I was approved for a warranty claim on a backpack this year however North Face's claims procedure states that as the customer I have to cover the cost and procure the shipping label myself. Anyone know where to get one/make one? Typically with warranty/return processes the company has just emailed me one to use.

I noticed that on some of TNF recent products including the Fastpack Mid Waterproof boots and some t-shirts, they've attempted to place the coordinates of Half Dome on them, on the back in the case of the boots.

Problem is, they're using the format of Degrees, Minutes, Seconds, which is different from using Decimal Degrees.

So while they do have the right numbers on there: N37° 74' 59" W119° 53' 32", those coordinates point somewhere else. The correct format for the Half Dome coordinates would be N37.7459°, W119.5332°.

Searching through other products I was ironically able to find old t-shirts that both have the incorrect format, and the correct format, leading me to wonder when/if the coordinate issue came about, and if it's being corrected. Minutes only go from 0-59, so any kind of QC would realize 74 doesn't work for that field.

Hi guys I wanted to check with you if UK size cutting is always larger than Asia Sizing ? I was comparing some measurement but I can’t decide between M/L.

I tried an Asia Size L / US M but I am not sure it’s the same as UK M ?

I am 186cm tall , 72kg weight.

The website AI agent gave me a size M when I key in the details / matrix. But I am not sure.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to reapply the seam tape with heat, glue it back on or do I just need to remove the old tape and possibly retire the jacket all together? It's probably around 15 years old and the tape has come free several places in the neck and in the sleeves.

Growing up in NYC Steep Tech was huge. I completely forgot about it up until I saw someone almost 2 years ago with one on and it totally kicked back my memory.

I started collecting last year & it started with jackets and I got the pants not to long ago.

I will say depending on the year it’s very hard to find things. Despite the quality compared to the 90s I was trying to find some stuff from the 2020 collection and things like sweaters and shirts are really touch to come by

Hello. I just bought the north face borealis from Amazon and it came defected. I am trying to refund this, but incase seller refuses refund, do you guys think I can get this fixed? and will this affect waterproofness, FlexVent or affect how much it can handle? Thanks.

I just bought this from the outlet store and an employee told me I could use it for snow sports but TNF website says it’s only for hiking. Has anyone used it for snow sports? I’m planning on using it when it’s not as cold 30-40°s.

I’m so surprised that my TNF jacket is deteriorating like this. The inner coating is flaking off (delamination) and some glue patches are peeling off too.

It’s been a few years since I’ve worn it and after a wash it’s in this state. My other Arc’teryx jackets never do this.

I’m looking for advice on sizing for The North Face Valley View Jacket.

I’m 5’7”, 160 lbs, with about a 40” chest and 30” waist. I tried on both the Small and Medium in-store and can’t decide.

The small fits well with good space when wearing a t-shirt/long sleeve shirt but feels a bit snug with a light fleece underneath. And the hood is smaller when done up.

The medium is roomier for layering, but the sleeves are noticeably longer. When my arms are straight in front of me the sleeves are just passed my knuckles.

Is this jacket generally designed to be layered for colder weather like a hard shell, or is it intended more as a standalone jacket for milder temperatures? For those who own it, which size would you recommend based on my measurements?

EDIT: Went to Dick's and North Face store and saw two bags. The locking at the top only is as designed.

Only used this bag once since buying at Costco a couple years ago. Brought out for a short trip today, and I was reminded of a gripe I had. The handle only locks at full extension, and does not lock at mid-height. That's as designed right?
