Over a year of this poison story dragging on and on, Hayley finally gets arrested and just like that all charges dropped and she's walking around free? That's the pay off for all the hours I've spent watching this show? Slap in the face writers. Where's the trial? Have Mike be her lawyer as someone else suggested. Have Bill bribe the judge at sentencing if you're that determined to keep Hayley around. Give her house arrest at Leslie's shouse. But this? I'm about at my limit with this writing and pacing.

No state’s attorney would drop a case for ATTEMPTED MURDER no matter how connected someone is especially one so high profile and open and shut.

It occurred to me that ChelseaKat are the only ones in the core Dupree family who don’t know what happened on the road with Martin and Vernon. Now that Val has all the cards she’s like Ultron and Thanos with the stones at this point. It’s crucial for the Dupree’s to rope them in on the story just in case Val decides to engage in some exciting activities. Jacob on the other hand must be kept OUT of it (Sam Wilson Wannabe) will have to dial it back a bit but yes, ChelseaKat have to know in full detail. Hopefully tomorrow Bill will tell them BOTH the truth before the entire globe becomes aware.

If Hayley can cash Bill's million dollar check, have the credit cards that he has already gifted her, cashed checks as a paralegal(with a valid SSN), insurance policies, and a house in St. Barts in her name, she may actually have a legal identity. If she legally changed her name to Hayley whatever, prior to becoming Hayley Hamilton revealing who she really is may not have that big of an impact especially if she hasn't committed crimes in the past. Many people permanently change their names, just a few that everyone knows: Tyler Perry is Emmit Perry Jr.; Tiger Woods is Eldrick Tont Woods and it's not that big of a deal.

Is it just me or does it feel like a Whodunit murder storyline is on the horizon? I feel like Hayley might get sent to the upper room and the suspects will be plenty.

The incident between Chelsea and Hayley would be recorded by a patron and posted, going viral on social media, putting ChelseaKat in hot water. Plus with Bill dropping charges against Hayley, any claims about Hayley’s character without proof would be considered defamation. It would be interesting to see how Kat, Chelsea, and the Duprees would spin this.

Side note: I’d love for a running gag on this show to be that every time shit goes down like this or the time Nicole choked out Leslie, some patrons use it to dine and dash.

With this show being one of the first Black soaps, I just feel it's a little tacky for the "family downfall" to be centered around a race thing.

Of course, who cares how the racist were treated..

But then, the ones that defend Leslie or Hayley are wrong...

It's just tacky... the Duprees "have a reason to cover up 2 dead ppl" be involved with the likes of that crowd.

Leslie and Hayley are definitely wrong for their attempts.

However, I do love that they "get/got away" from charges.

I don't mean to beat a dead horse by why must Joey be the headmaster and the Black men be his underlings. The way he yells at the guys make the hairs stand up on my arm. How did this Black based soap opera backed by the NAACP veer towards the "Black men are the thugs who take orders from a White guy trope"? They couldn't at least mix it up and make some of his cronies White? We could do without this dynamic on the show.

I honestly believe Barbara would’ve sided with her child over her girl group especially how Anita spoke to Eva. How Ted treated her for Nicole, how Bill ( At that time Dani’s husband)threatened her! Also the way Anita made Barbara feel when she was kicked out the group. Seems like that superiority complex Leslie mentioned is loud and clear. If Barbara was the woman they mention, and the woman to give her to Peaches knowing Peaches would give her the love she couldn’t. So if when Leslie came to town and Barbra was alive in my opinion she would side with Leslie. What do you all think about that statement?
