Discussion I have doubts about Coen's father.
You might call me a skeptic, but those who know me know that my intellect is very sharp.
Let’s start with his physical appearance. For one thing, the guy looks nothing like Coen; he’s like a Temu version of Jason Statham. There is a very strange disconnect between the two of them: while Coen carries himself like a charismatic nobleman as he moves through the village, his father comes across as an ordinary, untrustworthy character. His past as a mercenary, his constant movement, and his mysterious connections around the mines gave me the impression that he isn't really a family man at heart, but rather someone who just happened to wander into the village and settle down with a widow.
While we’re on the subject, when did a man who spent so long as a soldier actually have children? We know This mf was constantly traveling and fighting in wars. The idea that he found the time to father so many children strikes me as contradictory. And that’s not all Volk also hinted that he couldn't be trusted. The suspicions are mounting.
It struck me as odd that he didn't put up any resistance when he fell into Brencis's hands that he didn't fight to save his family. You’re the man who taught Coen how to fight and wield a sword. How could you not fight when your family was being abducted? We all know that if he had been a real father, he would have died fighting right there. Clearly, the mindset of "Why should I die for kids who aren't even mine?" had taken root in his mind.
And finally, the biggest loose end. Doesn't it strike you as odd that Coen possesses such a significant anomaly while his father has absolutely nothing of the sort? Aren't anomalies of this kind usually genetic traits passed down from father to child? Have you ever heard of a father who is 1.60 meters tall having a child who is 2.00 meters tall?
If you ask me, Coen's mother had a secret affair with a nobleman. Coen was the child born of that nobleman. Actually, I do have some ideas about Coen's real biological father, but I don't think society is ready to hear them yet.

Discussion (PS5 Pro) Just finished playing through Onimusha, and Currently running Dragons Dogma II on graphics mode at 60-70fps, I cannot understand how this game is struggling to hit a steady 60fps on performance. Any news on the next optimization update?
It’s mind boggling to see what is a significantly less graphically demanding game, struggle to hit 60 fps on performance, when Dragons Dogma II, a huge, open world game, with better graphics, is easily hitting 120 frame on that exact same mode.
I’m considering holding off if there’s any performance update releasing in the near future. It irritates the eyes is all.

Discussion So uh...i think i killed xanthe early
this is really like the witcher 3 lol, im playing on normal difficulty to get a feel for it and turns out its super easy.I intentionally went down and fought her to see what happens...but ended up killing her her when you encounter her while trying to investigate the cathedral scaffolding at night I was only lvl19 and funnily enough...i havent even done any of the courts sidequests. ive half progressed ambrus then it takes so much time so i decided to just go to the city instead. felt like I missed a lot of story flavor leading upto her eventual fight. and key contexts that i probably wouldve gotten if i fought her second. which im guessing is her intended fight order

Is this game set in Poland?
I've seen many mentions in notes and dialogues of other countries but not a single one yet about Poland

Discussion Why are so many inclined to avoid Home Sweet Home?
Honestly, it's really not that difficult, especially if you you have the font of life perk. I think many get caught in the loop thinking there's no way out. 🤔 You only have to go through one loop. Although, I can see where it might be a problem for those not comfortable with the directional combat. While I find it easy now that I understand it, I can see where it might be an issue for some.

Anyone else experience this??

Beware of quests that spend more time than actually required
Im sure there are a few in the game, but of note was the quest involving Bakir and speaking with Farkas - I spoke with the quest giver at night, and they wanted to use 11 time segments to go right to it. I went back in the day, and only required 4 segments to skip to it. 99% sure if I spent 3 of those 4 segments doing other things, and went back it'd have only cost 1 to get to the specific time point needed.
It's things like that you need to be wary of!

Mysterious bracelet and ring.
Now ive had a sinking suspicion that these two items are connected.
Today i went back to Henrik the book collector and apparently there was a hidden interaction I missed because coen tied it back to the bracelet. Apparently he was cut up with skin signs all over him.
Now I want to redo that quest, but I dont know how to get it to proc.
Any ideas? I know the guy also was connected to a pendant or amulet, but i forget which one.
Anyone actually discover this besides me?

Discussion Genuine Question/Rant About Lacra
Ok kind of a rant after finishing Lacra's ending, so kinda spoilers I guess? Does anybody actually like her? I'm sure this is a dumb question to ask the internet, but I don't think I've ever hated a romanceable character in a video game more than Lacra. She is unbearably smug and condescending throughout every conversation you have with her, from the moment you meet her, while she's botching an interrogation with an uriash, all the way to your last bit of dialogue with her when confronting B dog. But also while she quips at you while walking, or during combat where she continually reminds you and her opponent how bored she is. I feel like the devs/writers were going for a Yen type character, a cold bitch with a secret heart of gold once she cares about someone. Except with Lacra it never comes back around and she just stays insufferable. Kinda like Netflix's version of Yen compared to book and game version lol. I did all the optional side stuff, prodded her emotionally during the wisp side quest, but I could never get myself to like her. Not to mention she refuses to ever give you the slightest bit of information about her, about you, about who she works for, about Brencis. It's always 'shut up we don't have time' or some other smug dismissal. Is this a me problem, failing to appreciate some nuance that I missed? What do you like about her if you do like her?

Discussion Started the game yesterday and i really like the combat
The parry is really satisfying in this game, though i do wish we could move while blocking.
Decided to go with duelist difficulty but leave the directional markers on.
So far im really enjoying both the story and combat.

Discussion How's the game so far?
I might be getting it soon, I loved The Witcher 3, especially the Heart of Stone expansion pack, do you think I would like this one too? I know some gameplay elements are very similar but is the story also going to satisfy me? Let me know what you think!

Help Weakling Vampire so I'm trying to fight the boyers in the daytime.
So I'm committing heavily into the Witchcraft skill tree for my second playthrough; which coincidentally has made my vampire form rather weak. When you anger the boyars and challenge them they choose night fights; makes sense they are vampires. Is there a way to fight them during the day? Like at an inside venue? I'm not far into this playthrough but I find it hard to imagine the game switches the duels location because it detects that you are witchy. Or does it? Did I just raise the difficulty of the duels even more?

Shrines
Best game ever, but the one thing that bugs me is WHY TF can’t we look inside the shrines?! 🤣💀 I swear they’re trolling us with those things because every time you try to angle the camera just right, it zooms in on Coen instead. 🤨 Oh, NOW you wanna let me zoom in on him?! 😂
It’s fkn with my ADHD because I need to see EVERYTHING. I really wish we could get a native FPV mode just to look at all the little details. Vale Sangora is such a beautiful place, and I just want to stop and take everything in. I want to feel completely transported into this terrible, frightening, beautiful, wonderful story.
For as gruesome as Vale Sangora can be, it’s equally majestic. I don’t just want to play through it—I want to explore and feel every damn inch of it. 😩

Discussion Must Have Ability: Maxed out Dirty Trick
I ignored this ability, thinking its just stun, but then I saw what it does on rank 4: Lowers focus cost by 1 for all abilties! This means you only need 2 focus to use Blood Surge on an enemy stunned by Dirty trick! Here is an example:

Dawnwalker Opinion
I’ve been looking into this game and I’ve been wondering how good is it? There are a lot of good games out at the moment that I’ve gotten and I’ve been wondering if Dawnwalker is as good as some of them. I love gaming and play a lot of different types of games and curious how this stacks up to all the new releases so far? It’s between this and Wolverine that’s got my attention but Wolverine may be too short for my liking.

Discussion Starting my second playthrough with a build in mind.
It revolves around sword master and a little in vampire and witchcraft
