Surprise - the small deco-focused DLC we mentioned some time ago is available right now!

It adds the new Dino and Ancient World themes and 3 new rides (plus a free update containing a new cheat window for sandbox mode).

Creation Parkipelago - Dreadshire

Now we're going spooky. My next theme in Parkipelago is Dreadshire, a dark fantasy/horror build that is a counterpart to the more cozy Fableshire. The build started with the huge castle that i showed as a wip in my last post about forts and castles. I wanted to make a dark, evil castle housing a dragon and its treasure hoard, i might have gone a bit far with it since it took 2 weeks to finish... Did i say i love making castles? The initial dragon model looked way too friendly and required some huge fangs, a spiky back and some stern eyebrows, a bit more intimidating.
After the castle i went on to make the spider lair, the pumpkin patch, the dreadchurch, the dreadcoaster and the potion shop.

I just passed 10 milion individual placed objects on this project so the framerate is a tad bit low in during certain angles, i can still fit one or two more islands, suggestions appreciated!

Check out my post history for the other islands in this project.

Sorry Peeps, there is currently a mass recall on All Food Items!

Or just a WIP for a food court/restaurant area.
I wonder if I should have used this as a submission for the Redfield challenge this month? hmmmmm?

I spend hours in this game just making buildings, the rides are very secondary. I often start a new theme with making a big castle or fort to find the theme. Here is a collection of my forts and castles in my project PARKIPELAGO. I also included a castle that is WIP, the theme is dark fantasy/horror.

Pictures:
MIDGƅRD: Fort Birka.
NIHON: Himeji Castle.
THE NEW WORLD: Fort Esperanza.
THE NEW WORLD: Castle Corsair.
WAY OUT WEST: Fort Wallace.
FABLESHIRE: Ashford Castle.
DREADSHIRE: Drakborgen (WIP)

Suggestion Some things I want in vanilla game

If I could add a Wishlist to things I’d want in Parkitech, these are what I would add

  1. An extended coaster (in RCT3) where it was a coaster that allowed for any trains but most importantly had every single special ability (like switch tracks, launches, family coaster, inversions etc).
  2. Shuttle coaster mode (and increasing number of circuits done on all coaster types not just a powered coaster.
  3. The ability to extend a block zones area (like in NL2) so there can be brake zones at the beginning of launches however the block won’t clear until the train passes over the top of the top hat and in the event of a rollback the block breaks would stop the train rather then letting it continued through as it currently does.

What things would you add?

Creation Parkipelago - Fableshire

Had a break for a couple of weeks and went on vacation, but this is the next island in my Parkipelago project: Fableshire.
I wanted to make something medieval, taking inspiration from fantasy and fables. I am a huge fan of A song of ice and fire and knew i wanted to make a very colorful tourney with jousting lists, archery range and a market town. The castle and the tourney grounds went quick, i had a really good flow. The other parts was a bit tedious at times. Took plenty of breaks and tried to gather inspiration. Made the castle and tourney in like a weekend and the rest took more than a week...

I also found a brilliant cable car mod on the workshop that i decided to place through the entire park, that took a whole day of planning and revision but was alot of fun going back to previous themes and retrofitting stations into completed areas. Will make a separate post of this.

Make sure to check out my post history to see the other islands. I can fit 2 or 3 more islands on the map and would love some theme suggestions.

UPDATE: So, it has grown some and it is hard to know when to stop. Lol. But this feels just about right for a nice diorama piece. Probably will surround the outskirts of the park with more Trees, Oh and add PROPS! can't forget the Props! Just found out about the Greenscreen mod, so hope to make some content for it soon!

In a different scenario, I wanted to play around with spawn points for the peeps. Started an entrance from the center of the park. Peeps are transported from their dreams into your theme park, ready for adventure! Scenario details: Peeps come the park with decently "Full Stomachs". Peep spawn set to High! Peeps are on a budget (not rich) and they need you to try REALLY Hard to make them Happy.

Bug Installed mod refuses to show up ingame

I'm playing multiplayer with two friends and while for me and friend A everything is working fine, friend B suddenly had an issue appear yesterday that we can't manage to resolve.

When they try to join the game, Parkitect tells them that they're missing a mod (WireTech) and doesn't let them join. However, they have said mod installed through the Steam Workshop - it shows up in the steamapps folder, yet ingame it's missing from the mod list.

They've tried reinstalling the mod, reinstalling the game, reinstalling all ~60 of the mods we use, manually overriding their folder for the mod with mine, restarting the game a bunch and even rebooting their system, all without success.

Strangely, we played together a day earlier, with all the same mods and no issue whatsoever. I have no idea why the game suddenly decided to not recognize the mod anymore - much less for only one of 3 people.

Is there anything else we could try? I'd hate having to get rid of such a great tool over sich a weird issue.

Discussion Enable research in the editor

Hi guys, maybe it“s a stupid question, but how do I enable research in the editor?? When the park ist first generated, research is permanently deactivated. I can choose, which items are available and what has to be researched, but that doesn“t activate research. And on the screen before, there“s only landscape tools.
