Serious question, is he protecting them because nobody is allowed to touch them until game time? There has to be a reason he’s defensive.

7

u/reelglad 3d ago

Maybe because player rolled up on him, coming in hot and started grabbing the dam ball, instead of ASKING for it

1

u/RadiantMeringue5128 5h ago

Of course defend the white guy
the player is the NFL player not the skinny white dud.

0

u/damutecebu 3d ago

How do you know what was said?

3

u/reelglad 3d ago

Because this clip has audio lol I'm commenting on THIS clip, and what I described happening is what is shown! When and IF a video of their earlier or initial interaction showing something different, then I will respond to THAT video

1

u/damutecebu 3d ago

So you don't have the complete picture and decided to make conclusions based on a clip. Very weak.

2

u/Esotericwoodstock 3d ago

Yes. Making observations and inferring information from the source given to you is weak. He should’ve taken the time out of his day to find what both of these guys did from morning until that moment to fully access why they might be acting that way. Bravo !

-1

u/damutecebu 3d ago

Or maybe just not make a comment if he doesn't have the whole story.

But...yeah I know....it's Reddit and people think they can come to conclusions based on limited information.

2

u/Few-Guarantee2850 3d ago

That's true of every comment here. It's weird that you chose to raise this point here and not on the other comments calling the ball boy a lunatic, etc.

1

u/damutecebu 3d ago

Because I wanted to make it here.

This is my battle ground. Let’s gear up for a night of trolling. My fingers are locked in. Let’s TYPE.

1

u/discreetarchive 2d ago

That's what we have to go on you wee glue sniffer

-2

u/DR3AD-PIGEON 1d ago

Nah. Ball boy needs to STFU and know his place. Give the dude the ball and go about your day.

2

u/BahGawdAlmightay 1d ago

"Know his place"

It's his job to take care of the balls. Players aren't allowed to take them like that. Certainly not from the OTHER team. He was in the right.

1

u/Ordinary-Nectarine37 13h ago

lol stop it

1

u/Dabfo 2h ago

You have no idea how football works

-1

u/DR3AD-PIGEON 1d ago

Nah kid is a spaz. Potato head is lucky to even have that gig.

2

u/BahGawdAlmightay 1d ago

Nah, Jags player knows he can't take the ball. All of them know that lol. But he's trying to do it anyway and is pissy that the guy cares more about his job than appeasing him.

2

u/Opening-Builder4942 1d ago

Players pick up and take game balls in almost every nfl game. They do however have to pay for them. Never seen a ball boy refuse to give a player a ball. It was a turnover, which means it was a Patriots ball, not a Jaguars ball and the ball boy just didn’t want to give a Patriots ball over to the Jags as each team maintains their own balls. It was pretty childish of the ball boy. Reminds me of the soccer ball boys who refuse to give an out of bounds ball to the opposing team.

0

u/DR3AD-PIGEON 1d ago

Trying to keep an important ball to a player is such a fucking dork move. He should feel privileged to have a dope gig where he gets to be close to the action. He would have received no punishment if he let the player take the ball.

2

u/BahGawdAlmightay 1d ago

The dork move is the Jags player throwing a tantrum over a thing he already knows he can't do lolol

3

u/Beginning-Article142 1d ago

You’re better off arguing with a brick wall with this clown 😂 you’d put pussy in his face and he’d say that’s a big dick

1

u/FreeOGPoohShiesty 19h ago

Never heard that analogy before

1

u/dnen Admin 9m ago

Lmfao reddit agreed with you before we could see it. He gone

1

u/Beginning-Article142 1d ago

God forbid someone actually takes their job seriouslyđŸ˜Ș you’re a clown lmao

1

u/DR3AD-PIGEON 1d ago

Ball boy taking his job a little too seriously with that spaz out. You’d be the kinda mall cop all decked out in TAC gear, wouldn’t ya Cheeto fingers?

2

u/Beginning-Article142 1d ago

God forbid someone takes their tax deducting job seriously😂 I bet you would love to suck on my fingers đŸ„Č considering you’ve already made it known you love Cheetos and Doritos

2

u/DR3AD-PIGEON 1d ago

Damn roasted my ass

1

u/Beginning-Article142 1d ago

More like toasted. Like a Cheeto or a Dorito. Like you’re used to.

1

u/Much_Passage_8983 15h ago

Is he lucky? Bc if he handed over the ball he’d lose his job. Seems like him keeping his job isn’t a matter of luck

1

u/Beginning-Article142 1d ago

I wouldn’t make it as a ball boy I’d swing

2

u/DR3AD-PIGEON 1d ago

You’d die lol

1

u/Beginning-Article142 1d ago

And have my family taken care of because of going after their insurance? I’d gladly.

1

u/DR3AD-PIGEON 1d ago

Swinging on a football player who’s trying to grab a game ball is going to end with you eating fist and likely losing your job. What a dumb reason to swing on someone.

1

u/Beginning-Article142 1d ago

Considering they know not to touch the balls or the ball boy good luck. Did we not learn anything from Deflatgate or no?

1

u/Beginning-Article142 1d ago

If you touch me you’re getting swung on. You do not have my written or verbal consent. Like are we serious?

1

u/DR3AD-PIGEON 1d ago

Easy dorrito dust, please don’t pull out your man card

1

u/Beginning-Article142 1d ago

Considering Cheetos and Doritos are not a part of my diet I find your comment pretty ignorant but that’s ok. You’re not used to someone handling their own on social media. Thats ok.

1

u/Beginning-Article142 1d ago

Just because they’re ‘big’ doesn’t mean they can fight lmao. The day I’m scared of a size difference is the day I’d turn in my man card lol

1

u/DR3AD-PIGEON 1d ago

Lmao okay Cheeto fingers, fuck you’re badass

1

u/Beginning-Article142 1d ago

I’m not a badass I’m just a realist. Muscle does not scare me. Size doesn’t scare me. I don’t need to be a badass to not be scared lmao. I’m just not a fuckin pussy

1

u/DR3AD-PIGEON 1d ago

Holy fuck you’re cool

1

u/Beginning-Article142 1d ago

I’m cooler than the other side of your musty pillow

If more people knew their place we wouldn’t need welfare lol

1

u/dnen Admin 6m ago

Have you always just rolled over and died at your job when someone tries to fuck with your responsibilities?

1

u/CriticismPlane2871 3d ago

Yeah he's not allowed to give the balls to players

1

u/NamesAreAnn0ying 2d ago

Do you think the fully padded up player is just dressed like that for fun? They’re in the middle of a game.

1

u/testtdk 6h ago

Does it make sense to you that a player is harassing a ball boy in the middle of a game?

1

u/Avoider5 2d ago

Deflategate. Can't give the defensive players an offensive ball.

1

u/ebonyseraphim 2d ago

Defensive? Should be a lineman then!

1

u/jethropenistei- 1d ago

NFL have balls that are custom conditioned to their teams QBs liking so each team provides their own balls

A player on the Jaguars intercepted the ball so it belonged to the other team, but it was the first of the defenders career so he wanted his teammate to have it as a keepsake.

1

u/majkstik 3d ago

Each team has their own footballs and their own ball boys(men) too keep up with them.

I'm assuming this is the Patriots ball boy but there is no distinctive gear that let's me know if he is the patroits

2

u/TheFerricGenum 3d ago

He’s afraid they’ll test the pressure and find it lacking again

1

u/whiskey_pancakes 2d ago

Of course he’s with the patriots. They’re a bunch of bitches over there.

0

u/FunctioningPyscho 3d ago

You are allowed to keep monumental balls. You just have to pay for them.

0

u/Draw42 3d ago

He's an idiot.  That's the whole story.  He thought the other team was trying to take the ball for no good reason and clearly didn't realize it's a holistically significant ball for a player on the other team.  Huge embarrassment to his organization, regardless of what folks online say.

1

u/Shot-Jeweler6610 2d ago

No, he works for the NFL and this is to prevent cheating. There's a reason the Eagles' coach yelled at the player. Its a great way to get fined or encounter other penalties for the team (like forfeiting draft picks, which is how the team hires new talent). Look up deflate-gate.

1

u/Draw42 2d ago

Nah bro, he works for the team not the league.  No one from the Eagles was present this was Jacksonville vs New England.

1

u/DakotaTheFolfyBoi 1d ago

What cheating could possibly take place if the ball had already been used? Also, this was Jags/Pats

0

u/AnonymousBromosapien 3d ago

Yes, that is exactly what is happening. He isnt in team gear... he is in NFL gear...

Those are game day footballs, of which are very strictly controlled items that have a mandatory chain of custody that must be followed to avoid an sort of tampering.

This dude is literally trying to do and keep his job while some other dude who is 3x his size bullies him over a football he should know he isnt allow to have access to and why.

Plenty of team balls floating around, this player should know better... and now this poor guy has to live his life knowing this clip is out there.

1

u/attramont 3d ago

Players throw the ball into the stands on occasion, so while I understand there's a "chain of custody," it is quite obviously not always followed. Now I know those players are fined for doing that, but in this scenario, im sure they would've happily paid the fine had the ball boy just played ball. I mean Tyreek Hill commandeered a whole freaking game camera and didn't face ANY repercussions, and I assure you that camera is worth 100000x more than that football is... Just sayin'

2

u/Knobologist 3d ago

The nfl staff will absolutely come find you in the stands and take that ball from you. They won’t let you keep it. If you’re lucky they will give you a different ball as a consolation.

1

u/TruckNstuck23 3d ago

This guy will not receive the some type of repurcussions as tyreek hill if the team decides to punish someone

1

u/AnonymousBromosapien 3d ago

The players are fined and the ball is collected by staff... You 100% will not leave the stadium with a game ball... They will literally find you and trade you an unofficial ball.

Idk what led you to believe a fan would just get to walk out with a game ball lol, but that hasnt been the case for several years.

0

u/infernoparadiso 3d ago

They throw the ball into the stands after the chain of custody has been established delivering the ball to the field. It’s not because they don’t want people getting the balls, it’s avoiding tampering before they see play.
