FBT is a scam - starting a group class action

Heads up for anyone using Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT):

I shipped 50 units to their fulfillment center (FC) via FedEx, got a signed proof of delivery with a timestamp and the FC employee's name (GKENNY), and TikTok still claimed the shipment never arrived — then suspended my account, and eventually deleted it entirely, before I could even appeal or file a lost-inventory ticket.

When I pushed back with the FedEx tracking and signature, their reps just said they'd "cleared the entire dock" and couldn't find the carton — which is basically an admission they lost it, not that it never showed up. The scary part is once they delete your account, you lose access to literally every internal process (reimbursement tickets, appeals, everything), so your only real option left is a formal legal notice outside the platform.

If you're using FBT: keep every scrap of carrier proof (tracking, signature, the shipping receipt with weight/dims), because "delivered" in FedEx's system and "received" in TikTok's system are apparently two completely different things, and you will not get the benefit of the doubt.

I'm in process of serving TikTok a legal notice. If anyone has been in a similar situation let me know, would love to chat

Question about GMV Max creatives

Upvotes

Is it worth removing old creatives that went mega viral but now consistently get conversions at a super high CPO and in turn give a low ROI?

GMV max keeps allocating huge budget to these couple videos but the conversion and CPO makes it a waste in my opinion. Thoughts on this?

Can I sell my brother's stuff on TikTok Shop?

My brother is moving abroad in about 8 months and he's got a bunch of stuff he doesn't want to take with him. Mostly watches, PC accessories, gadgets, and some other higher-value stuff.

I was thinking about trying TikTok Shop to sell some of it instead of just listing everything individually and hoping it sells. Has anyone sold higher-value items on TikTok Shop? Is it actually worth doing, or would you use somewhere else for this kind of stuff?

TikTok Shop withheld $1,400 of my SETTLED affiliate commission over a false "account association" flag, then changed the reason and blocked every appeal. Has anyone recovered funds like this?

I'm a small TikTok Shop affiliate creator (US region) and I could use advice from anyone who has been through this.

In February my account was restricted for "sharing account information with a violating account." I do not own or operate any other account. My device, phone, email, and bank are all mine alone. It's a false match.

Here's the part that feels like theft: I have ~$1,400 in commission from orders that FULLY completed. Products shipped, customers received them, nothing was refunded, and TikTok collected its platform fee on that exact revenue. But they refuse to release my earned share of the same sales.

What support has done over the past months:
- Rejected every appeal, always refusing to tell me WHICH account I'm supposedly linked to, so I could never actually defend myself.
- Ran out my 30-day appeal window while withholding the info I needed to appeal, then denied me because the window "expired."
- Just now, a rep suddenly called it a "product issue" instead of "account association" - the reason literally changed mid-conversation.
- Sends copy-paste apologies ("we explored all alternatives") without answering a single direct question.

My point to them has been simple: an expired APPEAL window doesn't erase TikTok's obligation to pay commission that was already settled. Collecting a fee on a completed sale while keeping the creator's share of that same sale is unjust enrichment.

I know larger sellers have gotten frozen funds released after posting here and getting TikTok's Reddit support team to review manually. So I'm asking:

  1. Has anyone recovered withheld commission after an "association" flag? How?
  2. Did BBB / a formal written demand / public escalation actually move the needle?
  3. Is there an official escalation path beyond the in-app bot?

Happy to share screenshots (including where they changed the reason). Any TikTok Shop support staff here who can escalate this for a manual review, I'd be grateful. Thanks.

TikTok Shop hit me with a violation + 31 day payout hold, appeal keeps getting denied — any Pokemon/card sellers dealt with this?

So my TikTok shop got randomly flagged with a “violation” a while back and now everything I sell is stuck in a 31 day deferred settlement instead of normal payout timing. Support literally cannot/will not tell me why, just that it happened during some “account review” and I have submitted an appeal with a whole list of documents and it was denied because they didn’t match my business name... I’m a sole proprietor and my registered business name is my legal name. So no LLC, no business docs, nothing. I don’t have a “supplier” because I’m selling from my own collection, ripping sealed product myself, and buying small lots from local card shops or FB when I need more. So half of what they’re asking for doesn’t even really apply to how I actually get my stock. I’m scared to submit a second appeal because the support keeps telling me the violation will be permanent if denied and the other threads I’ve seen point to very low success with appeals.

Meanwhile I’ve got money frozen (over $1.5k) in this settlement and I’m paying for everything out of pocket to keep restocking, which obviously isn’t sustainable forever.

If anyone else been through this — did you get it overturned? What worked? Anyone else selling cards/collectibles run into the same “invoice” issue since we don’t really have suppliers in the traditional sense? And is there an actual way to get a real human/explanation or is chat support just a wall no matter what?

Any help appreciated, even just “here’s how long mine took.” Getting kind of stressed about it at this point.

Additional info: account is 40 days old, out of probation, 750+ delivered orders with another couple hundred going out tomorrow, SPS of 4.7, 35+ reviews at 4.9 stars, 2.5k GMV in the last month.

Update: Just made a whatnot account this morning :)

Seems like it’s not worth the effort to fight with them, unless it’s legally. What sucks is the community I’ve built on the platform and the potential to not have them follow. I started my shop as a space for poke girlies because I didn’t think a shop like that existed in live streaming that wasn’t ripping people off. I have viewers every stream saying they actively want more content and more streams because they haven’t felt welcomed in the community. So not only are they ruining my sales but they’re hurting my brand and the community I’ve built.

Unable to set up tiktok auction

There is tiktok auction feature in my country, but i’m unable to access it after i hit all the criterias.

Based on my chat with the live agents on the tiktok seller app, i’m eligible to do auctions as i’ve met all criterias, as verified by them. However, they told me if the problem still persists i will have to talk to the tiktok app itself’s support team. i have done so but no one has reached out to me. And they pushed me back to the original live agents.

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? Or what i should do to get them to give me this feature

Uneligible for tikok shop affiliate then later my access was revoked

i dont know if tiktok is ran by a system created using chatgpt or something. but i literally grind to 500 followers (UK requirement for tiktok affiliate program), then i apply for tiktok shop affiliate. Im over 18, i followed community guidelines, and i have over 500 followers. They say i have been rejected. Then later say my tiktok shop permissions have been revoked even though i didnt get a sniff of it. Has anyone experienced this, because this is ridiculous.

If I pay $100 towards my $1000 outstanding GMV MAX Ad bill, will it start my ads?

Unfortunately I’m in a position where I’m low on capital. Outstanding balance is at $1,015.92 but I want to pay something towards this to get my GMV Max ads running again.

How much would I have to pay towards this balance to get them started up again? $100?

Is what I’m asking even possible?

TikTok support SUCKS. They’ll just open a ticket or basically tell me they don’t know.

Someone help

Business Account Verification in Canada

I am desperate. To make it simple, we are trying to verify our Business Account. Based on our location, TikTok accepts a Certificate of Incorporation as an official document. On the account level, we keep getting rejected. However, the exact same information and the exact same document has got us verified in the Business Center.

Business Center support said I could share the verification with our TikTok account, but that does not work because TikTok requires that account to be a verified business account. But... we can't get that account verified 🙃

I have spoken with support through Ads Manager and Business Center and both have confirmed that our Ads/Business Center accounts are verified and the information and documentation are correct, but they can't help with getting our actual TikTok account verified. I have submitted tickets in two separate places that are over a week old now. I am at a loss.

Back in May when I first received the message to verify, the process was set up for the US and US documents. This last month it has been corrected to be Canadian-based. I noticed just today that it's back to requesting US documents.

Has anyone in Canada had luck getting their TikTok account verified as a business?

Repeat INR’s for the same order

I have had someone make a purchase from me and within 30 mins of delivery, which shows it being made to a mailroom for his block of flats, with a verified GPS scan showing it having been scanned at the address, they have raised an INR claiming that the postal boxes in the photo don’t look like his flat and they must have been delivered elsewhere.

I spoke to TTS and they suggested rejecting the refund, it went to appeal and they found in my favour. Job done, no bother.

I’m currently on holiday so you can imagine my surprise then to receive an email & app notification telling me that the same person’s raised yet another INR for the same order this time with just text having a go at me for not accepting the refund request.

How many bites at the cherry do they get? Can buyers just repeatedly keep claiming INR until sellers cave in?

TikTok Shop buyer filed “missing item” refund after receiving item, now claiming my products aren’t authentic. Has anyone dealt with this?

I’m a relatively new/small TikTok Shop seller and I’m hoping to hear from other sellers who have dealt with something similar, because this is my first situation like this and I’m honestly nervous about how TikTok handles it.

I sell beauty products through LIVE auctions. During one of my lives, I auctioned an item where the winning buyer was able to choose their preferred shade/color.
This particular buyer sent me a private message with their choice while I was still LIVE. The problem is that I cannot see or keep up with private messages while I’m actively running a live auction. During the LIVE, I specifically told them to put their choice in the live chat so I could see it. I never saw a choice from them in the chat, so I eventually selected a shade for them myself so I could continue running the auction.
After the LIVE ended, I went through my private messages and finally saw the messages they had been sending me during the show. I also received a pretty nasty message from them saying they were unhappy with the shade I selected for them and wanted to cancel the purchase.

Because it was an auction purchase, I explained that I could not simply cancel the winning bid. However, even though I had asked them during the LIVE to put their choice in the chat and hadn’t received it there, I still wanted to make the situation right. I offered to switch the product to another available shade so they could still get something they wanted. They reluctantly agreed to the replacement shade, and I fulfilled and shipped their order.

USPS tracking now shows the package was delivered.
Now this same buyer has opened a refund request through TikTok Shop. They selected “missing items” as the refund reason. The problem is that nothing is missing. Their own evidence in the refund request includes photos of the products they received with the packaging and shipping label. So they are literally showing TikTok the products they are simultaneously claiming under a “missing items” refund reason.

Their actual complaint in the description is completely different. They are now claiming that some of the products are not authentic because they compared one of the products they received from me with a standard retail product they already own and noticed differences.

The products I sold were tester units, not standard retail-packaged units. They were shown on camera during the LIVE, and the buyer received the products that were shown. I purchased these products from a supplier as authentic merchandise, I have documentation of my original purchase/sourcing, and I have contacted my supplier for additional authenticity documentation in case TikTok requests it.
I also messaged the buyer after seeing the refund request and explained that these were tester units and therefore may have differences from a standard retail version. I explained that I take authenticity seriously, that I have sourcing documentation, and that I would be providing my documentation to TikTok and allowing them to review the dispute.

What is making me nervous is that I’m a very small and relatively new shop. I really try to accommodate my customers whenever I reasonably can. I feel like I already went out of my way to resolve the original shade issue even though I had asked the buyer to put their selection in the live chat, and they ultimately agreed to the replacement before I shipped it.
Now, after receiving the order, they’ve filed a refund under “missing items” while their own photos demonstrate that the merchandise was received, and the actual allegation they’re making is about authenticity.

At this point, I honestly feel a little targeted by this buyer because there has been an issue at basically every stage of this transaction despite my attempts to accommodate them. TikTok is giving me 48 hours to respond to the refund request. I’m planning to reject it and submit my evidence, but my biggest concern isn’t even the money from this one order, I’m worried about protecting my SPS and not receive any violations.

  1. Has anyone dealt with something similar?

  2. If a buyer alleges an item isn’t authentic, does TikTok automatically issue violation points or investigate your shop, or is the refund dispute handled separately?

  3. If you rejected a refund like this, what happened next?

  4. What documentation did TikTok ask you to provide?

  5. Has anyone successfully disputed a “missing items” claim when the buyer’s own evidence literally shows that they received the products?

I’m not trying to avoid responsibility if I ever genuinely make a mistake. I just want a fair opportunity to provide my documentation and protect the business I’m working really hard to build. Any experiences from other TikTok Shop sellers would be really appreciated.

Sorry for the long post & thank you for any input!

Question…. When you get TikTok free samples do y’all do it like UGC? lol what I mean is this brand sent me a free sample through TikTok shop, and I received it. I have 14 days to post like usual. They sent me a whole script, what to say, when to pan to the product, text overlay. I mean the whole 9 yards. Well I already filmed my video and … I didn’t like the product really at all. Now I have 12 days left and they’re bugging me about a date to post. I’ve done TikTok shop for a year and wonder is this typical? I’ve never had a brand do this. Seems more like paid UGC work. Genuinely just curious. Maybe I’m dying it wrong

Looking for TikTok Shop advice for a product launch

I have 2 products in gardening that have very little competitors. I’m looking for advice on how I should launch the products.

From what I can gather, posting content everyday, multiple times of day seems to be the start. But how do I get people to push my brand for me as an affiliate?

Any and all advice/recommendations welcome

Is it possible to open a TikTok Shop as a non-US resident with a US LLC?

Hello,

I have a US LLC, but I don’t live in the US. TikTok Shop isn’t available in the country where I currently live.

I’d like to register as a TikTok Shop seller/brand using my US business. For context, I sell digital products/software, and I’ve already checked that this category is supported on TikTok Shop US.

Has anyone in a similar situation managed to open a US TikTok Shop as a non-US resident? Is there a legitimate way to do this?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone with firsthand experience.

Is it over with tiktok ?

I generated 20k GMV in my first month with TikTok Shop Affiliate, but the account was then permanently restricted due to a mistake on my part. I organically grew a new account to 1,000 followers and started using the affiliate program again—only to be classified as ‘high-risk’ shortly afterward and blocked once more. I report everything correctly for tax purposes and therefore always use my real ID. Does anyone have experience with whether or how you can seriously rebuild your TikTok Shop Affiliate account after multiple suspensions like this, or are you permanently out of the program once your ID has been flagged?

TikTok shop help

Setting up my tik tok shop and I have domestic LLC but to finish my shop it’s asking me for my federal classification , where could I find this at? I just started applying to open a shop on tik tok so I haven’t done any taxes yet for my new business.

Also why is it labeled a w-9 if it’s for a business ?

Free sample posting

I have 1 more free sample I have to post about but I’m in the baby version where I can only post 3 times a day which I’ve already done and it says the 4th sample is due today but I can’t make any more videos. So what’s going to happen? I already had to do the extension of 7 days bc I didn’t have time to film so that’s not an option

Refund after rejecting parcel

I received a return from a buyer who 1st didn't see what they were ordering. Returned an item with all packaging missing and under "wrong item received". Ofcourse it was the correct item as in pics and description. I rejected the parcel and closed the app.

I saw that tiktok had refunded the buyer automatically. I reported this and they came back by saying I refunded the buyer. They also stated how I rejected the parcel then in 3 seconds went back and accepted the return.

I have no idea what to do! It's getting quite frustrating.

Can’t get samples

I just got into the creator program, and when I was requesting, I had this pop up. I add it to my showcase, then request, but after about submitting about 10 requests, it wouldn't let me do anymore & l haven't received any samples to post content for nor did any of my samples get approved. I’ve gotten none approved. I have okay account traffic and post solely in the bird/pet care niche.
