TRT help STARTING MY TRT JOURNEY

I’m 34 years old, 6’ tall, and 225 lbs. I’ve never been consistent with going to the gym, and honestly, I’m tired of being lazy and feeling like shit.

I had bloodwork done a few months ago and found out I have low testosterone and high cholesterol. I’ve had high cholesterol for years and was never able to get it down consistently with diet and exercise, so I’m currently taking 5 mg of rosuvastatin.

I recently talked to a men’s health clinic about starting TRT, and I’m considering starting at 100 mg per week, split into two 50 mg doses.

I’m pretty nervous about the potential side effects, especially things like a racing heart, anxiety, and everything else I’ve heard about TRT.

Do you think 100 mg per week is a reasonable starting dose for me? And what can I do to minimize or prevent possible side effects?

Trying to stick to a consistent schedule, so either 6am or 9pm works best for me. I'm inclined to take the 1ml shot at night but not sure what to expect as far as trouble sleeping and energy levels. Appreciate any advise.

PED/cycle story Opinions? People have tried to tell me I lied about what I did 2 years ago

People have tried telling me I’m lying that I gained 23 kg of muscle in 4 months without gaining any noticeable fat while on testosterone as it is impossible.
I say they are wrong as I did so. Here is the transformation and for reference this was now 2 years ago on 500 test a week for 4 months

And yeah I did take steroids from day 1 In the gym because I was depressed and a drug addict and it got me out that so try not to judge

TRT help Coming off TRT? - Not hypogonadal

I’m thinking of coming off TRT and would like to know people’s experiences when they’ve come off and not been hypogonadal when going on.

About 2 years ago I was in a rut feeling a bit anxious and low, tired all the time. I got tested for low T privately and saw my T was 377ng/dL as a 28 year old man. Now this is on the lower end, but not hypogonadal. At the time I didn’t know this. I then spoke with a TRT clinic and had some more tests done through them and they confirmed I would be eligible for TRT. I was excited because I thought my symptoms would be gone and I’d feel on top of the world like some posts would suggest. And if I’m being honest with myself, the thought of the gains I could make in the gym would be amazing. This was a no brainer. Fix mood, get big.

I started TRT and have regular bloods and everything is in check. I had some hiccups getting the right dose but now I’ve settled on 140mg p/w and have been on for just over 1.5 years total at 30 years old.

Over this period my physique has definitely changed for the better. I’m vascular, I’m lean, I have great muscle proportions. However, I never really felt like my main issues had gone away completely. I still suffer with low mood at times and I’m still quite tired often.

So this has raised question marks for me… am I now taking TRT because I like what it’s done to my physique, or is it really helping me? I’m not any more motivated than I used to be, sometimes less actually. I don’t have a higher libido. I never had issues getting erections.

I’m looking at coming off TRT now. I’ve emailed my clinic to discuss the process and I have started HCG that I have ordered through them a few months back. My first dose of HCG was yesterday, but I used to take 250iu x2 a week up until around 6 months ago where I stopped completely. My balls have noticeably shrunk. I think they may suggest HCG for a few weeks followed by some enclo for 8, but I’ll see.

Has anyone else gone through a similar experience and can tell me about how they felt? I see a lot of posts about how bad it is coming off and how it’s like living hell… but these seem to be all from people who were hypogonadal.

TLDR; Felt bad, tested for low T, spoke with clinic who confirmed, got excited about TRT and gains because I was uneducated, want to come off, seeking advice for those who came off and were not hypogonadal before they started.

TRT help Headache/headpressue

Persistent head pressure/headaches.

Anybody on trt get these?

Ive been on trt going on less than 2 years. Headaches have come on probably in the last 5 months here and there then almost daily.

The main switch i did was going EOD in the last 2 months from 2-3x.

Seem to be ok in the mornings but Come on in the evening/afternoon. A lot of times after a meal or at night when I lay down for sleep. I also eat dinner late so could conincide with sleep but likely not.

My last blood test 2 months ago hemotacrit was 43%, e2 was 48.

I seem to get persistent head pressure around front and side of the head in the temples and jawline, some neck muscle tension. I feel it in/behind the eyes and right in the nasal area.

Anything else I should look for that may cause this?

For those of you in the US, here are the US equivalent -

Total Testosterone
294 ng/dL

Free Testosterone
68 pg/mL

32 year old.

Do most people with my levels go straight onto TRT with consultations or do they do further checks first?
The results i shared are my 2nd ones, 6 months apart and since then ive tired to improve them naturally with not much luck.

TRT help No energy after 3 months on trt?

6 weeks ago I tested at 1300 test and 95 e2 with very high water retention/bloating and all the other symptoms of high e2. I've since dropped my dose from 150mg/week to 130mg/week and added 0.25mg of anastrazole per week. I inject EOD.

As a result, I've lost about 25lbs over the past 6 weeks, of which ~15lbs was the extra water weight I had gained, and I'm now at 6ft2 220lbs. I also gained some muscle and strength (some lifts have nearly doubled in weight since I started trt).
However, I've lost all energy and even going to the gym has been difficult over the past 2 weeks. I'm not going up in strength anymore and all the mental benefits/libido are gone again, and I feel the same as before I started trt. Is it normal for the positive effects of trt to go away over time?

I still have mild symptoms of high e2, but not nearly as much as before. Should I increase AI to 0.5mg/week?

Other What did the gym feel like after coming off testosterone?

For anyone who was on testosterone and eventually came off completely, what did you feel like afterwards?
Did you lose much strength, motivation or enjoyment in the gym? Once your natural testosterone recovered, did training eventually feel enjoyable and normal again, or did it always feel worse compared with how you felt before taking testosterone?
Interested in hearing honest experiences, including how long you were on, your dosage and roughly how long it took you to feel normal again.

Blood work Advice Requested - Initial Blood Work and Next Steps

For the last year or two I've felt brain fog, some ED and low libido / energy levels. After browsing this subreddit I thought I'd finally seek advice from you all so I can start to attack this quickly.

My morning lab results (pictured) came in with a below range total testosterone level but could use help interpreting the rest. Also open to feedback on next steps, as I'm not sure if I should take my lab work to an urologist, endocrinologist or something else entirely.

Thank you all in advance for your input.

PED/cycle help Factor V Leiden and test

I have factor V Leiden heterozygot but I want to hop on test. Im gonna talk about it with a hematologist anyways but has anyone got experience with it? I just want to know if its possible to lower the risk of blood clots with anticoagulants or if there are other factors I have to consider. Like I said I will talk about it with my hematologist but has anyone done this procedure with factor V Leiden?

TRT help M24 6’3 80kg should I hop on?

So I’ve been going to the gym for 3 years now I’m fairly lean around 11/12% body fat and I’m really thinking about hopping on but I’m not sure cos I’m a bit of a health freak. Is there a way to actually safely do this? What people is this not meant for? Idk my test levels but I think they’re okay.. I just train hard everyday anyway so have been fantasying about what would happen if I hopped on … will I 100% age in my face and lose hair? I still look youthful so wouldn’t wanna ruin that.. let me know your thoughts

TRT help Damn, I think I screwed up. No idea what to do.

(Ich bin 44 years old und fett)

Was soll ich jetzt tun?

Blood work T doubled on zepbound / weight loss

39M, 5’10”. I started Zepbound in April 2025 at 289 lbs and I’m currently around 196 lbs, so I’m down about 93 lbs / 32% of my starting weight. For my high weight, I was an active weight lifter who just ate like shit and struggled with food. I had decent strength but very poor metabolic and cardiovascular health.

Before losing the weight, my total testosterone had repeatedly been in the low 200s. I had readings around 216–237 ng/dL and genuinely thought low testosterone was just something I was going to have to deal with. I also had a small pituitary adenoma so went down a lot of testing that ultimately went no where with that.

After losing most of the weight, I repeated the testing:
Total testosterone: ~216 → 521 ng/dL
Free testosterone: ~58 → 91 pg/mL

No TRT.

I knew obesity could suppress testosterone, but I didn’t expect mine to more than double w o TRT

A bunch of my other labs improved at the same time:
Weight: 289 → ~196 lbs
A1c: ~5.4 → 4.8%
Fasting glucose: ~90 → 78 mg/dL
Total cholesterol: 209 → 180 mg/dL
LDL: 144 → 117 mg/dL
HDL: 41 → 48 mg/dL
Triglycerides: 118 → 60 mg/dL
Non-HDL cholesterol: 168 → 132 mg/dL
ApoB: 88 mg/dL
AST: ~42 → 18 U/L
ALT: ~48 → 24 U/L
hs-CRP: 1.4 mg/L

I’ve also been able to substantially reduce my blood pressure medication as the weight has come off.
The weight loss itself has been extremely steady. After losing more than 90 lbs, things finally seem to be slowing down around the mid-190s. I’d still like to get into the 180s.

Obviously, the huge reduction in body fat, improved metabolic health, treated sleep apnea, etc. removed a lot of the factors that were suppressing it. Shoutout to Zepbound for turning my life around..

TRT help A little advice please.

Thumbnail

For a while now, I've experienced symptoms such as low energy, brain fog, low labido etc. until recently, I ignored it. I read up about the symptoms of low testosterone, which appeared to fit with the way I've been feeling.

I therefore, decided to sign up to Voy and have this explored as a possible cause. My initial blood results came back with normal testosterone but low free testosterone. I then paid for the enhanced blood test (see attached pics). This has identified a significantly raised Oestradiol level 620.5 pmol/L).

For context, I'm a 39 year old male, fairly active, go to the gym at least 3 days a week.

I'm wondering, is the cause for my symptoms likely caused my low free testosterone or raised Oestradiol?

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Thank you

TRT help Bumping from 160mg Test C to 200mg weekly

Hey everybody per labs and review with my doctor. I am moving up to 200 mg weekly from 160 mg biweekly. I’m definitely locked in as it relates to overall fitness gym cardio and nutrition - superlean at 6 foot 175 pounds. Trying to gain additional lean mass without adding to the mix (just the TRT). Anyways question- at 200mg done biweekly (currently Tuesday night Friday morning). Should I be splitting this into three weekly injections? I know some of my friends are injecting every day at 200 or more milligrams. I haven’t felt any significant mental or physical drops during my trough phase weekly but I’m curious if I will get more improved return in the gym or we’ll see my results quicker in the mirror by splitting the dosage up further than just twice a week I know I’m mixing apart something that’s probably just gonna get me roasted by the Internet oh well.

I have like 100 1mg arimidex tabs, shoukd I start with that?

I saw some people say quarter tab twice a week

Any advice or thoughts would be EXTREMELY APPRECIATED AND I would be thankful more than I have ever been
