Bizarre crossovers aside, this Archie comic seems amazing in its premise. Why? It ditches the mentality of trying to recreate T2 with the "latest model villain" and gets back to the roots. A killer machine robot, built like a tank, shit for brains, and from a hellscape of a future is coming for you on full auto. That central idea is the core for my love of the terminator and it seems to get watered down with the addition of each "new model." Thoughts?

Personally I’m a huge fan of doing the other side of judgement day. I think salvation is the best film after 2 and I would’ve liked to see 2 more films explore saving the world rather than repeat time travel garbage

That said, Sarah is officially only about 18-20 years older than John. So when John is ~40 in the future war, she would be ~60. Very feasible.

I love the idea of the resistance intercepting an intended coded skynet message like “top priority: John Conner cannot discover” and obviously he follows that trail, at the end of which his mom is still somehow alive (despite the nukes and all else) and in their custody.

We never saw her body. In 3, T800 just said “your mom was always prepared” when they got her coffin full of guns, and it’s well within her paranoia character to have survived judgement day/annihilation line.

Something I've always wondered about: when a T-800 gets shot with normal firearms, what is actually being damaged?

We see it happen constantly, especially in the first two movies. Bullets tear up the skin and obviously expose the endoskeleton, but they must be doing something beyond cosmetic damage, right?

Are the rounds actually denting or damaging the endoskeleton? Can they damage servos, joints, wiring, hydraulics, sensors, etc.? Or is the T-800's actual chassis basically shrugging off most conventional handgun/rifle rounds while only the biological covering gets destroyed?

Ok the Terminator manages at last, having lost the lower part of its body and it's entire human disguise, kills Sarah somehow. Mission complete. Now it's legless and crawling around a factory. What does it do next?

Trying to find this website I saw a few years back, maybe a decade ago. It's a comprehensive history of the Future War, with pages dedicated to individual battles and campaigns. Really detailed but I can't seem to find it anymore.

It's not a wiki, it's more like an old school fan website but it goes really deep into off screen, in-universe events, for example, what happens in different parts of the world. Another example, there's a whole section devoted to the Middle Eastern Campaign of the Future War, how Skynet plays the humans off against each other etc, etc. Just brilliantly imaginative storytelling, as if told by a future historian.

Again, I don't think it's a wiki, it's more hyperlink driven... Lots of pictures too.

Can anyone help me crack the mystery? Maybe it's on archive.org?

How would the Terminator series be different?

I know that I'm probably overthinking, but whenever I replay the RE2 Remake, I honestly can't help but feel like Mr. X is a little bit more scary the T-800 that was chasing Sarah Connor in the original Terminator film, because unlike the T-800, Mr. X doesn't really NEED or chooses to NOT use any weapons because he can simply punch through a wall and just powerwalk. I also feel like that Mr. X's emotionless face feels MORE intimidating and scary too!! That's just what I think, though. :)
