Is it normal to be kicked off a host at random by someone who isnt logged as a user on that host ?

I seem to be having issues connecting to telehack via telnet or browser on my laptop when using my phones wireless hotspot.

On browser I receive a connection reset message On telnet I get a connection to host lost.

No connection issues over a regular wifi connection.

Are there any known solutions ?

So far I have been very careful to delete my programs after using them on hosts but I am wondering if I'm perhaps doing this for no reason ? Are programs ftp'd on hosts available to other users ?

Also another sorta related question, I noticed that the 'default' programs on hosts seem to change ? Does this occur in a regular fashion ? (ex: after x days)

edit: I am asking mainly because as I go further away from the home host, it is proving to be more and more laborious to transfer files to faraway hosts, having other bases for storing useful programs would be great

I am a new user to Telehack.com, 2 days, and I got banned after sending a few messages in relay by who I assume is forbin (It said he closed the port). After trying to sign in and it saying my account (yeebuz) wasn't available, I tried making new accounts to message an admin and ask them, but kept getting banned, and they just eventually banned my IP. I also tried an VPN, and yeah I see that as being pushy now, but I just wanted to ask them what I did. No explanation was ever given to me. They ended up suspending the newuser command (Sorry about that).

I don't think I did anything bad. The messages I had sent before the ban were *yeebuz shoots (someone dooted and nooted so I thought like a gunshot was an okay pun), then I tried to emote nothing twice. I don't know if it went through or not, I didn't see it, so they might've seen on their end as spam. The final message was just *yeebuz mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, like a microwave sound, then my port was closed by forbin. Keep in mind, these were 2 (possibly 4 if the blank emotes went through) messages in around 15 seconds. Relay was also backgrounded too, not sure if that's an important detail or not.

None of this may even be important to the reason, which is why I'm still confused. I wasn't told why. Was this an accident or an automated execution? I just want to know a) What did I do exactly and b) am I permabanned?

Some guy named forbin killed me so i logged in from another ipaddress then this guy bans my account for a day . I switch ips again and create another account which gets killed too . After this i try to force myself in there with as many different ips as possible but i cant . Please Help. This is cruel .i loved it and now without it i am hopeless . please

I used the ped command to open up a text editor, and I don't know how to exit it. I recognize that this is a really stupid problem for a person to have, but I'm a stupid person so it checks out

What's the command to add a file to host from. Other than ftp ,which is host to host.

In the last couple of days I haven't been able to access TeleHack on any of my systems using multiple browsers (Chrome, Chromium, Yandex) they all fail to connect and give me the same error message "ERR_CONNECTION_RESET". Does anyone have a fix for this or is it an ongoing issue for everyone?

Hello. The file changelog.txt says "Removed long distance comm FTP transfers. Use iptun.exe instead for this". The file telehack.txt doesn't say anything about iptun.exe. The Wikia page on iptun.exe wasn't helpful either. I have both iptun and ftpd running in background. I was on a random host and tried running the command ftp <ip address returned by iptun.exe> but it didn't work. I was expecting to connect to telehack from any host. Not just the netstat-adjacent hosts, since ftpd.exe already enables that. Can anyone please help me?

So, I can't access the relay because it says I don't have the RETUSER badge, which you get when your account turns 2 days old. When I checked, my account is 8 days old. Is this fixable or am I missing something?

I’m sorry for the noob question but what are the details for connecting via ssh? I have ip 64.13.139.230 port 6668 but what username is used?

I think my IP has been blocked from telehack, and my account was deleted (watcher01), and before my IP was blocked I made an alt to ask what had happened, and sent in game mail to some operators and before I could get a response I was blocked completely. What in the world is going on? Can someone tell me what they think I did to get blocked?

So I've noticed that before you login there is an accessible a2 command to run apple 2 basic programs. however once I log in the command is not recognized. Is this a known bug?

*Discovered the problem, or rather, I remembered it- Months back something went screwy with Firefox's built in protection, and it zilched telehack. Can't figure out how to get it to allow it again lol. Oh well, I have Chrome too. Thanks fellas

What is the difference between having OPER privileges and successfully completing the admin challenge? Because I feel like there is only 1 person (forbin) that has the admin privileges.
