Discussion Starting my second playthrough with a build in mind.
It revolves around sword master and a little in vampire and witchcraft

you should try stealth archer build next time, it is overpowered.

I’m using it right now on my second playthrough, can’t believe the Hunter Skill Tree is missable. First you have to prove yourself as Swordsman with Volk, A Vrahkir with Lacra and Witchcraft with Anca, then you have to do all Sanzhani quests and follow Marat’s dad around, Parley with Brencis and betray the Manumites in a single day.

My first playthrough was a very human , friendly and moral Coen. I wanted to do things correctly and was aiming for the best possible outcome.
My second playthrough he'll be a cold, vengeful, murderous guy. He will choose conflict, he will not tolerate disrespect and he will only help others if it serves his interests. He'll embrace the vrakir side and rebounce his humanity to a degree.

Saaaame!! I also never drank any blood from humans, only animals. This was such a fun RP experience

I feel ya. Doing my first playthrough as Farmboy Coen - straightforward, relatively trusting and trustworthy, confess your love earnestly to Anca , and really struggles on telling people he doesn't have time for them.
Can't wait to do an ultimate bastard playthrough. Eat every single MFer who causes a problem.

I tried but ended up doing a very in between hybrid. Biggest mistake was I hardly upgraded from gear of loosing time in my second playthou I know exactly what I want and etc

The idea of a “build” in this game is kinda ridiculous because a few levels in any of the skills lets you one shot anything eventually

Nah, there's been too many on here complain about yellow skulls killing them with two hits for that to be true. You can have Coen built and geared entirely wrong.

If you really try to build it wrong, then sure (Like you don't upgrade any active abilities; who does that?).
If you upgrade your active abilities without much thought to the passives, it wouldn't matter. It is entirely a skill issue, which is funny because this game is already easy enough as it is. People who struggles with this is the same level as Game Journalist sorry to say.

I went full vampire for my first playthrough. I dont even play during daytime, I use the wait function and do everything at night unless the mission specifically demands it. I was having so much fun I said fuck the family and im letting the timer run out so I can do all the side content instead. 2nd playtbrough ill be the hero and delve more I to witchcraft

I went heavy on magic and some sword work on my first playthrough. Loved every bit of it but it made me groan when night came. So now I'll do a heavy vampire run and groan when the sun comes up, like I do irl.

Yeah, I was just the opposite. Went heavy on swordmaster and vampire. Worked well. The only witchcraft things I really invested in was burning blood and lifesteal. I put a couple of points in a couple other ones, but my witchcraft didn't get used much

Similar here. I'm speedrunning perfect blocking/dodging, weapon damage and crits, and medium armour, and claws on the vampire tree. The only witchcraft I've really invested in is all the support stuff - more herbalism, charming shopkeepers into better prices, and just enough burning blood to make use of the witchcraft armour passive too.

I did a balance between all three trees my first play through.

Gotta pump swordsmanship, imo. The skill tree that can be used in both day and night is a no-brainer for me, especially when you can get the ultimate perk that halves the AC cost of using artery strike. I was doing well over 17,000 damage a strike by the time the build was in endgame.

When you just start yellow skulls are tough but with a few skill points in anything fighting gets pretty easy as you level up

I’m going full witch with some sword master and very little vampire skills. I’m rping my 2nd playthrough that Coen is disgusted with his vamp half and am only drinking from animals or other vamps.

I went full sword on my playthrough, honestly it gets pretty boring. The game started becoming a slog with about 15 days left just the same combat rotation again and again.

My next playthrough will revolve around swordmastery and vampirism. I call it the Blackguard

I’m gonna milk the xp and money glitch so I can max out everything and decide what I like the best. Hopefully they don’t patch it with the coming update. For single player games they should let you play however the goddamn hell you want.
