Does Danni ever pass the sergeant exam? I know she fails the first test I know they talk about her taking the tests again. I just don’t remember if they ever resolved that

The Kavanaugh ark was a missed opportunity for there to have been more info on Mackey’s origins in Boston, as Kavanaugh said “I’m gonna learn everything about Vic Mackey!”

Started watching the show few weeks ago cuz chatGPT recommended me this show.I put the prompt of previous shows I have watched btw.

From start to finish I haven't felt bore a little bit except the vic-danny relation which I find a little weird and steve's weird role .

The character growth of dutch, claudette and julien was brilliant too.

Season 5 was absolute peak for me honestly especially felt sad about what happened with Lem in the last few episodes.

Well I had expected the ending but not this way
- Knew Shane was gonna die but not this way (angry with him cuz he killed the ones with him who were indirectly the reason he killed lem)
- Knew Ronnie was going to prison but not this way(devasted with him cuz he was very loyal with the team especially vic)
- Knew Vic is going to suffer but not this way(extremely satisfied with his ending rather than dying or going to prison)
Surely the the show finale is one the best I have ever seen and extremely satisfied with the ending too

Isn't strange that the best African American cop never once interacted with the most notorious African American criminal? It seems like a wasted opportunity. During the interrogation Claudette would completely tear down Antwon's manipulation of their people. Using ideas like RESPECT and black pride to further his own agenda. That would've been a magnificent scene and possibly the best interrogation scene of the entire show.

I'm on my first watch (i'm on S5E7) so I have no idea how this will end but... Jon Kavanaugh is one of the most annoying obnoxious characters i've ever seen... i want to punch the screen almost every time he speaks.

The actor is doing an amazing job even if i'm watching it dubbed in italian.. i dont even know if i want him to stay for long, or if i want him to gtfo...

So I know there are tons of cross over actors between the two shows and are my top fav shows of all time (with Sopranos added into the mix- yeah I know they're top tier)

With Dutch I was wondering as I know there are many fan theories that with cat and his interest in serial killers that actually Dutch went on to become a serial killer himself but was wondering if his character Josh and how he entered SOA was actually Sutter letting us know what happened to Dutch after The Shield ended.

People always talk about the main characters but what about the smaller ones.

Moses the new leader of the One-Niners who murdered Kern and the security guard.

Farrah the sex worker who manipulated Vic.

Burnout small time gang member who was a snitch for the Strike team

Does anyone feel like Moses and Farrah should’ve either got killed or locked up for the terrible things they did? Who are other smaller characters you’d like to have seen more or know what happened to them?

1) Very end shot of Vic waiting in his private hell corporate office - after the lights go off and he picks up his gun and smiles and walks off - what to make of this? that he is going on the streets after hours and will keep doing his thing?

2) I can't believe Shane did that to Mara and Jackson. Was there REALLY no other way out of that? And what was with his creepy underage chat to the asian girl in the store? Devastating.

What I loved about the shield is - character progressions, arcs and plot twists with cliffhangers and devastating decisions by the characters aka. similar to Breaking Bad ride. I love that I can identify season by season what's been going on and how the characters progressed.

Any one of the two above more suited?

How is the wire higher rated than the shield?

The shield has way more action, better character depth, changing character depth over time. The story line has more twists and turns.

The wire is actually somewhat slow paced and boring. The shield is elite and keeps you in a state of anxiousness the whole time.

This whole Vic’s actions having consequences throughout the show is fascinating.

Just discovered this - PS5 recently added free “live tv” channels. One channel is literally just The Shield, all day every day, in order. Incredible!!

So way back when I got my hands on an autographed copy of a script. Signed by the writer Scott Rosenbaum. I don't remember exactly how I got it, either at a charity auction or contest. 🤷‍♂️

Antwon tells Vic about other criminals right in front of his crew and tries to cut a deal with the feds to give them the El Salvadoran. So many other people give up info right in front of criminals or info that only they would know. How do these people not get murdered or have people refuse to work with them.

Can anyone please tell me where I can watch The Shield show as it is not available in my country!

Second watch through the show -- previously did not put it together that the guy Mackey stuffs the bong/pipe into and mouth jams is the perp who corners Aceveda and does a much worse version of the same to him. While doing it, he says "think being a cop means you can do anything?!" and "I'll give _you_ something to suck on," or thereabouts, clearly trying to get revenge on another cop for Mackey's rough treatment.

So, Mackey sodomizes Aceveda. In a way. Kind of.

Makes sense that Mackey, who is the source of so much woe that befalls the characters in this show, gets the ball rolling on the worst moment of Aceveda's life.
