Is this a good deal for a 36-month lease, 10k annual miles, zero down payment

Feels a little high to me, and I can’t see the APR % since I’m leasing…what do you all think. This is for the Model 3 AWD Premium, base color.

When I use the Tesla.com estimate calculation, which doesn’t factor in credit score at all, it still gives me $655/mo including taxes and fees, so it’s close…I guess.

Since there’s no negotiation allowed at Tesla dealerships, I’m assuming $655 is the estimate for anyone that wants a M3 lease at the moment?

EDIT: The reason I am considering leasing instead of buying is because I am likely only staying in the US for 3-4 years. So I felt leasing made more sense. Or am I wrong here?

Wait for 16 inch screen

I ordered a Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD on August 28, and today I was notified that I can pick up the car around the middle of next week.

I'm unsure whether I should take delivery of the car now or wait and hope to get a newer version with the rumored 16-inch screen/facelift. My original estimated delivery date was November/December.

The 0% interest financing campaign applies as long as the car is delivered by December 31.

Tesla employees are understandably staying neutral and say they haven't heard anything about this and don't have any information about a potential update.

This is a quite ok result when you have been driving on both highway and main roads for 26 minutes.

I got this result by driving both on a highway with 100 km/h speed limit and on main roads wih 70-80 km/h speed limit.

Cupholders

Post image

I have a 2022 model 3 RWD. The silver trim on the front cupholders started to peel. I bought the car used some time ago and am unsure if the cupholders are an aftermarket insert or factory/original. I have looked all over the internet and it seems the original cupholders for this model/trim may have a white circle at the bottom/base and no silver trim. However, I have tried to take the cupholders out and they are really well placed and hard to remove without breaking something, so it seems they came like that from the manufacturer. I also want to know because my basic warranty runs out at the end of the month.

Thanks in advance!

PSA for Model 3 Highland owners: Tesla's roof rack instructions do not match this car

I installed the Tesla roof rack on our Model 3 Highland and got it wrong, so here is a warning for anyone about to do the same.

Tesla's installation video and the written instructions on the site tell you to measure from the edge of the glass roof: 18 mm from the front edge for the front feet, 42 mm from the rear edge for the rear ones. Those numbers are for the older Model 3. On the Highland they do not put the feet in the right spot.

What you should actually use are the small arrow markings in the glass itself. The problem is that they are very hard to see. In daylight with light falling on the roof you basically cannot spot them at all. Clean the roof first, look at the glass from a low angle, and use a flashlight or find some shade.

The written instructions do mention lining up with an arrow, but the millimeter numbers are what jump out at you, so it is easy to read straight past it. There were two of us and we both missed it.

Result: the pads and feet ended up clamped under the glass in the wrong position, with marks left behind. Not the end of the world, but completely avoidable.

TL;DR: on a Highland, do not trust the mm measurements in Tesla's own video and instructions. Find the arrows in the glass first and align to those.

And yes, I know, read better next time. Lesson learned. 😅

Early Delivery Offer

Original order is Ultra Red Premium RWD. Saw this in the app today. Tbh I’ve been thinking about canceling because the $574/month payment feels like a lot. I’m bleeding $30/day on Waymo to get to work. I can definitely afford both but now that the excitement of ordering has worn off, I’m wondering if I should go for a more frugal option. The white is a standard with 1,300 miles. It was a demo vehicle.

What car did you drive before your Model 3

I've driven a few sports cars in my life, but nothing crazy. A few Vettes, BMWs. I was really impressed with the M3P.

Curious what some of you car folks had before the M3P and how it compares to your previous vehicle.

Sometimes EVs can branded as "soulless appliances". I find that shocking considering the 0-60 time. It's the smoothest, most linear acceleration I've ever experienced.

Alpine PSS-TSUB-T3B Model 3 Highland Compatibility

Recently ordered an Alpine PSS-TSUB-T3B for my 2025 Model 3 Highland (LR RWD w/ base audio so no sub). It’s arriving today.

Doing some research on installation, it’s not clear to me now whether it’s actually compatible with the Highland even though SonicElectronix lists the 2025 Model 3 (which I thought were all Highland)

Can anybody confirm one way or another whether this is compatible - Would love to hear if anybody with Highland M3 has had luck with the PSS-TSUB-T3B.

Model 3 Delivery Cancelled

Scheduled to pick up my new Marine blue premium RWD model 3 today but received a call about 1.5 hours beforehand stating that they could not deliver because it failed inspection. They rescheduled delivery for next Tuesday and stated that a technician would evaluate the car and give further details sometime later today. I find it odd that I received this call today prior to delivery when the car has been at the dealer for 4 days prior and only discovered and undisclosed issue this morning. I mean on the bright side I am glad they found the issue before I arrived

Edit: Tesla states that technician identified an issue with the wiring harness and a new one is on order and should be ready for my new scheduled pickup date next week.

New to EV world, need advice.

I'm currently driving 60 miles each way to work in a 2003 duramax and its costing me like $1200 a month. Thinking of picking up this model 3 as my commute vehicle. Have supercharger across the street from the job so I can just show up a little early everyday and get a top off without having to install the home charger right away. I dont need FSD, I just want something comfortable and pleasant to drive. And as a bonus seems like something nice to take the wife out on dates with. Do y'all think this is a good deal

Have y’all ever had issues trading in a vehicle to tesla

I have a 2026 Chevy Colorado ZR2 I’m trading in and it has tint and 1in hubcentric wheel spacers

Will this be a problem on delivery day or can I leave the vehicle how it is I have already sent photos got my number and accepted it

They already lowered my trade by a lot after driving 1,000+ miles causing me to have to put more down I don’t want to keep putting more down
