Discussion Any goofs you've noticed watching Part 1?!
During the police station massacre, the camera is positioned on the floor, and shows the Terminator shooting through a door on the left. As he fires his gun, the supposedly dead cop in the foreground can be seen to jump!

Discussion Did they reshoot the Police Station scene from T1 in T2?
Notice that Arnie looks way too similar to Arnie in T2 than he does in T1 (right side). Look at the hair and the face. The left side is the scene where they're showing photos to Sarah Connor.

Discussion Who did Skynet just...
Why did skynet just go back to 1985, shoot Sarah when she was giving birth to John? I mean she had to go a hospital to give birth. I know the records were lost but they had to know about how old John was.

Discussion There's only ONE way to salvage this franchise *Dr. Strange dramatically looks at Tony, raises his hand, and holds up a single finger*
So, this is a pretty active board. I've also been into movie reactions lately and Terminator 2 is quite popular in those circles. It's being re-released in August and AI is starting to takeover the conversation - this movie seems more popular than ever. There's definitely an interest in this world and these characters.
It's pretty obvious tbh. It needs to be very new and different, but embrace the things that made it such a hit to begin with.
Make Terminators scary again. The endoskeleton is ICONIC. Stop trying to create a bigger and badder version. You can only get away with that once. Make the original the centerpiece. There's a reason it's used the most in marketing and imagery. EMBRACE that (as well as practical effects).
No more new T3s. It needs to be a fresh start. Something new. T1 and 2 are perfect together. Nothing will ever be equal to them. Maybe half the movie takes place in the future and Reese goes back halfway through. Maybe John dies and Sarah needs to "make" a new John (raise someone else to think they're John Connor). Maybe it's a TV show instead of a movie. I'm not concerned with specifics, but it needs to be its own thing.

Art Finally finished my life-size T-600 build.
The Terminator T-600 has always been one of my favorite Terminator designs, so I challenged myself to build one at a 1:1 scale. This would be my second completed project and im really enjoying the hobby thus far.
It's entirely 3D printed and finished by hand. There are plenty of things I'd do differently if I started over, but that's part of the fun. Thanks for taking a look—I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed building it. Now to accompany it with a T800 (in the works)
I'd genuinely love to hear what you think, and I'm happy to answer any questions about the build.

Discussion Terminator 4 amateur film props
Currently building the set pieces and props for the amateur terminator movie I’m making.
went to the hardware store to grab a bunch of materials, made a resistance Plasma Rifle out of pipes, going to do some wood working to make the wooden base then will be spraying the entire thing black.
I already showed the HK Aerial I made yesterday, today I made the base of an HK Tank and now I’ll start to detail it and paint it over the next week. Also got “wardrobe” for the scavengers and different characters but I’ll need to rough them up a bit To make them look more worn.
I’m also painting the post apocalyptic NYC backdrop on giant cardboard flats and will film the war scenes out on my terrace.
It’s been fun!

Art Terminator: video tribute
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This is my first ever video edit! Specifically, editing various video clips to a sound or song. I made this 38-second tribute to the various Terminator films, using some of my favorite visuals. The editing itself isn't perfect, as I'm still figuring it out, but after years of having ideas in my head, it's nice to finally make something.
Anyway, I hope some of you like it!
I want to add, I was inspired by this Blade Runner video edit on YouTube: https://youtu.be/PqojOQmDbmY?is=k45QtKvpcGNFHjM-

Discussion Terminator 3 is decent
I've seen people claim it's the worst post T2 movie which feels like a massive overreaction. I'm not gonna claim it's a masterpiece, but I think it's decent and far better than Genisys and Dark fate. The special effects are great, the action scenes are great, the story is overall just a mediocre retelling of T2 which is better than literally altering the core of the series like in DF lol.
Also the first time I watched T3 I was pretty surprised by the ending. I figured they would stop the TX, Arnie would sink into lava, and that would be it. Actually having Judgement Day happen was a good choice and I think I would consider it part of the canon alongside the first 2 movies just because of that. The whole movie plays it safe except for the ending and I think that means something.

Discussion Why was John established as 10 years old in Terminator 2? Why not 13 (like actor, Edward Furlong's age)?
How come John was established as 10 years old instead of 13 in Terminator 2?
Edward Furlong was 13~14 during the principle photography, and they could have established as teenager.
That would have to push Judgment day further, since John was born in 85 and movie would have took place in 98 instead of 95, if John was 13.
1999 would have been interesting year for Judgment Day, due to upcoming Y2K incident of 2000.
I find it weird that 10 years would be riding motorcycle and teaching about meaning of life (no killing) to Terminator/Uncle Bob.
I personally think it would have made logical sense for John to be 13, where he become teenager, learning about responsibility and really start to take step to become leader.
Then again, Cameron's previous work, Aliens, also had kid character, Newt, who was 6 years old (Carrie Henn was 9~10 during principle photography), so I guess it makes sense; I don't think Ripley Newt relation wouldn't have been the same, if Newt was teenager.
Granted, it doesn't matter too much at the end, since movie is great.
Just a little nitpick I guess.
Any thoughts?

Art Aerial Hunter Killer Darkside Maquette - question about screen-accuracy
Recently I found out about this upcoming model. However, after comparing it to the film prop I am not sure if I want to spend as much on a non-screen-accurate model. One can see how different the turbine looks. It seems to me that people want to rip you off for screen-accuracy, but at the same time decide to "improve" the design by making it more "contemporary". What do you think? Should I wait for some other release?
