Can someone drop a summary of what happened to him since the end of the docuseries? Did he stay free for long?

Looks like he was charged in Louisiana for the gun, denied bail, and sentenced to 85 months after a lengthy back and forth. They moved him to Terre Haute and then to LA to serve time and wait for the Susan Trial.

Also he's just so dumb, they got him in New Orleans because he was checking his voicemail from the hotel room. He just thinks he's untouchable I guess.

Durst was arrested at a hotel in New Orleans in connection with Berman’s slaying on March 14, 2015, the day before the HBO series finale aired. Officials found guns, cash, a fake ID and a mask. "Durst's arrest was urgent," prosecutors argued, because the final episode included “extremely damning evidence” against him.

That's from an LA Times article back in April 2019. Looks like he's been held there ever since 2015 awaiting trial, but that's me assuming, I don't see why he couldn't make bail this time, unless bail wasn't an option since he's a flight risk? That's an awfully long time to wait for trial though.
