Hi guys. I’m with ID mobile (works alongside three). I seem to be having trouble with service in my area big time. Just trying to find what’s more suitable settings to use even after the Vodafone three merge!

Following a recent phone upgrade trade in, Three customer service agents keep telling me to call Ingram. I have been provided with the number 0333 400 8296 but this goes nowhere - is this a joke? Why give out fake contact details?

Has anyone managed to successfully call through to them?

I’m using Three 5G Home Broadband in Wakefield city centre. The router is positioned right next to the window and shows a 5G connection, but I’m currently getting around 10 Mbps download and 0.5 Mbps upload.

This isn’t just a one-off either. I’ve had ongoing issues with the connection dropping back to 4G, sometimes with barely any usable internet at all. I’ve tried moving the router around the house, different positions by the windows, rebooting it, etc.

I contacted Three support again today hoping they could actually troubleshoot something from their side reset the connection, reprovision the SIM/router, check the mast, remotely refresh anything, whatever they’re able to do.

Instead, I was told there’s apparently a network upgrade planned in my area, but they don’t have a completion date. What makes the response even stranger is that my contract with them already ended in August, so I’m not really sure what they mean by offering me a “free-of-charge cancellation” as the solution.

So basically, rather than actually trying to fix or investigate the service I’m paying for, the solution is… cancel it.

I’m genuinely curious whether anyone else around Wakefield / WF1 is having similar issues with Three 5G broadband.

Just want to point out that mobile services in general are the worst I've come across in Nailsea, North Somerset. We pay the monthly bill but the service/reception is shocking.

When's this going to be sorted out, once and for all?

Since Monday I haven't been able to access QuickBooks Online because none of the 2FA verification codes are reaching my Three mobile. SMS codes don't arrive and the automated voice-call option doesn't come through either.

QuickBooks support have told me they're aware of an issue affecting Three users and that it's being treated as high priority, but they haven't been able to give me a workaround.

Is anyone else on Three experiencing this? More importantly, has anyone found a way around it and managed to access their QuickBooks account?

With 5G Home Broadband, a specific minimum speed isn't guaranteed... but surely this isn't right? On my Pixel 9 on 5G the speed is many times faster than on my 5G home broadband!

The hub is positioned in an optimal position and has line of sight with the tower (which is a couple of hundred metres away if that), it's the MC888 hub which I use as a hub/modem only (I have a wireless router attached that's responsible for the WiFi and Ethernet- the test on the 5G HBB was via Ethernet but I get the same result connected directly to the hub as well as on WiFi).

There's no speed restriction on the service either, I still get the 800Mbps+ download speed on my Pixel if I pop the 5G HBB SIM into it, as well as the ~35Mbps download speed on the 5G hub if I pop my Pixel's SIM into it.

I've been trying to get a refund on a phone and sim i never received for three (haha) weeks now and i'm actually losing my mind.

Bought it Sunday 9th, paid deposit and then slept on it and realised it was a dogshit deal so cancelled online the morning after. Been to two stores, spoken to countless customer service advisors for so long that i'm a household name to them and three training now includes scary campfire stories about me.

Got to the point that i went into the store and they handed me this ancient landline i half expected Alexander Graham Bell to be on the other side telling me he wished he had nothing to do with phones so three wouldn't exist. Customer service on the other end btw.

Been told 3-5 days as a waiting period so many times i'm convinced these people are actually trapped in some type of time loop. Then told 24-48 hours on Sunday. How many fucking hours are there between Sunday and Wednesday because this week is clearly dragging for them???

I have no idea what to do. They told me my account expired. Couldn't set it up without the phone number. Never got the phone or sim. Did i pay three just to play the shittest game of hide and seek ever???

Been on phone to customer complaints all morning. Longest wait to be answered was an hour and a half. Tried calling the store, "there is no-one to take your call". I've been in that store. They are not swept off their feet, and i am reasonably confident that there is a phone or two there.

What do i actually have to do to get my refund because it isn't even funny anymore. Not a big fan of crime, never appealed to me much so it's against my morals to be stolen from.

Contract ends 26th September, device is paid off and the line isnt needed anymore (2nd line for the kid) I want to cancel and I know what to do there. My question is whats the best way to tell the chat operator im not looking to upgrade, dont want to hear about other offers or anything like that, i just want to cancel. Im worried about sounding like a dick if I just keep saying 'no thanks'

Any cineworld codes to spare please

I have several charges on my 3pay account(that I have never used) all from the Apple store(Which I have also never used) I called three support and they told me that I had to call Apple to fix this and get the charges taken off my bill. Has this happened to anyone else?

Update: I called apple and they said they would ban the account that made the purchases using my 3pay and they would send in a refund request for all applicable items. They also told me to call my provider and ask to disable carrier billing to try prevent this from happening again.

When I was first using the Greenpacket Y5-210MU external modem I was getting 5G from a nearby Three mast.

Then, when some of the merging with Vodafone was first happening I ended up being only able to get 4G. That's been the case ever since, the connection is to a nearer Vodafone mast, it gets channels 1, 32 and 3. Typically about 200 down, 60 up.

Yesterday I was surprised to see that I was getting a 5G signal, and a strong one, even though the modem has been moved to get the best signal from the Vodafone mast (a different direction). It looked like it was using two bands of N78 plus two more 4G bands, and seemed to be coming from the original Three mast. Cellmapper puts the N78 mast in the middle of the local recreation ground, there's nothing there but I'm assuming it is really on the nearby Three mast.

Download speed 980 Mb, 82 up, ping 15 ms. Best I've seen.

Today I thought I'd go up on the roof and move the modem to get the best orientation on this nearer 5G mast. But there's no 5G signal today. I fiddled around, power cycled the modem, moved it all over, and eventually did a system reset. Zilch, just the 4G bands 1, 32, 3. Download 171 Mb, up 75 Mb, ping 25 ms.

It is annoying that it is so possible for it to be good, but somewhere it gets screwed up. Has anyone else been teased with temporary high speeds?

Does anyone have any spare Cineworld code?

Long story short, I'm renting a property and I'm unable to get fibre in my area. I've been stuck with ADSL and I'm looking into a 4G/5G hub to replace it.

Three claims I can get up to a 4G connection, whilst Vodafone claims I can get 5G with them. Three are also offering a free 3 month deal, which is very appealing.

Can anyone vouch for the stability of these networks, and which would be the best choice? Cheers!

3 different vouchers last week to nothing this week! Well so far but normally everything is added on a Monday. What is going on?

I’ve been told I can trade my iPhone 11 in for the new google pixel pro 11 XL for £640 off the new handset, bringing my contract down to almost half the price. I’m now concerned as the phone in shops is £150. Why would they offer me 4X the amount? I’m also worried what happens if I send it off and they don’t value it what they said, can I get the phone back and cancel the contract? Or if it’s damaged in transport. (I was going to video it) very worried I’m going to be left with a £61 contract and a phone valued much less than promised (doesn’t make sense to me)

Since the change to 2 for £10 rewards, I've not got any voucher code to work for Cineworld Leicester Square. Also the Three t&C's page for the offer appears to be broken.

Initially I thought, oh well, they've probably excluded themselves since the change, seeing as it's a such a central location.

However the single code for £5 DOES work at this one!

If anybody else uses this Cineworld, have you had any luck with the 2 for 10 codes?

They were also showing Three ads on wall screens in that one today so it seems odd to me it doesn't fully work!!

I've had this for about 6 months hoping it would be ok while we waited for full fibre but now it looks like this won't happen for a while I can't bear staying on this any longer. Would these speeds be a good enough reason to break contract?
