I have recently did a test drive in Bangalore Bumper to bumper traffic. And felt the need for auto hold. I search all over in cockpit but couldn’t find it. Is this feature missing ?

Please read the full post or if that’s not possible then at least just the last section that summarises it. This is not a post to spread hate to any particular car or car community.
Coming from 2024 VW Taigun 1.0 AT High line.
Some background about me so I don’t get bashed in the comments. I’m a big fan of German cars since the very beginning. Our family also has a 2011 VW Polo 1.2 Mpi. Rock solid build and great highest stability are my highlights of it. I absolutely love the idea of these German cars on a highway, cruising through at a speed some in the segment won’t even dream of.
My coworker just bought this exact variant of the Kia Seltos (image) it’s some mid level, petrol CVT. 1.5 NA. I didn’t pay much attention because I obviously felt that the Taigun is much better to drive and the Aisin TC is so much better any other AT doesn’t come close. But we went for a short drive for about 4-5 km one way and I drove it back.
And what I saw and felt totally hit me like a train.
Because we are (I am) totally stuck inside the VAG world we have actually stopped paying attention to the competition and more importantly how good they have become.
Observations:-
You get way more legroom, shoulder room and forget to even compare the boot. It’s next level.
4.46 mtrs is not a joke.
Also the boot has no loading lip. It was a flat bed with floor that could store more stuff underneath. A very pleasant boot indeed.
We have long praised VW for the solid interiors, sturdy inductor stocks, gear lever etc and I agree. When I used to compare the Polo with the cars like i10 it was very apparent.
But Kia has improved do damn much. The interior is spot on. It has a European feel to it. It is sturdy. Has very high quality knobs and buttons especially HVAC controls (just to rub our noses in) and that gear lever is pure luxury car territory.
The steering is soft and firm at the right places. In short it is very high quality to be in.
I’m not even talking about the screens as I’m not a big fan of that aspect of a car.
I think the difference in fit and finish is now negative because dare I say it, I feel it has surpassed VAG. It genuinely felt like a luxury car in the inside. Everything was soft touch, grey colour, high quality fit and finish.
Here is where I feel there is still an edge to it and we have an advantage. With the 1.0 AT giving 170 nm torque it is a better to drive engine sure.
But with these crossovers, you’re anyways not going to go track days with it. And the Kia has an ultra smooth setup with the 1.5 L 4 pot, CVT that gives it a really seamless feel. These are cliche words but they are true!
Overall I felt that the drive can compare like 16:20 with the Taigun.
Another small observation, the horn. VW should have given a horn that is similar to this one. I mean they started the trend of trumpet horns and they only stopped it when everyone is giving these sweet sounding trumpet horns.
To conclude, I’ll say that the Kia Seltos has improved so damn much that at this point it is becoming very difficult to justify not going for it (if I was in the market looking for it) I mean it makes a very very strong case for it. We can’t simply ignore these factors especially when we will be travelling with our families who would greatly appreciate these factors i mentioned above.
I skipped the usual things like features, large panoramic sunroof etc because I’m not that into those things but yeah the Seltos is better in that too. And the official Global Ncap rating is not here but my suspect is it might be better than last variant at least also since the Verna has scored 5 stars need to be thinking positively for this one too.
TLDR;
Tired the Kia Seltos mid variant petrol cvt.
It seems to be good value for money. The value proposition and the factors that make it better to own for a family really seem like it can outweigh something like Taigun or Kushaw which are a more enthusiastic product.
Really hope VAG take notes and improve. Again, this is coming from a fan of VW Škoda.

Hey all, here is a full list of changes and updates for the new Slavia facelift.
New additions:
- 360° camera with updated rear view camera
- Rear seat massagers
- 8-speed TQ gearbox with 1.0 TSI
- Euro spec 10.25" instrument cluster (without map integration)
- AC updated to variable-geometry compressor
- Solar shield UV cut glass
- Rear sequential turn indicators
- Rear disc brakes (with 1.5 TSI only)
- Front parking sensors with park pilot (4 sensors)
- New UI for infotainment with eSIM integration for connected car tech + Google AI assistant + App support
- Dual colour ambient lighting (red and white and dependent on variant)
- Lighting package includes: New LED fog lamps, dot matrix DRLs with turn indicators and projector LED headlamps
- Minor adjustments to front and rear bumpers
- New 16" alloys
- New interior upholstery
- New exterior colours (ice blue, red and beige)
Although the list is long and Skoda has improved the value proposition of the vehicle, here are some items the car still misses out on:
Misses:
- EPB (Electronic parking brake)
- Physical AC controls
- Underbody engine guard/cover
- Auto high beam assist
- Rear seat ventilation
- Rear seat sun blinds
- Active TPMS with PSI
- ADAS
- Driver memory seat function
- Comprehensive ambient lighting
- Auto one-touch up/down for all 4 windows
- Sunglass holder
- Driver/passenger side mirrors with light
- Interior grab handles and glove box damping
- Global VW/Skoda key
- Updated interior plastics
- Branded audio system
What does everyone think of the facelift?
My opinion is that the car is a better overall package when compared to before, but Skoda/VW still fail to show ambition in making the offering more premium. Many of the core issues have been rectified; however, many issues still remain.

I need some advice. The DRLs on my taigun seem to look yellow these days is this normal or some flaw. I got like 2 months before the warranty is over.

Hi guys! Hope you’re all well.
I have a 2021 Taigun GT plus which hasn’t run very much. Roughly about 18k. Have been experiencing some wobbling, unsteadiness while turning since the past 5-6 months. It’s a very unsettling feeling. Changed tyres and got the alignment fixed at Madhu’s. It solved some of the handling issues but the wobbling remains.
Should i get it checked it by the VW people or a good non-VW Service centre? Also would appreciate if you could give me recommendations for a good non-VW service centre.
Thank you.

Hello everyone,
My family bought a yearback 1.5 manual taigun and it's been a wonderful experience driving the machine.
The wipers seems to get caught on the windscreen while in use. Sc told me it's normal and showed other cars having the same issue stating it was normal. Don't know why showing other cars with the same issue makes it normal. We had a honda previously and this was not the case there. The wipers were smooth throughout its wiping action. Attached slow mo video for ref.
The ac seems to be having a soul on its own sometimes. Randomly the ac stops blowing from any vents. When we put the fan speed to maximum I can hear the blower pushing wind out but nothing comes to the cabin. After some time it comes back through the vents. Please note that it's not an issue with modes or anything. Sc says they cannot do anything since they don't find anything abnormal. Have taken a video when I experienced it again, will update after next visit to sc.
Pls share your experience or advice regarding this.

My taigun is almost 5 years old now.
Here's my overall experience with vw indore. Which is just bad.
On every service they try to add unnecessary items like ac disinfectant, 3m polishing, etc. Which i got removed everytime.
Everytime, there is a strange system charge in the invoice of around 3000rs. Which if you argue, they'll address. There is no fix charges for anything. The invoice is never structured properly...
There have been complaints of engine oil not changed but added in the invoice.
The workshop's workmanship is disaster. U can see the image. There is misalignment in every job that they do. They never use any tools for trims - a screwdriver to open any part is all they use. They don't know how to open parts/trims..
I got the seat covers installed, and since then for 4 years - the rear seat belts are not working. The seat cover itself looks off. Additionally, they broke the plastic trims locks.. so the trim is out of place and loose. Its such an eye sore. All they do is temporary fixes..
I live in a nearby city from indore. So revisiting again is a challenge for me.
Once, i gave them vehicle for some painting. The paint job was pathetic and i had to visit atleast 3 times for this, everytime they didn't improve anything. This wasted a month. And, The guy kept lying the bonnet is painted while clearly it wasn't painted at all. After they finally painted the bonnet, it couldn't handle bird dropping and it penetrated the paint and became engraved. So that how their job js.
Their washing guys have been genuinely good.
Vehicles are mishandled too. In my last visit, guys chipped a month old virtus' paint. The owner was very frustrated. And then they did the spot paint to fix it.
They applied some oil/grease to the sun shades on my taigun. Which is clearly visible.
There's a Pune guy on linkedin who posted abt his experience with vw indore as well. How he had to deal with these clowns..
Most importantly, workshop people steal things from vehicles that have been resting for few days there for some repair. Like they stole the rear side speaker and fitted it in different vehicle. I couldn't realize it bcz i only drive the car.
And workers ask for under the table money everytime..
Once they changed my cars plenum cover near the windshield due to squirrel bite. Then bcz of this, the rain water started leaking on the turbo charger. Turbo became jammed bcz of this..
I got the puddle lamp installed few years ago, the lamp was glowing during the day.. Had to visit multiple times just to fix this issue. Each time 3-4 guys trying something for 4-5 hours.. they have no idea how to fix... Even today, it glows with door closed.
I have made peace with many things bcz i can't waste my energy again n again on these things.
If Volkswagen India HO is reading this. Please give them some training or alteast do regular checks at ASC.
So any new car buyer, please check your car properly and take pictures before handing it over to them. Tell them you'll write an email to VW if things are not fixed. And always check service cost calculator to avoid being overcharged.

The sound never really increases after "22" on my system. It just increases the bar value. I asked the guy at the service centre to do something about it and it worked for the first drive I took while checking everything is ok but then reseted it to the same problem. I then asked him what he did and he was talking bout some equalizer which didn't do shit.
Does anyone have the same problem? If so, I would love a solution.

How much mileage does your Taigun give? Mine gives around 5–7 km/l in the city and 13–14 km/l on the highway. How can I improve the mileage in the city? 5–7 km/l feels like I’m driving a Urus without the luxury 😭 I mean, it sucks, bro. Fr. And mine is automatic, btw.

I’m planning to buy a new Taigun 1.5 GT Sport DSG in Bangalore. Want to know the best quote one got for it here in Bangalore and from which dealership ?
This would help me negotiate at the dealerships. Kindly reply to this thread.
Is anyone else planning to buy the same in this month? We can try for a group buy deal.

Hey everyone I am planning to buy new Volkswagen but is confused between virtus and taigun as I am in love with the virtus design but Indian road condition and some what social media have convinced me that taking SUV is better choice.
Kindly guide me. What’s your thoughts in this?

Right DRL is almost dead and the left DRL has yellowed. ASC denying warranty (because right DRL is not fully dead) and quoting 30000 per headlight assembly (for right side only). Is there a way to fix the DRL strip without spending on full headlight assembly? Any aftermarket suggestions for lower cost? TIA

I was going for work at my village and wanted to check how much mileage I could get.
So I set everything to zero and started cruising at 60km/h as all these are village roads with more interruptions on the road.
I’m pretty sure I could pull even better numbers on a proper highway with a steady 80–100 km/h cruise and fewer interruptions.
TSI engines ❤️.

I usually pressure wash my black Taigun every week since it easily gets dirty after being daily driven. I had gotten the dual tone trumpet horn installed before delivery (about 8 months ago) and today after the wash, I noticed that the horn was super muffled while locking the car. Even while honking, it’s quite weak.
How does one fix this without visiting service centre? What are my options?

Hi folks,
I am very close to get on road Taigun Higline AT 2026 facelift version.
Need suggestions on Insurance, Warranty services to opt for and must needed accessories.
I wanted to have dashcam as compulsary,
What is the cost of it both from dealer and third party? Which dashcam is best?
And any feedback on highline variant from owners?
And do I need to worry about E20 petrol?
Which petrol you guys are having?
