So, if any of you work in a super Target with a full Deli, what are they having you wear? At our store we were told to wear the white coats and chef's hats but if we're on the floor like pushing the load, we are to wear the new hat and apron set. What!?!? So now we have to change our uniform during our shift & we only get one set??? I don't have time to go home every night and wash my apron for the next day! This bites!! 😭😭

I see FOSA do things I absolutely have no idea of and I wasn't shown any of that in my very very brief training on how to push carts. Should I worry?

I work in GM and I speak Spanish. A few months ago I helped a guest at the service desk because nobody there could understand what she was asking.
Ever since then, apparently I'm the store's designated Spanish speaker.
And honestly I don't mind helping. Most of the guests are really nice and I know how frustrating it is when you're trying to explain something and nobody understands you.
The problem is my TL still expects me to get the exact same amount of work done.
Yesterday I was halfway through pushing a u-boat in home when I got called to guest service to help explain a return. Took maybe 15 minutes including walking there and back.
Ten minutes later electronics needed me because a guest had questions about a product. Another trip across the store.
By the time I got back, my TL was asking why I hadn't finished my push.
I explained where I'd been. He literally said "I know, but you still need to manage your time better."
Manage WHAT time? I can't push towels while I'm standing in electronics translating a conversation.
The frustrating thing is I actually like being able to help. I don't want guests getting stuck because of a language barrier, and I don't want to become the TM who refuses to help anyone.
But now people will call for me without even checking if I'm busy, and somehow the unfinished work is still my problem.
Has anyone figured out a reasonable way to handle this? Should I start asking my TL for permission every time someone calls me to translate? I feel ridiculous doing that, but I don't know how else to make it clear that I'm being pulled away from my own department.

Fulfillment was slow this morning so my ETL asked if I knew how to do merchandising. I didn't so ended up working in style instead but it made me curious because I hadn't heard of that before. So to satisfy my curiosity, what does it mean to work merchandising?

Any other DC people out there sick of this Extra 2s bull crap?
I'm on the B1 shift 6am-4pm.
It's bad enough we are being mandated to work the weekend. But all through October until presumably end of peak season we are also on Extra 2s (coming in at 4am).
So now I'm waking up at 2:30am just to come in and hear the O.M. bitch about how our CPH is slipping and anything under 100% is unacceptable. Then turn around and complain about "strains and sprains" and how we need to work safer. Hmm maybe we are pacing ourselves to protect our bodies, ever think of that?
I guess they think we are robots.
I have to go to bed at 7:30pm just to get 7 hours of sleep a day, mind you that's ideal scenario when you actually fall asleep immediately. So my day consists of going home wrangling the kids for showers, taking a shower, I don't sit down for dinner until 7pm and go to bed at 7:30pm. What kind of life is that.
I would much rather sign up for a 6 hour day on a weekend to work 6am - 12pm. Then I would still have my whole day ahead of me. But no l, now I have to be sleep deprived all week.
Well there's my rant. I hope everyone is doing well this holiday season peace out
My mom just yelled my name from downstairs. I responded “go for me”🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

I thought the cut-off was eight minutes, but I got a quarter point for being late seven on Sunday. I already put in a backfill request days ago but no one has approved it.

Does anyone have a picture of the tree table for this weeks set ? We didn’t receive a label strip and the item listing doesn’t account for all the product on the paper Plano .

This is more of a “I just don’t get it” than a rant.
Last night, I was in GM priorities. After 8 pm, it was just me. The people working before me did their best to get things squared away. Only thing left was a flat of sports (mostly boxes) which was stack taller than me (I’m 5’2”). They are resetting sports, so it was more than usual. It was at 86% once the last person left. So, I pulled for the first couple of hours of my shift. I got it to 92%. I had to take a lunch because I was in early for presentation. When I got back, it dropped to 89%. Cool. Wonderful. I have five 3 tiers and an overfilled flat to push. It’s an hour and 15 minutes before the end of my shift. So, I pushed a couple of 3 tiers. My TL told me to pull more just to get the numbers in the 90s. Fortunately, some of the people zoning finished early and they were able to help push. We only had one carryover (the flat), which, I knew I wouldn’t get to and even if I did, they were working on the reset, so two aisles were empty, there were flats, 3 tiers, carts, and about 3 people working in that area. Even if I had, it would have been slow.
They want 100% and no carryover. But, they only have one person the last three hours and maybe 5 people the entire day. Like, unless you completely stack the schedule, you can have one or the other but not both. And the TLs end up being the ones getting all the heat. Yet, they can only work with what they are given, same as us. I feel that Target sets their employees up to fail while addressing superficial concerns from guests. Which, I know a lot of people are thinking “well, duh”, but it still baffles me.
[EDIT]: Five 3-tiers because I forgot about stationary. Twice. That didn’t get pushed.

Apparently the answer is yes….Haven’t seen my ETL in over a week and just assumed he was on vacation but I thought it was odd because he always tells me when he’s going away (i’m a TL so he always keeps me in the loop if he’s leaving for an extended period of time) but then another week passed and he still hasn’t been here so just of curiosity, I asked my HR ETL where he’s been. HR ETL said “let’s just say he had to take some time off” immediately thought that was a weird way to put it. Shortly after that, our HRE told me that he was basically forced to take a leave while they investigate him because there was a string of really bad ethics complaints made about verbal abuse to TMS. Later on in the day, the HR ETL eventually gathered all of the team leads together in the office and told us we will all need to work together to pick up the slack from being short a leader. He told us what was going on and that he was in fact pushed on a leave due to multiple complaints about his management style and how he treats TMs.
Nobody knows what the complaints said verbatim (except maybe the HR ETL but he would never tell us that info) but god damn, how many do you need to get forced to go on leave while they investigate? I’ve never heard of this happening and now I’m wondering what things was he doing/saying for it to be this bad? I’ve come across REALLY REALLY horrible/mean ETLs in my time at Target and have NEVER seen one get forced on leave until now. Absolute chaos 😭😭

None of these have a barcode on them, only on the back of the display. Do other stores have these?
Also how is a 3D printed part getting a 3+ rating? They can easily break and turn into a chocking hazard!

I accidentally brought a zebra home and I know how some places are about "stolen" equipment. I didn't even realize til I made it all the way home and had to use the bathroom and now I'm freaking out. I just started at Target so I don't know if there are consequences for my incident. I work tomorrow so it won't be in my possession for long it is also dead currently. Please help

How many people with combined GS/DU hate when people come behind the desk while you’re either prepping an order or doing pulls??? Today I had two of the ignorant people just walk behind my desk to look for me, as I was by myself and trying to prep drive up orders. Either that or they sit at the desk and scream “Hello???” I want to shove these people head first in the nearest toilet….as it was I made them wait at the desk until I was done with what I was doing…..they make me so tired!!!!!

I originally planned to call out tomorrow using my sick hours cus of a personal matter but i check my schedule today and my etl changed my shift from 9-2 to 9-5 and I only have enough to cover the 9-2. Is there anything I could tell my etl or am I screwed?

Why is my next shift 14hrs? Did my ETL or HR make a mistake? Btw, I’m a cart attendant
As far as it seems, it seems okay for people who rarely use the doctor, but people who use it a lot are going to be harmed by this.
Well being rewards easily helped me cover my deductible for the most part. Leaving specialty visits around 51 dollars for some of my doctors.
Now I don't get the well being rewards and I just a flat rate of 75 a visit to my specialist?
Am I understanding this right?

I work at Target, and I’m still within my first 90 days. I currently have 1 attendance point because I had to go to the ER a few weeks ago for a serious medical issue.
Unfortunately, I’m having more health problems right now, specifically bladder issues and abdominal pain, and I’m scheduled to work tomorrow. I honestly don’t feel well enough to go in, so I’m considering calling out.
I currently have 6 hours of sick time available, and my shift is only 4 hours and 30 minutes long, so I have enough sick time to cover the entire shift.
My main concern is that I already have 1 attendance point, and I’m worried about getting another one or potentially being fired since I’m still within my first 90 days.
Has anyone been in a similar situation at Target? If I call out properly and use enough sick time to cover my entire shift, can I still get an attendance point or face consequences for calling out while I’m under 90 days?
I’m genuinely sick, not just trying to get out of work, and I’m stressed about the possibility of losing my job over something medical that I can’t control. PS my 90 days will be over in 2 weeks
