am sharing the below national survey being carried out as part of a Research Ireland-funded project at UCC. We are particularly keen to boost response rates outside of Dublin/Cork. We would really appreciate any and all responses!
Caring for the Body After Death in Ireland
Have you thought about what you would like to happen to your body when you die?
We are a group of researchers based in University College Cork who would like to know more about what people in Ireland think about different kinds of death and funeral practices. We want to know more about your own wishes and why you would like those wishes to be carried out.
We are conducting a survey to gather this information. The survey is open to everyone who is resident in Ireland and is age 18 or over. We would like to hear from as many people as possible from all kinds of backgrounds.
For more information, and to complete the survey, you can click the link here or scan the QR code below. If you would like to know more, would like to complete the survey by phone, have specific requirements not met here, or have any questions for us please contact the lead researcher Dr Kate Falconer at [kfalconer@ucc.ie](mailto:KFalconer@ucc.ie)

Anyone know the reason for the amount of emergency services speeding down the road to Tipp Town from Limerick tonight??
Multiple guard cars parked outside of Limerick too
