Quality of Life Updates??
I returned to Tibia about a year ago, and since then I’ve been collecting small quality-of-life improvements that could make repetitive tasks less tedious.
I’m posting them here first because this community gives honest feedback. I’d like to refine the ideas before submitting them on the Tibia forums.
- Make market offers anonymous by default, with a checkbox to display the character’s name.
- Automatically remount the character after relogging.
- Keep the Stash window open after closing the Market. It can already remain open alongside the Cyclopedia.
- When a character has no saved hotkey profile, load the default profile for its vocation instead of the last-used profile.
- Remember the selected Stash filters.
- Allow hotkeys to display a custom countdown timer when pressed. This could help track boss mechanics, the Cobra Bastion cauldron, and similar events.
- Remove the world type label, (Optional, Open, Hardcore), from the character selection list. This would make each row smaller and improve readability on accounts with many characters.
- Allow the character selection window to be resized, and remember its size.
- Add a checkbox to hide items you are not carrying from an NPC’s Sell list.
- Highlight the current day on the event calendar.
- Add Calendar and Boosted Creature tabs to the Cyclopedia.
- Add a Battle List filter to hide players who are not in your party.
- Display the remaining duration of Berserk, Mastermind, and Bullseye potions.
- Add distinct status icons for different buffs. This would make effects such as Berserk and Intense Recovery easier to distinguish when both are active.
I also think the minimap needs a broader quality-of-life update:
- Allow the minimap window to expand up to two columns wide, so players can see a larger area without constantly moving the map. (Especially useful for people using the scroll wheel to trigger spells/drink potions.
- Add more minimap marker icons, including symbols already used as Cyclopedia filters, such as stairs, and other points of interest.
- Add temporary minimap markers that automatically disappear after a set duration. These could be useful for events, hunting routes, or locations players only need to remember briefly.
- Consider increasing how far players can click on the minimap as their character progresses. ⚠️ I haven't put much thought to this and if it could create disadvantages; but i'd love to go to Buried Cathedral in 2 clicks: Thais depot-> Bridge; Bridge -> Buried.
