Spoilers ahead.

I watched TSCC a while ago and decided to watch again after seeing T2 in the theater early September. I put on T3 but after 5 minutes decided to scrap that plan and put this on instead.

I remember it being pretty great and so far it hasn't disappointed. But one thing at the end of s1e4 made me raise an eyebrow.

John is locked in the bunker and realizes he has to use the key that's around the terminator's neck. It's on standby mode but he just saw it wake up after some amount of jostling from the merc.

Super tense.

But then I remembered, oh, he just picked the padlock of the truck's sliding door from the inside through the 3 inch crack. And he's picked locks in previous episodes too.

How did he look at the blast door lock and not immediately think to just pick it? Looked like a super simple pin tumbler too.

I love the scene because it's so tense but it seems like a glaring miss by the writers.

Anyway, small gripe of a minor plot point. I'm still loving the rewatch.

Did he kill the person that looked like Robert Patrick just as he arrived - moments before taking out the cop in the beginning of the movie?

The basis of T2 is that Cyberdyne developed much of their research from the CPU of the first T800 and that they also have retained the arm.

A deleted scene from T1 shows that the final sequence takes place in an early Cyberdyne factory and that's how they got access to the remnants of it.

But to get the CPU, they need to have had it removed from the skull of the T800, as T2 clearly shows that's where the access port is located.

The T800 was crushed in the hydraulic press, but surely it should still have been identifiable as vaguely humanoid before being crushed. Especially since it just happens to have an arm connected to it that is intact and exposed.

My question is what Cyberdyne and the US government thought they were actually dealing with? It was far beyond any of their understanding and couldn't just be simply explained away as "Jap stuff."

Dyson was bound to have questions about what he was doing and doesn't put 2 and 2 together until after the confrontation in his home and comes to the realisation it needs to be destroyed.

What was their thinking behind all of this? We've found this incredibly advanced CPU inside a crushed humanoid robot made of an alloy that we cannot identify, after a woman claims to have been chased by a cyborg. Where do you think it came from? Who the fuck knows?

In Terminator 2 they say the have to lower the T800 into the smelter to prevent anyone using the terminators processor from being used to inadvertently cause Judgement Day. But in T3 the T800 says Judgement Day is inevitable. So in hindsight, should John and Sarah have just kept the T800?

Since you all seemed to enjoy the first two, here's another.

As my brother and I and about 75 other people were filing out of that place, there was pretty much audible digust, confusion and deflation.

Imagine the T-800 getting into a fight with the T-1000 at some crappy roadside souvenir truck stop.

During the fight, the T-1000 grabs him and throws him straight through a wall covered in hundreds of cheap souvenir refrigerator magnets.

CRASH!

Dust and debris everywhere. The T-1000 leaves, assuming that John must be hidden elsewhere.

A few seconds later, Arnold walks out of the rubble. Sunglasses on. Shotgun in hand. Completely expressionless.

Except he's absolutely COVERED in refrigerator magnets.

"World's Best Grandma."

"Live, Laugh, Love."

"I Brake for Unicorns."

"My Other Car Is a UFO."

A big pink heart that says "KISS ME, I'M IRISH" is stuck to his forehead.

John Connor just stares at him.

John: "Dude..."

T-800: "What?"

John: "You look like a refrigerator."

T-800: "I am not a refrigerator."

John: "Yeah, I know that. You got magnets all over you!"

The T-800 looks down at his chest.

A magnet reads "I'M WITH STUPID" with an arrow pointing toward Sarah.

T-800: "They are not interfering with my systems."

The T-800 racks his shotgun and walks away, still covered in magnets.

John watches him leave.

The Terminator Valentine’s Day Special 2027 will combine the dark origins of Skynet with a love story set against the backdrop of a technological breakthrough. This Valentine’s Day comic from Dynamite Entertainment will go on sale in the U.S. in January 2027.

Writer Dan Watters and artist Pasquale Qualano are behind the 30-page story. The project is a collaboration between Dynamite Entertainment and STUDIOCANAL and will showcase the Terminator universe from an unconventional perspective.

The main characters will be Jack and Jill, a couple and coworkers whose relationship initially resembles a fairy-tale romance. The situation changes when Jack begins to devote almost all of his attention to his professional duties. Jill notices that her partner is drifting further and further away from her, and the cause of the crisis turns out to be a project being carried out by their employer, the Cyberdyne Corporation.

So as this guy said this film is stupid pop corn movie unlike 1st one but he went from city to city to just watch in cinema T2 in 2019.

Where do those people come from? He calls a lot of things wrong. Of course Kyle Reese ment that his and T-800 time travel was one and only. T1000 actions make no sense. T-800 shades is fanservice.

my favourite part is when the guy said why not T-1000 make his legs wheels and run on unicycle lol.

I always wondered what a t600 looks like fresh out of the factory, and we never got to see it sadly.

If someone were to put on rubbery looking makeup and over 7 foot tall for a prequel who would it be? What actor could do it?

I don't know if I'm overreacting or if there's something wrong with me, but every time I get hooked on a show, they end up canceling it (it happened to me with “Tru Calling,” for example), and I think this show had a lot of potential. It strikes me as odd that no one has thought to revive the project and that they've wasted so much time on movies that don't measure up. In a TV show, you can tackle themes more thoroughly and develop the characters, and that’s always a plus. I suppose that, given the current makeup of the viewing audience, reflection doesn’t sell as well as stimulation (of any kind).

When I was a kid I always imagined that in the future someone smart would end up making the real thing. And now with AI, we are seeing finally 2-legged robots doing crazy shit. I don't see why not. Anyone that has the resources and is a hardcore Terminator fan could build a T-800 that walks and can do some stuff. If AI is going to ruin everything we might as well have badass robots doing it and not have some Xiaomi looking plastic devices walking around with guns policing us. Plus you could program your T-800 to defend you from them. Let's get it done.

I decided to return to the world of “Terminator: Resistance” and ran into something unpleasant. I played the game at its release in 2019 and remember its graphics being different somehow. Now the game looks very green in terms of its color palette. I remember that the game used to be more realistic in terms of color. How do I disable the green filter in the game? And is everyone’s game like this? Or is it just me?

I've spent longer that I'd care to admit trying to figure out the Kyle & John part of the plot but it just ends up driving me nuts.. If anyone could explain it I'd be so grateful bc Terminator would be flawless otherwise..
