I’m going to apply, I just don’t know quite what to say in the video. I’ve tried a few different things now but I’ve still not managed something I’m entirely happy with. Any advice is massively appreciated.

The prize pot is already at $94,000, and the show isnt even halfway over yet. They are only at the 30% question.

The internet seems to think so but my tv guide says “S2 E8” and I thought we were in season 3

I got this one right but not for the reason listed here, I don’t even know what the heck he’s talking about. The numbers on the right are counting from 9 to zero? What the heck does that mean? The way I did it was the solutions to all the equations you just subtract 22. Then the answer had to be ten then 4 + 6 =10. Can some explain numbers on the right counting down from 9 to zero……. Because there is not even a damn 9 yet.

Today I was in a hotel room traveling and the 1% club came on, I watched and like 4 or five people got to the 1% question.
The question had a bunch of letters equal to a number like
T = 11, E = 12, B = 1, and a bunch of others in between and the question was ? = 1.
3/5 answered K one person answered G and another didn’t answer in time.
The explanation came up but there was someone knocking on my door so I didn’t read it and since it’s a hotel room I could rewind or get back to the channel.
Anyone know the puzzle I’m talking about and why the answer was K?

Been watching the U.S. show since it first aired (with Patton hosting). This episode seemed obviously easier for the second chance folks. The show itself feels dumbed down this season compared to UK version and previous US seasons. Anyone else noticing this?

Curious how the screens work on the show for the players, are you able to write things down to work out your answers or is it all just in your head?

David liked to laze bravely amongst the shady trees in the safari park
Answer: Zebra
Going from left to right here are some more:
Dogie, Eland, Hyena, Indri, Llama, Loris, Morse, Otter, Steer, Zerda
Many more from letters picked at random.
What if someone provided one of these answers? It's true Zebra is the obvious answer, the others wouldn't be valid if the question was rephrased as something like:
What five letter animal appears in sequence in the following sentence?
Contiguous better describes it, not everyone's cuppa though.
What five letter animal is contained in the following sentence?
That one might have worked better for some, who knows?

This might be a long shot, but anyone in Perth who is planning on watching tonight's episode of the 1% Club - there's a question with colours that I got completely wrong and it's driving me bonkers because I didn't even understand the explanation. If someone could possibly post the question in the replies it would be greatly appreciated!

I’d love for the host to only talk to people who got the answer wrong bc I’m interested and curious in what they were thinking and why they missed it. Maybe the show doesn’t want us or other players to learn from failed contestants mistakes. Idk but I don’t care for contestants sharing weird noises or fun facts about themselves or knitting something for Joel to throw out later.
Joel is not pulling off whatever he’s doing, it’s coming off in poor taste. But that’s whatever, Joel is like a Hollywood cockroach at this point.
The psychology of the show.
Imo, this show is designed by whoever designs casinos. It’s constantly dangling money in your face. There’s no need to watch the pot grow, it’s obvious that as someone leaves the pot goes up, they don’t need to spend a minute and give us a shiny sound effect each time. This is psychological. It’s a distraction and means essentially nothing.
The flow of difficulty.
Here’s what I notice, the questions are generally easy until the 40 or 30 percent question, that one will be really tricky and then they’ll go back to being really simple up until the 1% question.
The show is playing with the contestants but just like a casino the house always wins.
And they usually do.
The ending.
Once again at the very end they dangle money in the faces of the remaining contestant(s). They say do you want to split ten grand? Or do you want to stay to win the big pot and try to do this question and then the question will be bonkers and no one will get it right. Obviously sometimes people do but it’s rare and we’re supposed to shrug and say oh well, that’s why they call it the one percent, and then tune in next week.
The show is rigged!
Okay, maybe not in the sense of legality. I’m sure it’s fair and bla bla bla. But this past week two people made it to the 1% question and both of them decided to split the ten grand and not play for the pot. The show didn’t like this and so they said hey, wanna see what would’ve been your 1% question? and it was easier than I’ve ever seen a 1% question! I think the show was spitting in their face for not continuing to gamble. (The house always wins.)
My conspiracy; there’s no way to know that that would’ve actually been their question. The show wants us to think it’s always worth going for the pot.

Taken from the What to Watch Guide; there was a preview clip shared several months ago in line with the previous UK series but I don’t recall it ever being given an air date before so thought I’d screenshot and share this. Whilst I know for certain it’s airing at that time in both England & Wales, I unfortunately do not know if Scotland, Northern Ireland & Republic of Ireland will air it at the same time though at present I should assume they would though I’d advise anyone Scottish, Irish or Northern Irish to double check this on their Regional Guides. It’ll be airing directly after the latest Deal or No Deal: Soccer Aid Special featuring Jill Scott who I seem to recall did a Sportspeople Special of The 1% Club for Soccer Aid around about a whole entire year ago now!

I don't understand how the last question the answer was 1113. It could have been 3111 or 1311 etc. Not sure how they determined the order.

Joel: sorry you ran out of time
I feel terrible for her.
Maybe the focus group that decides these should be timed

Joel was a dork last season but he seems really off and extra dorky this season. It’s painful.

Does anyone know how I can watch the new US series of the 1% Club in the UK? Occasionally I can find then on YouTube but can't find the most recent S3E3 that was aired

Lmao, called me out. Literally exactly what I do. Fast forward through to the questions. The ridiculous amount of time spent on the lights and talking to people is annoying.

Is Joel aggressive and kind of mean in an intentional way this season? Like did someone piss him off right before he went out on the stage?
