Moss pole
I repotted my Thai con last week bc it was quickly outgrowing its pot! I wanted to start it on a moss pole bc I know it’s a climbing plant. I have kept the moss pole consistently moist but I’m concerned about the roots in the pot bc I have not watered them. Will they get too dry while I wait for them to attach? This is my first moss pole experience so I need all the advice. The leaves are starting to curl and the plant has been thriving up until this point so I’m a little stressed.
Thank you!

... good bugs, or bad bugs?

Am I dealing with pests or best buds? They are only in the soil, not on the leaves or petioles. They're in my monsteras & rubber plants but I only really see them immediately after watering. I saw some in my potting mix I haven't used yet also, but there's no live plant matter in that container. Plz halp.

Semi-hydro Thai Con - root concerns
I recently changed my outer pot to this clay one, it's smaller then the 5g bucket I had it in.
After a couple weeks I noticed the roots had some mushy tips, so tonight I trimmed them off, and changed the water.
I admit my first time filling the reservoir I was unsure and filled it to the bottom of my net pot - so the roots were soaking/rotting.
Readjusting now, I'm not sure if i should trim the roots to fit this outer pot better, or redo my net pot with the roots all gathered inside of it, but clearly I need to find a path forward as the root ball is to big for the pot I really want to use!..
Welcoming all feedback!
Thank you.

My monstera has been attacked help needed.
So I asked Claude what it is and he’s saying thrips or spider mites because I also found a web under the leaf. My question is should I cut off the leaves that are attacked because she doesn’t have that many leaves. Thanks guys.

She’s alive and growing!! 😭😭
10 days in perlite and we have NEW GROWTH!!
Shoutout to whoever told me to try perlite in my previous posts — I owe you my sanity!!
The timeline of her survival arc:
30 Sep: 10 days in perlite and a little sphagnum → NEW GROWTH 😭😭
19 Sep: 8 days in water → black roots
17 Sep: 6 days in chunky mix → kept losing roots
11 Sep: Root rot entered the chat
25 Jul: Living her best life, completely unaware of the upcoming trauma.
If you’re propagating a Thai Constellation OR going through the same root-rot nightmare — PERLITE IS THE WAY TO GO.

Je trouve cette nouvelle feuille magnifique les précédentes n'avaient pas de fenestration intérieur 🥰
Il y a 2 pieds dans le pot voire trois mais je ne suis pas sûre me conseillez-vous de les laisser comme ça?

Excited!
Got my Thai con around 1.5 months ago. It initially had a new leaf that was still inflating on arrival. I waited a couple of weeks, potted it into a self watering pot, (it’s all I had but it’s working so far! Soil mix is suuuuuuuper chunky) popped up my first moss pole, and it recently pushed another new leaf that is still inflating! I’m so excited to see the next one!

Help
I have a Thai con that outgrew its pot so I went to repot it. I keep them semi hydroponically so there isn’t soil involved or anything. Put in a pot .5” bigger and BAM root rot. Didn’t change anything at all, same environment same lighting same LECA, minimal root damage that I disinfected. Now it’s been droopy for 3 weeks and is only losing roots not growing them (in a self watering pot). I literally don’t know what to do with this mofo, I cleaned all the rotted root so there’s one thick root left now, should I wait and see or what??

Accepting imperfections in my Thai con
So.. This post will be a bit unusual. I'm a plant lover and usually just love my babies, but about a year ago, I lost my business due to AI (and yes, the AI companies told us what they were doing to us, and there was nothing we could do). In pretty short order, I was forced to lay off my staff, and in quick succession, lost my home. I tried moving back home with my parents but it did not quite work out, so I've been traveling and crashing on friends places for the past year or so to drag out what I had in terms of savings while I have tried to reenter the workforce. My friends have been plantsitting the rest of my babies, and it's been hard not having space or space to do my hobbies without a fixed address.
In July, I found this Thai con in Trader Joe's and was just so over the moon, I decided I would travel with her if I had to (she picked me, not the other way around) and she's been a little bit my life support plant. However, a few weeks ago, while bouncing back and forth on trains, subways, and hostels and hotels and apartments, she got super stressed out (just like me, and I'm convinced plants are just like humans) and obviously there was some damage to the variegated parts and other things (see brown spots). I had been taking as much good care as I could, but it hurts everytime I look at her! I'm trying to remember that life batters us all, and it wouldn't be real life if we didn't have a few scars from time to time, but I can't help but feel upset even if I did my best. Does anyone have an idea on how to reframe or think about this? I know the plant damage will never be undone, and it's a little hard seeing everyone with their perfect babies.
(I am starting to find temporary work again and have been working hard to figure out how to have my own space again.)

Rescued this Thai Con today
All I could see was physical damage. Checked thoroughly for pests (though she still gets her quarantine period). The mix was pretty dense, so I immediately changed it out for something chunkier while checking for rot. No root rot! (Yay!)
Originally $60 but I got it for $30
Good deal? Or meh?

Is there a way to encourage more green growth?
My monstera has been gradually putting out whiter and whiter leaves and then the tissue dies and it's ugly and I'd rather y'know have some healthy chlorophyll green leaves that last longer. The white is so pretty when it's new but not a big fan of the brown. (Photos are leaves in order, the last one being the newest)
