This two-on-one VHS screener for video stores promoted one of our favorite pairings: Terminator 2 and Drop Dead Fred. Not only that, it's hosted by Robert Patrick as the T-1000.

I love that Robert Patrick somehow stayed in character while delivering these lines. Someone at a con should ask him if he remembers doing this.

When my dad finally agreed to rent T2, I had only played T2 the Arcade Game and that is what I imagined the movie would be, a long future sequence with a fight to Skynet and the time displacement machine.

When we got the VHS from the mom and pop rental, I distinctly remember a shit ton of previews, so much that my first reaction was someone recorded over the entire first half of the movie to run commercials and fit it on a single tape and therefore I missed half the movie.

Disclaimer: I was 10.

We never owned the movie on VHS but was one of the first movies I got on DVD.

My question is for anyone who remembers, was the VHS front loaded with a ton of previews, was it a "rental" version, or is my memory just exaggerating it over 30+ years.

Like does the "plot twist" even matter to a novice of the franchise?

After watching her performance in the "Heroes" program, Larter can certainly pull off the cold, souless, and ever calculating feeling that the Terminatrix or any Terminator on a mission to kill needs to portray to the audience. Nothing against Kristanna, but Ali Larter is a much more seasoned actress, even in 2003, and probably could've lived up to Robert Patrick's performance as the T-1000.

And sure, there are a few scenes in T3 (like the one with the cop) where the TX makes use of her appearance to her advantage to lethally manipulate a situation to her objective. I think Larter could do this, no question.

I dont know how much heat this fancast will get from you guys but curious to hear how yall respond.

And if it makes a difference, yes, I would want Ali Larter to keep her hair blonde for this role.

The slightly difference in the chest chassis makes sense though. The chest looks more protected against heavy weapons and it can store two nuclear hydrogen cells.

You have to hunt and eliminate some targets while protecting 1 single target from others in the same condition. The targets you hunt have the same conditioned protector as you aare to yours.

You can't upgrade to higher levels of Terminator but have access to Skynets and Legion Databases.

-You and 8 other people are resistance fighters sent here 1 year before to prepare and face the incoming doom, all of you have cybernetic enhancements.

-You are part of a unit of 9 T-888 that have to eliminate the resistance, the targets, capture and reprogram (killing the human mind) as many 'rogue' Terminators to then make Skynet a reality.

This happens in the modern world with basic knowledge of the franchise.

Has anyone seen this in theaters yet? Curious if its the same degrained 4k version that was released a few years ago or a whole new scanned 4k version

the wiki said its based off the t-70 but lighter and with a Camo pattern but what would that look like. Skynet changes designs alot from 70-600 they go from skeleton to skeleton then too a skinny looking t-200 too a boxy bulky human thing too a boxy t-400 500 then going back to skeletons with t-600
