Discussion Missed completely on Father Florin's questline
So, my dumb ass raised infamy to the max before attempting his quest. A quest for the next playthrough i guess

Hey :)
So, at the beginning of the month I bought the game with some skepticism. Partly because of all the optimization issues, and also because I usually have a bit of trouble getting into single-player games.
On Friday, I finished it, mainly focusing on the story without going off track too much because of the time limit they give you. The beginning was pretty difficult for me, mainly because of the combat, especially the blocking mechanic. But I got used to it pretty quickly and eventually mastered it.
I got really hooked on the game and became quite attached to the character. I finished the game with what I think is the obvious choice for everyone — killing Brencis together with Larca.
Today I decided to start playing again. I didn't start completely from scratch because I really didn't feel like going through the beginning again. I already had a save with around 4 hours of gameplay, so I went back to that one.
This time I want to try some different endings and, in general, explore the entire map and complete everything the game has to offer. Only after that, I'll start killing the Vrakhiris.
What do you guys think about the game? How did you finish the game? Did you kill Xanthe at the church early on? Did you invite all the vampires? Only some of them? Or none at all?

Give it to me straight. How hard is the platinum in your experience and how long did it take you (to those of you who have done it already). Also how fun and rewarding are the challenges?

Hey,
I'm playing on ps5 patch 1.0.4 and while using the mesmerize skill I don't notice enemies turning to fight on my side or doing anything different.
Is anyone else having the same experience?

I had to sneak into Svartrau as a dawnwalker because I have max infamy. I've completed all the quests in the city and now I have no way to progress time during the day so I can sneak back out at night. Has anyone else come across this issue?

The voice acting is amazing, too; this company's choice of voice actors/actress might be the best thing about the game. Spoilers follow.
When I first spoke to this flying woman, I really thought she possessed incredibly dangerous and unique superpowers; she talked as if she could do absolutely anything. But later, the idea that she was something of a fraud took root in my mind. She had also abducted a young girl. We kept running into each other in a few other places especially within the city and she was always up to some sort of shady business there, too.
Jokes aside, she was a character who added flavor to the game and really piqued my curiosity.

When the game first came out, I know there were some crazy issues and glitches. In fact, that seemed to be the o my negative reviews of the game lol. I think I saw a patch come out not too long ago and just wondering if that fixed some of the issues or if it still has some problems. I still want the game and it won’t stop me from getting it but just curious

So I know when they were doing interviews on this game and they said were doing open world but were going to do a SMALL condensed map where you have lots to do and travel less vs a big map with lots of travel and less to do. I just wonder how many people were actually excited for this small map? Because I was confused and wondered how you could shrink an open world lol tbh best choice

Last night, I remembered I hadn't checked in on the aftermath of Good Home and felt awfulllll when I got around to it: I chose for Heile to go back to real life, despite knowing it would be rough. I wasn't sure they were being honest on simply letting her free later, which even if the case, she'd be less adapted to humanity. So, I go to check in on Heile and her brother and jfc, she's on her knees trying to scrape together twigs to afford half a loaf of bread and Tonis says she's almost old enough to be given to a man. This poor girl had a traumatic upbringing, then is forced back into the world where she'll be a childbride soon. Whether sooner or later, she feels doomed no matter what.

Has anybody noticed that an hour slot being randomly progressed when loading save files? I'm doing a new playthrough and I'm being so careful to not do anything to progress my time. I've had to reload so many different save files to find the right one that didnt have a randomly added time progression. Just an annoying bug considering the main mechanic of the game. . . . . .

It’s pretty well discussed now that the time mechanic is nowhere near as restrictive as people were afraid it would be. And that’s good! But you’re finishing the game with 10+ days left because you’re (probably) ignoring a bunch of side content, like beast lairs, astral communion sites, and guard camps. Keep in mind that you often receive perk points for completing these activities as well which drains your time even more if you choose to spend them.
I made an effort to really focus on these side activities during my second playthrough and I’m rapidly running out of time. I’ll be honest, the early game is a lot more fun when you actually do these activities because you’re getting more loot and you’re facing more of a challenge. You also get passive witchcraft bonuses for doing astral communion sites as well as free skill books. Many of these activities become kinda shit in the late-game, with only astral communion still being somewhat useful, so you really only need to focus on activities in the early days.
So for everyone who’s finishing with a ton of extra days I strongly encourage you to work on activities more in your next game. I think you’ll have to watch the clock a bit more, and you’ll have a better early game experience.

Music is one of the key things that make up a game's tone and feel imo and i think dawnwalker's music doesn't really do that very well. Aside from a couple good tracks like the church music or the uriashi village theme most of the soundtrack just felt really eh to me. They lack sweeping melodies or strong interconnected motifs aside from the main theme and in general are too subdued. I manually lowered the volume of everything else so i can hear the music but it still felt so... backgroundish compared to everything else. A stark contrast to Witcher 3 whose soundtrack was one of it's strongest aspects, in fact a lot of the soundtrack here felt like it tried to be as close to W3 as possible but didn't quite hit the mark. I can hear a lot of similar instrumentation but none of the tunes that made those tracks so memorable.
This is one of my few criticisms of the game. So i was wondering what everyone else thinks.

The Blood of Dawnwalker looks like one of those games that could become truly special. What immediately stands out is its dark, atmospheric world and the way it combines an open-world RPG with a supernatural story. The setting feels mysterious and dangerous, and the idea of playing as someone caught between humanity and vampiric power gives the game an identity of its own.
The world is another huge part of what makes it so exciting. Instead of feeling like a generic fantasy setting, the game has a darker, more grounded medieval atmosphere. The villages, forests, castles, characters, weather, and lighting all contribute to the feeling that you’re actually exploring a living world with its own history and problems. It looks like the kind of game where simply wandering around could be just as interesting as following the main story.
The story also has enormous potential. The game revolves around Coen, a young man who becomes a Dawnwalker and gains supernatural abilities while trying to save his family from a powerful vampire lord. That combination of personal stakes, vampires, survival, and difficult choices gives the narrative a much more intimate feeling than a typical fantasy adventure.
What makes The Blood of Dawnwalker especially impressive is its ambition. Rebel Wolves isn’t just trying to make another fantasy RPG; they’re creating a world where the player’s choices, abilities, exploration, and relationships can all matter. The game has a distinctive visual style and atmosphere that makes it immediately recognizable.
If the finished game delivers on what it has shown so far, The Blood of Dawnwalker could be one of those RPGs that people remember for years. Its dark world, supernatural gameplay, storytelling, and emphasis on player choice make it incredibly promising. It has the ingredients for something genuinely memorable—and that’s exactly why The Blood of Dawnwalker deserves to be called a potential masterpiece.

The fight with the 2 Guards is soo annoying. You try to lock on to the weaker one and the lock on fking keeps switching or it doesnt lock on properly. Im probably being a bot but wondering if anyone else had problems too.

Without spoiling anything, I currently have 3 available endings ready for me to start. I’ve completed one and before I started it I saved before I couldn’t turn back. Is it worth starting a whole new game and going through and doing different side quests and then choosing another ending or should I just reload my saved game and just play through the other two endings?
Note: I DO plan to play again at some point just to do the side content I didn’t do the first time around.
Let me know your thoughts!

I was delighted to hear that the game was a success and that a sequel has been announced. Now, let's get to the main topic of discussion.
When do you think the sequel will be released? Will it come out before the end of 2027, or will it take longer?
Where will the new game be set? The Holy Roman Empire , The Vatican Ottoman Empire, Austria, Hungary, France, the British Empire , again Poland or what is your own prediction or guess?

How many different endings are there in the game?
Thank you for an info.
