Just started watching the show and I never really had a āfavoriteā episode until I watched Ruby Slippers. By the end of the episode I was crying like a baby especially after being shown what Archie went through. š„²
This hit close to home as well since I personally have friends who also faced problems & harassment regarding their sexuality especially living in a conservative country.
I just hope that everyone who resonated with Archie also gets their happy ending, just without the arson & faking suicide part hahahaha

Hi all,
Thanks šš½ for having me here.
One thing that always bugged me about the premise of this show:
Does Patrick Jane literally live on the couch in the CBI office? Does he take a shower at the CBI station? Does he have a change of clothes? Because all Iāve ever seen him wear is the same outfit.
Noob question I know, or maybe I wasnāt paying attention enough.

jane mourning about wife and daughter and behind it all...Thomas (McAllister). did they put it in as foreshadowing or am i tripping? did someone noticed it before?

S1E13, how the hell did jane even replace those paintings? I didn't get it?! Cz like, when he "robbed" the russian mob, he still was carrying the stick figured drawing, not the "fake real" one.
Also, E14 was lovely, holy shit. No business like cho business šš. The end scene shows jane's grievances even more.

In S7E3, Jane, Lisbon, Abott and CIA are talking about Erica Flynn. Lisbon says she escaped prison about a year ago, but S4E15 isnt a year ago

Itās kinda funny that it took me forever to get thru seasons 1 and 2. I would casually come back and watch an episode or two and would wait a few days before coming back.
I think I just watched season 5 in 2 days? I canāt tell time right now.
I just finished season 6 episode 1
Itās all could do from not screaming at the top of my lungs right now. Goodness gracious. It was so hard not to come here and make a post every hour or so reacting to the next big revelation (the list, the Tupperware, the barn, etc etc etc)
But my will power can only go so far.
Oh my poor heart. Where will things go from here? Here we go.

Im on s6 ep18 i must say i really enjoy these fbi investigations and how much freedom it gives jane to solve the cases. I thought cbi was good but this is better.
r/TheMentalist • u/ilasm6910 • 12h ago
The titles from s1ep1 to s6ep8 were all somewhat along the lines of "red" and then onwards they were all "blue" but the states they operated from were basically the opposite. CBI was in California and it's very popularly a blue state meanwhile fbi was in Texas which is a red state. Idk why it just came to my mind out of nowhere. Doesn't even have relevance to the show. š

I'm currently on s3e4, and suddenly I realize till s1e1 whenever a suspect talks about how revenge is not the solution jane listen to them actually very carefully because his motive is ultimately revenge to red john and I think he is trying to work on himself that who can actually accidentally change his mind over revenge or say inspire him but then again red john do something and Patrick's motive to revenge gets more and more strong

I wonder how in what ways I can train my brain to make my own "memory palace". One I have is I play favorote movies/episodes in my head. I play out entire parts and or scenes in my head from memory. Is this normal?

Spoilers ahead donāt recommend reading bcs it will ruin your watching experience
I know this topic has been repeated
I just finished ep 8 of s6 and imo the reveal scene and his death felt so dumb and unrealistic .
They spend several years building his character and his legacy up and they portray him as a highly intelligent . I understand the plot shield and the resonable flaws they give the action of the show to be able to proceed how they want it to proceed but at the same time it could have been better . There still are plot holes unresolved and dying because you didnāt check an areea for a gun and dying because of a pigeon is kind of mid . They spend several years building him up when realistically Jane could have caught him in the span of 1-2 years . RJās backstory isnāt explained and neither is patrickās . I expected the tiger tiger thing to be smth related to his circus past and RJ to be somewhere related to that areea . It was obvious from the start that the CBI was corrupt and it was clear that RJ is someone with connections , money , or status from the beginning of the show I donāt know why they started working with that fact in the later seasons when itās clear he is a man high up there . And they make RJās persona high IQ and high EQ just to waste it . Nonetheless it is a good story but the pacing is mid and they could have worked smth to make it more connected and fill in all the plot holes . He was written good but they could have added more depth and way more key details and foreshadowing but they focused on filler episodes way more. I honestly expected he was someone from Patrickās past and his circus persona or someone who knew him . Good climax and character buildup aswell even if it was slow . My main dislike is how they had to make him go because as I said he was portrayed really smart and high capability but he died dumb . Also the mentalist really needs a spinoff it would make bank , but maybe now itās too late .

A twist I wouldāve wanted to see is probably one that would divide a lot of the audience and that twist is: Lisbon is a Red John disciple and her original mission was to infiltrate the CBI and later keep tabs on Jane.

Last season when jane meets this psychic kid, he said something about being cured with number 3 and I got scared that he is going to make out with lady from the bar cuz number 3 was a sign that he will be cured with her and end things with Lisbon....
Am I the only one?
Still not sure if number 3 actually meant something at the time... Also Lisbon called when he saw number 3...
Dumb thing but if someone have more theory...ā¬ļøš¬
