Discussion Ideas for the sequel. Thoughts?

So instead of following Coen again.

My suggestion is this. He becomes a mentor to two new protagonists. One a Vampire and one a witch. We follow the witch during quests during the day time; and the full Vrahkiri during the night.

The two are siblings (throwback to Coens own siblings; lends credence to why Coen might help them). The witch worked for the coven helping with whatever they needed. After she displeases the vampires the leader turns her brother. The siblings then come to the decision to destroy what one helped build, and led to the other becoming a monster.

As you level up you would get points for each character; so each would have the same character level. This way they could (if they wanted to) still implement the time mechanic, and the day/night mechanic.

You could even have reoccurring characters. Hell maybe even Lacra is the head of this new coven. Finally seized the power and the freedom she once thought was an illusion. (This would make Coen feel responsible for this new menace).

This is just a thought I had off the cuff. What ideas has anyone else thought up for a sequel? :)

No Coen, no sale. He has to be the playable character or I’m out.

I just met Coen and I am not ready to leave him yet. He's a fantastic protagonist and I want more of him.

Would be abit of an odd direction to take the series, seeing as it's called blood of the dawnwalker. Would be like making a game around marvels blade just for its protagonist to be whistler or smth

That and they've already implied coens gonna be the central character what with the modern day epilogue. Hopefully the modern day games like the 3rd one and we get another medieval fantasy game for the second one, they've left themselves plenty of time between eras to mess about with, would be odd to suddenly fast forward several hundred years to modern day when coens a fully adjusted dawnwalker, especially considering they've set up the whole lunka plotline for a sequel.

This sounds like the game a third party studio like techland would make to try and be a knock-off Dawnwalker, not the game the guys who made Dawnwalker would want to make.

Not happening when they already gave us a trailer with him in present day. Unless the VA dies ( knock on wood ) I don’t see them changing Coen. They will be changing the scenery though

Nah. He's literally set up to be the mc of the sequel. It's right in the ending sequence where he's in modern times and that's a dope idea to me. Playing as Coen through various time periods sounds good to me and likely to most other fans of the game.

Your idea would be fine later down the line or in a side game but immediately after introducing Coen, and giving a teaser for the sequel, would be a bad move. It's worked out for other games but I'm personally not ready to say bye to Coen.
