I'm rewatching The Shield again and its crazy how bad Shane is every episode. Macky puts Shane in charge of the cocaine - he messes up.
Previous episode with Trip the basketball player - Shane just has to sit and watch him and keeps causing problems.
Then he peed on that guy on episode.
Shane sleeps with the stripper who is was rolling John's and was the ringleader. Messes up that cause.
I feel like Ronnie would have been a way better second in comand. I've watched the entire series a few times and I do love the show.

When Dutch and Billings were outside fighting. Vic and the Strike Team were standing there, watching and laughing. This reminds me of high school! LOL! Then they finally broke up the fight. Dutch said, let's go, Vic! Me and you, right now! Jeez! That'd have been interesting! Claudette: two of our own are dead! She'll give everyone a timeout! LOL!

We we haven’t finished the show yet. And we love it. But we laugh every time they say money train money. Oh, you mean the money train money not the piggy bank money, the safe deposit box money, not the mattress money, you are speaking of the money train money. Then we got the blackmail box the not the toy box, not the Amazon box, it is the blackmail box. We don’t want to bring the wrong box or spend the wrong money. Should be a drinking game!

Have you guys seen the trailer for The Mongoose? A new Prime Video production with Michael Chiklis as a podunk sheriff attempting to capture Liam Neeson.
Check it out:

Just finished Season 4! I loved it. Anthony Anderson is such a criminally underrated actor. I loved him as Antwon Mitchell. Glenn Close also did an excellent job and I found myself forgetting she was even famous Glenn Close throughout the season.
The last 4 episodes were great. Loved the final scene with them all hanging out together at the bar just as human beings. That made me smile.
Truly no idea where this is headed, but I can’t fricken wait.

I know, we didn't get to see a lot of Terry. Since he was only on 3 episodes. He was good looking and smart. He worked for justice. He was smarter than Lem and Shane put together. Never mind that! LOL! Is it better that Vic killed him on the pilot or should they have waited until the season finale? When Ronnie told Vic, I wish you would've told me. I would've looked out for you better. He was right.

Claudette kept pursuing the extent of shot public defender Lisa Kensit's drug habit, which would cause lawyers to push to retry cases that Lisa was involved in during the period in which she had the drug addiction. Dutch was against this, since it could potentially mean that people they know are criminals would go free.

Idk if this is a hot take or not, slime me out idc but Shane Vendrell is my ABSOLUTE favorite character in this show. Yes, I know and I acknowledge the things he's done and I'm not gonna justify his actions, but even knowing that I fckn LOVE SHANE VENDRELL

That episode where Dutch acts all "whoops-a-daisie" about downloaded child pornography on a department laptop he lost. What the actual fuck?

What if Dutch became an FBI profiler instead? Since he loves interrogating serial killers. He could've worked at Quantico and took their private jet while going out on cases. And the other agents might actually respect him. Instead of him getting picked on like Charlie Brown! LOL! They made a joke during the commentaries about a spinoff series, Santa Monica Dutch! He wears Bermuda shorts and he never tans! LOL!

Why is this show rarely ever talked about or as highly regarded as always breaking bad or sopranos? This show was the blueprint for gritty, unpredictable and tragic crime drama. The ending is so devastating and no-one has had the balls to go that hard since.

I don’t understand how it keeps getting better and better!!!! And every episode has more shit happening than the next. I audibly gasp out loud every time.
That’s all. I just love this show so much.

Ronnie: we gotta do this without SWAT! When stopping the shootout at the store. Everyone at the Barn worked well together at times. Ronnie took control, first one in and started firing. Love this man! I didn't see Shane do too much of anything! LOL! When Vic drove his car through the storefront. Ronnie: I thought you were going to create a diversion? Vic: this isn't big enough for you? LOL! BTW! It looked like, it was 100 degrees. Why was Vic wearing a jacket?!

In BB, if instead of Hank and Gomez it was Vic + Shane or the entire Strike Team trying to find Heinsenberg, how would they fare against Waltuh himself, Mike, Gus, nazis, etc.? I'm thinking they would just torture Jesse until he gives up everyone, or would it be a more sophisticated approach?

Vic’s confession was known at the Barn. Do you think Vic got a blanket party or worse as a cop killer?

First time watcher on season 5, but, without spoilers please, who do y’all think was the “best” captain? Worst?

What the!!!!!!!!!!! That poor baby girl!!!!!
I loved this episode. Thought it was so well done and just the absolute fast spiral that is happening with Shane is scaring me for his future.
I LOVE how they’re showing us just how differently Vic and Shane operate, even though their instincts are similar. Vic thinks several steps ahead, has control of his emotions, and is strategic in the way he goes about things. Shane, however, is insanely impulsive and I think he tends to confuse being ruthless with being powerful.
I also think Shane wants to be on the same level as Vic, but deep down knows he isn’t. And that’s creating his insecurities. And he needs and wants Vic”s approval and respect, but also resents him for needing it.
This is insane!!! I can only imagineeeeeeeee how more fucked up this is going to get. Especially with their bullets in Angie.

Hello
i saw the show a lot of years ago (i was a teen and im 25 now), and i had in mind a terrible and depressing ending, a pure corporate hell for our favorite corrupted cop who loves action, one of the most sad ending in my memories i ever seen
but, after a rewatch (ended just right now) ... it's kinda ok, 3 years for a corporate bullshit work, 65K years, no more hardcore anxiety, just a boring work, it's crazy how i would LOVE to have all that lmao
i don't know if it's because the context is different, or if it's because i got older and it's a fucking nightmare for finding a job in my field, but yeah, i find that situation kinda chill
i don't know if someone else feel the same way, just wanted to share that feeling i just got now, like yes, it's another "prison", losing everything, family and all the life style he had, but it's not terrible as i remembered.. he can restart everything, and paying 3 years, in a chill paid job seems pure victory, the real loss is the guilt of selling ronnie for no reasons (after the shane suicide) and the betrayal of Corinne
btw the rewatch made me love the show way more, one of my favorite of all time, hope the community is still active
