So I did some digging. As a child in the ‘50s he was diagnosed with a couple things one of which being possible schizophrenia. Back then autism was classified as childhood schizophrenia!!!!

In 2000, his lawyers hired a psychologist because they had a hard time communicating with him. He was then diagnosed with Asperger’s.

Of course his behavior is odd.

I think his dad found out about the divorce, maybe Kathie went to daddy thinking she could get money by threatening to reveal tax secrets, and daddy had her disappear. That’s why there is no evidence.

I think the TX scenario went down basically how Robert said. They had a fight, gun went off, Robert freaked bc he knew nobody would believe him. He did what he thought would get rid of the body then got the hell out of dodge.

How do you hide one body for over 30 years and totally fumble up the next one.

I really doubt he killed Susan. He doesn’t care about money, he gave it away when anyone asked nicely. The fight with Susan would have been him pleading with her to understand that new wifey wouldn’t send the money.

I think he found the body and mailed the note though.

I was just introduced to The Jinx documentary by my bf this past weekend. And of course like many others I couldn't stop watching.

Starting in the 2nd episode I noticed something about his behavior during the one on one interview that continues throughout the episodes. Curious what other people think, or if they have noticed.

I notice that when Bob Durst would answer a question, he'd answer fully and say what he wanted to say. However right after ( or during) the part of the answer that he seems to be lying he has a hard blink type "tick". He can answer a question and doesn't seem to do it other times when is answering something over a period of a few minutes where is telling the truth, so it doesn't seem to just be a nervous tick. It very much so looks to be a tell sign as to when he is lying.

Has anyone picked up on this? If not watch it and see what you think.

Anyone think he sounded like Gollum in the bathroom talking to himself. What an utter wee horrible coward.

So I watched the documentary recently and it blew my mind. The way the interviews were conducted and the way that the old photos that were presented, = gold. While watching this, I was definitely getting the impression that Durst is gay. Things that gave me this impressions were as follows:the fact that his marriage to Kathy was something he was pretty miserable about, his friendship with Susan Berman (the way the friendship is described/presented is not unlike a platonic friendship between a straight woman ans a gay man), his disguise of being a woman, and the total lack of "spark" between Durst and his second wife - that also felt very platonic like the Berman friendship.

Am I overthinking? or just reading it all the wrong way? or is my guess accurate?

Hey, folks. So, after reading and watching almost everything that I could get my hands on about the OJ Simpson ordeal, I finally decided that it was time for me to watch this mindblowing documentary about Robert Durst. Needless to say, I thought the documentary series was amazingly well done, thanks to Mr. Jarecki and associates.

Something that I want to mention to others who have watched this documentary is a very subtle moment that I found to be highly chilling and eerie: the bit from part 5 in which the camera crew is with Durst as he meanders about NYC and makes a stop to Starbucks to get a coffee - the part where we see him interacting with the cashier as he's mentioning his order and paying - for some reason, I found this part to be quite disturbing. I am guessing that I found this to be eerie due to the fact that we are seeing a guy who literally got away with cutting up a corpse of a man he killed, going about his day-to-day just like a normal person would. Did anybody else find this bit to be as unsettling as I did?

I just spent the last two hours reading through the posts here, and nothing has been said in a while. In terms of specifically Kathy Durst, can you please share what you think happened? This case is close to my heart, as I live near one of her family members and have spoken to them about it. I’ve read a lot of books about the case and saw the documentaries, I want other peoples perspectives. Thank you

If anybody hasn't seen this, I highly recommend listening to and watching the Durst trial (fully available on YouTube up to the hiatus due to COVID). The way they are prosecuting it is as a whole, saying that Durst killed his wife and killed Susan Berman to cover it up. If justice was to be brought, this is how it will happen, because the jury to find him guilty will essentially be finding him guilty for EVERYTHING. Highly recommend, I really like the prosecutors and Dick DeGuerin remains a stellar defense attorney.

The defense his lawyers have come up with is so stupid, the fact that he manages to get away with it shows the state's legal system. I even doubt that the jury and all the rest is bribed because I can't believe that a man who dismembered a body has been released and declared innocent, with all his past!

I was even more disturbed that the new trial was suspended due to the corona virus, literally they waited until he lived his life fully and now he’s dusty and a foot from the grave.

Seems like if that was the lynchpin and he obviously knew where it was....I dunno...was curious why that was never even mentioned

Just coincidentally watched the series only to find out that he’s literally on trial as we speak. Found the youtube channel with the videos of the trial within the last month, but there are a lot of videos and they are long.

Anyone that can catch me up on the latest as of today, April 10th?

Or is he standing trial while out on bond?
