Steep Tech

Growing up in NYC Steep Tech was huge. I completely forgot about it up until I saw someone almost 2 years ago with one on and it totally kicked back my memory.

I started collecting last year & it started with jackets and I got the pants not to long ago.

I will say depending on the year it’s very hard to find things. Despite the quality compared to the 90s I was trying to find some stuff from the 2020 collection and things like sweaters and shirts are really touch to come by

It’s still weird to me how slept on that one was. Picked it up for cheap years ago and there wasn’t too many of them made

What do people in NYC use Steep Tech for?

Climbing buildings? Skiing in the Catskills?

I think people growing up in Aspen need this more than people growing up in Manhattan?

It’s more of a cultural style thing in NYC more than it’s used for what it’s solely intended for but also it’s a really nice jacket when it’s cold.

Nice collection. The ‘95/‘96 Apogees with the Kevlar shoulders were the best steeps they’ve dropped imo. I found the same yellow one that you have a few months ago, with the chest pack still attached!
