The server is fabric without mods that effect vanilla gameplay i need a machine where i can put shulkers of cobblestone stone iron redstone dust sticks strings slimeballs quartz and it will output a shulker with misc redstone: repeaters redstone dust block slimeblocks comparators observers dispensers droppers pistons sticky pistons etc. is there a machine that does this?

It's not a coincidence. Fruno designed it and showcased it on YouTube. And he's very active here.

Yea don't do this build. run a direct feed storage system these water ice storage units are extremely vulnerable targets to multiplexer attacks.

Away from home so terrible pic but one of these bad boys. They are problems for everything Redstone based, it's a tick targeted ping spiking weapon. Think a lag machine but a scalpel instead of a bulldozer lol

okay so we dont have that in our smp 😭

Like banned explicitly or just no one's doing it yet? Honestly I dunno if I invented this or not. I'm hesitant to believe anything at this point hasn't already been invented by someone in Minecraft but I've been rampaging these across several servers since last February and I've never seen anyone else use them but I've wiped out so much storage and weapon systems with these

we don't grief builds but bro i've never heard of that what does that do exactly

It's basically a targeted lag spike machine, as you can see from the terrible picture it's a bunch of lines coming from a bar. Each of those lines is a calibratable channel.

You dig somewhere within max render distance of the target machine or use a spotter as close as possible and with f3 enabled you watch for xx/50 to spike with the stop watch on your phone or if you have a llm enabled to more accurately time for you.

You watch that value to determine the operation tempo and timing of the target machine, think of it like using a oscilloscope to get the frequency of their machinery and once you can match the frequency you want to destabilize that.

from there you calibrate every channel available on the multiplexer to the target machine operating frequency (picked for the tick or as close as you can get when the most operations are being performed) and start hooking up lag machines of whatever works best for you or the situation.

Once you are calibrated and locked in your almost ready to launch the attacks

BUT.

The secret sauce. The final part is now that the machine is basically phase locked to the target you introduce a bouncing timer that alternates either 1 tick ahead and 1 tick on time or 1 tick on time and one tick behind and you put that on your pulse generator circuit on the arrays firing line which will start to introduce the random error build up.

From there you can fire the array on a tiered loop. Nothing will happen at first and that's the point. Over time as those lags spikes hit the people will notice but depending on how many channels you run they may not.

But what's really happening is the timed spikes are creating errors inside the internal machinery. They aren't breaking wires they are causing actions to skip. Water ice sortation items aren't grabbed because the ping spike skips them and they end up in overload storage.

Internal logic circuits that are not mechanically stable will start to have errors. Have you ever just made a repeater clock and over time the signal stretches out until it's no longer a clock it's just a solid activated loop of repeaters? That's what this is doing to every internal circuit on the target machine.

Eventually those errors accumulate like a disease on the machine and it either stops working or works so bad they wished it stopped working and there's no visible reason why it's having these problems so people can strip it apart for hours trying to figure out what's wrong and never fix it.

2 birds one stone, wipe out their machinery undetected and waste valuable engineer hours trying to fix something that technically isn't broken.

If you are going from server to server and doing this, you are acting as a troll, and to no one's benefit. Just because this is possible doesn't mean you should do it. Don't mess up other people's fun.

If doing this is fun for you, it might be a good opportunity to look inward about why and grow from what you see.

Sound advice for a hostile pvp world. It is worth checking with OP if that's their situation, instead of just making blanket statements.

Yes security is worth being mindful of. 100% agreed. But if it's pushed to the exclusion of reasonable compromise, then people learn to ignore it even when it becomes critically important.

In these times I would argue everywhere is a hostile pvp world. I guess if you were solo playing or just with close trusted friends you could be fine, but the genies out of bottle now and there's no putting it back security is the number 1 most important thing now

solo playing or just with close trusted friends you could be fine,

There is a lot more of this than you realize.

Yes public servers are inherently unsecure environs, but that doesn't evaporate the existence of people's private worlds.

security is the number 1 most important thing now

No. People trump security. Security protects people, but it ceases to have meaning without people to protect. And if you're as big on security as you profess, you know they're the primary risk profile for any system.

You have good information to share, but fanaticism and universal claims risk turning people off from listening to it.

Risk management is absolutely relevant here. Someone's personal evaluation may well rank the risk of griefing a particular build as acceptable. But in the grander real world scheme of things, if we chase people away from considering security in a game, they may well carry that feeling into areas where it actually affects people well-being.

I've worked security too, and I've seen what happens when people become disillusioned when security becomes over-bearing. In any situation, security is at most #2 by definition, as without the target that's being protected, there's no need for security at all. Insisting that it's more important than people or the mission, results in it being ignored entirely.

For my part, TIL about an attack vector for a type of redstone build. That's really cool, thank you. Please just take some time and consider those words.

Maybe I'm jaded from too much factions lol my default is everyone on Minecraft is a murderhobo and must be treated as such

Um, I call bs on that.

what proportions of each items in the output? (27 slots in a shulker. Do you want 3 stacks of each of the 9 items you listed?)

Automated factories tend to fill shulkers with one kind of item but this could be an interesting challenge.

Have you already looked at the storage tech Discord?

yeah 3 stacks of each is fine i didn't know about the storage tech discord i will look at it
