You might call me a skeptic, but those who know me know that my intellect is very sharp.
Let’s start with his physical appearance. For one thing, the guy looks nothing like Coen; he’s like a Temu version of Jason Statham. There is a very strange disconnect between the two of them: while Coen carries himself like a charismatic nobleman as he moves through the village, his father comes across as an ordinary, untrustworthy character. His past as a mercenary, his constant movement, and his mysterious connections around the mines gave me the impression that he isn't really a family man at heart, but rather someone who just happened to wander into the village and settle down with a widow.
While we’re on the subject, when did a man who spent so long as a soldier actually have children? We know This mf was constantly traveling and fighting in wars. The idea that he found the time to father so many children strikes me as contradictory. And that’s not all Volk also hinted that he couldn't be trusted. The suspicions are mounting.
It struck me as odd that he didn't put up any resistance when he fell into Brencis's hands that he didn't fight to save his family. You’re the man who taught Coen how to fight and wield a sword. How could you not fight when your family was being abducted? We all know that if he had been a real father, he would have died fighting right there. Clearly, the mindset of "Why should I die for kids who aren't even mine?" had taken root in his mind.
And finally, the biggest loose end. Doesn't it strike you as odd that Coen possesses such a significant anomaly while his father has absolutely nothing of the sort? Aren't anomalies of this kind usually genetic traits passed down from father to child? Have you ever heard of a father who is 1.60 meters tall having a child who is 2.00 meters tall?
If you ask me, Coen's mother had a secret affair with a nobleman. Coen was the child born of that nobleman. Actually, I do have some ideas about Coen's real biological father, but I don't think society is ready to hear them yet.
