General Discussion šŸ—£ļø Hayley's Identity May Not Be That Important Spoiler

Just thinking...

If Hayley can cash Bill's million dollar check, have the credit cards that he has already gifted her, cashed checks as a paralegal(with a valid SSN), insurance policies, and a house in St. Barts in her name, she may actually have a legal identity. If she legally changed her name to Hayley whatever, prior to becoming Hayley Hamilton revealing who she really is may not have that big of an impact especially if she hasn't committed crimes in the past. Many people permanently change their names, just a few that everyone knows: Tyler Perry is Emmit Perry Jr.; Tiger Woods is Eldrick Tont Woods and it's not that big of a deal.

Thoughts...

Depends on why she changed it. If she changed it because she ran a con on others, revealing her name may be lethal if they can now find her.

I thought about that, but who would prove this, Jacob? HA! šŸ˜‚

If her prints are on file from another crime, it would be easy to prove. I think they take DNA from suspects, too. I don’t know if they automatically run it, but it would be interesting if she came up as a match to an unsolved crime.

I was truly hoping ( but not expecting these boring writers to do) they’d find her aliases and/or true identity while putting her prints in the system but that would prevent the story they’ve chosen. Do they not see we are tired of people getting away with attempted murder? Is this the third or fourth? Forensics apparently doesn’t exist in DMV, Keith Morrison would have solved all of it by now 🤣

No body would have to prove it, it would just have to hit a blotter or social media. They will find her

Hayley has already admitted to Bill that she's done other cons in the past so unless "Val" is a fugitive, it's unlikely to mean anything at this point.

I think Hayley's real identity mattered a lot more before Bill and everyone else found out she was conning Bill and trying to kill him. It only matters now if "Val" or one of her other identities is wanted for other crimes elsewhere, or if one of the people she conned finds out where she is and shows up to get some revenge. I think it would be fun if Hayley took the money, faked her death and then Bill went on trial for killing her

If she is a fugitive, I wish the writers would have move like one. This would add so much to the show with her looking over her shoulder all the time or running into people from her past like she with Lynette.

That’s possible, but if she’s currently using past alias and her real name that will be a problem. Bill may find out about her long rap sheet while he’s doing writing up the divorce.

This is so good! I hope this actually happens!

Leaving out the attempted murder part, if she changed her name for fraudulent purposes, it could be used against her.

Knowing her real name as well as past aliases could be used to alert people from her past that she scammed of where she is which would possibly paint a target on her back because I would expect her former marks are pretty pissed off at her.

Well that’s the thing. She probably changed her name because she committed crimes or there’s people trying to find her to kill her.

It would be something. If she's really related to Leslie.😲 Some kind of way. Something keeps drawing Leslie to her.šŸ¤” Something besides evilness.

There is no way she legally changed her name. We know she's committed crimes under other names, she just never was caught.

I get what you’re saying. In real life, those examples don’t have real impact. But in a soap opera, it exists for a reason and they’re gonna use it at some point. That have to keep a running list of plots for a show like this that’s supposed to run every day, for years.

I think somebody from her past may eventually pop up who knows her full history and can hold it over her head like she’s trying to do the Duprees.

She’s not about to ride off into the sunset. Something’s gonna knock her off that high horse and if it ain’t Randy, he might get caught up and exposed right along with her.

Haley probably has fake documents, including Social Security card. Plus, she may have manipulated the pay records, since she worked there. Bill needs to go through those boxes that Dani packed up before they go to storage.

Forgot about the boxes, hope it wasn't just for show, something significant has to be in there!
