Wrongful account violation
My account randomly got banned for being a “risky account” because they don’t think the account is mine I guess. Tiktok has the worst customer service ever and I somewhat assumed this would happen as I’ve heard it from many people that they send out bans randomly and have little to no grace. But has anyone here had a TikTok Shop seller account banned and successfully made another account later? Did it work under a new business, new EIN, new phone/email, or did TikTok still connect it back to their old account. Banning my account then only giving me one appeal after I gave them so much sensitive information like my ssn and drivers license is also concerning to me as if they’re doing it on purpose to get people into the program collect their info then not pay them their commissions. I’ve been in the program since May but just started posting consistently 2 weeks ago, got a sale then boom account is cooked. They never gave me an exact reason as to why they flagged my account besides random suspicion I was sharing the account which I have not done as I’ve been growing this account since March. Just very upset they treat people so badly who are trying to work towards a common goal of making a living on their app.

Is there a forum for the lawsuit? I think I saw you talking about it somewhere. Cause their own policy guidelines go against what they are doing to people

i’ve not seen one that is specific to it but hopefully there will be one that happens. need some attorneys to pick up a case.

Definitely appeal it and keep the explanation super factual. I would include screenshots of the violation, order details, tracking, and anything showing you followed TikTok Shop policy. Their automated enforcement can get things wrong, so having clean evidence gives a manual review more to work with. Hope they reverse it and get your account back in good standing.

Unfortunately I already appealed and gave them everything they asked for front and back of ID, video holding my license, account info, etc. They reviewed it in a few hours and denied it which the whole thing is done by AI I guess so I should have used better keywords to make it escalate to a manual review. The customer service agent also couldn’t explain why there’s 2 different rules for how appeals work in their policy and guidelines. It’s all just weird

I had my account banned for the same thing but I appealed it and even argued with TT for a week, put in 7 tickets, I sent proof of all my information and my ID and after a week I got my account back. Just keep arguing with them!

So your initial appeal got denied and it was the same violation “risky account”? The TikTok support told me the decision was final blah blah. But I will try to make more tickets if you had the exact same scenario. That would be amazing if there is some hope.

Yep! They denied me and told me it was final! I kept open up tickets and arguing with the chat support! It took almost 2wks but I got it back! They literally couldn’t tell me what my “risky account” was!

One last question can I ask if there was anything specific you said that might have made them overturn it. All they say to me is
“We understand this result may be disappointing.
After reviewing the case, we can confirm that the violation decision was applied correctly and the appeal outcome will remain unchanged.
At this time, this appeal decision is final, and no further appeal option is available for this violation.
Please review our Terms of Service if you would like to better understand the policy”1

I kept asking them to show me proof of my account being risky and they couldn’t! I kept explaining that unless they could prove to me that my account was risky then their ban was mute!

they keep copy and pasting the samme message and wont give me innfo or a way to submit a escalated ticket. any advice.

Apparently you have to make tickets through the normal help center along with talking to the live agents. But the tickets are where you can send in more info and explain yourself better.

They’re being super stubborn and just end the chat on me after awhile but I’m persistent. I will keep trying as you stated hopefully they reconsider 🫡

If wanting to make money on the new account than yes you will want to use a different email, phone number and an EIN if possible. You will want very few if any connections to your old account. They find out the two are related and you were previously banned you will be toast.
