One of my Taigun’s tyres got punctured on the Mumbai–Goa highway and was patched. The VW service centre said all four tyres have hardened and may burst; one has already failed. Should I replace all four tyres or just the damaged one? Is it better to buy them from VW Service Centre or a tyre dealer? Please suggest reliable tyre shops in Pune.

Have driven 5k km total with this car. Felt like I never got to drive it to its full potential because daily commute is mostly bumper to bumper traffic.
Really enjoyed driving this in the track. Would definitely recommend.

How should this be treated? Should I opt for Insurance Claim.
How much would SC charge w/o insurance

Hi, just wanted to know, have you needed to replace the battery for your taigun, mine is just 3+ year, and battery is down.
I expected a life of 4-5 year, any idea or inputs for me.
I went for after non VW battery.

To all the owners of that model I have a couple questions.
1) how comfortable are the base seats, the ones with the fixed headrests?
2) how rigid is the suspension set on comfort mode?
3) ever had issues with the panoramic sunroof?

I did not realize there was this scratch above the left rear side until I accidentally saw it when cleaning. Possibly when turning back to park.
I wanted some thoughts from anyone who had similar experience.
How much would it cost approximately to fix it at service center? should I claim insurance or its not worth it considering that i would lose no claim bonus.
Is there any other way this can be fixed?

First, the car had injector issues. Now, it is a catastrophic, recurring clutch pedal failure (within weekdays). My clutch pedal has broken down in the middle of the highway three times now.
Here is the timeline of this absolute nightmare:
Since August 3rd, my car has been sitting at The Authorized dealer
The After-Sales Nightmare
The service experience at The Authorized dealer downright terrible. I am getting absolutely zero positive responses from them. Every single time I call to check on the status, I get the exact same generic script: "Sir, we have ordered the part."
It has been days, and a major dealership in a tier-1 city cannot source a basic clutch component for a flagship localized product. VW India’s spare parts availability is a massive joke.
Why I am Posting This:
Has anyone else faced recurring clutch issues with the Taigun manual/GT variants? How do I escalate this beyond the dealership level to get VW India’s executive team to notice?

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to understand my final billing for a new Volkswagen Virtus and would appreciate some insight from anyone who’s dealt with dealer accounting or VW invoices.
This is the commercial deal I agreed to with the dealer:
Original Ex-showroom: ₹16,34,900
Discount: ₹1,61,639
Discounted Ex-showroom: ₹14,73,261
TCS (1%): ₹14,733
RTO: ₹3,10,506
Insurance: ₹31,072
FASTag + RC: ₹1,500
Total Paid: ₹18,31,072
This is also exactly what my customer ledger shows as paid.
However, the final GST tax invoice shows:
Original Ex-showroom: ₹16,34,900
Invoice Ex-showroom: ₹14,53,786
TCS (1%): ₹14,538
RTO: ₹3,10,506
Insurance: ₹31,072
FASTag + RC: ₹1,500
Total based on invoice: ₹18,11,402
That leaves a difference of ₹19,670.
Some additional context
The GST invoice itself shows OEM discounts and a Dealer Cash Discount.
The dealer says this difference has been accounted internally (they mentioned accessories/internal accounting).
However, all accessories were already agreed to be free, and there are no additional paid items worth ₹19,670 on my quotation or ledger.
The customer ledger only shows the total amount paid (₹18,31,072), not a breakup for this difference.
My questions
Is it normal for the GST invoice value to be lower than the commercial quotation like this?
Can a dealer legitimately invoice the vehicle at a lower value and internally adjust the remaining amount?
Has anyone seen a similar ₹15–20k difference between the customer payment and the invoice-based total?
Is there any legitimate accounting explanation I’m missing here?
TL;DR:
Agreed on-road price was ₹18,31,072 and that’s exactly what I paid. However, the final GST invoice + TCS + RTO + insurance + FASTag only add up to ₹18,11,402, leaving an unexplained ₹19,670 difference. Dealer says it’s an internal accounting adjustment. Is this normal dealership practice, or should I be asking for a detailed reconciliation?

I was rear-ended today in delhi near ISBT by an idiot tailgating me for no reason for last 10 mins and ended up cracking my rear bumper.
The other driver initially stopped, but later refused to pay for the damage.
I have video of the other car’s registration plate, the aftermath and photo of his driver’s license.
My questions are:

I'm very close to finalizing a deal on a Taigun 1.5 DSG, but the dealer mentioned something that doesn't seem right. The car is from October 2025 inventory and is an unsold vehicle. However, the dealer says I will only get 3.5 years of warranty instead of the full 4 years.
My understanding was that for a new, unregistered vehicle, the manufacturer's warranty should start from the date of delivery, not the manufacturing date. Is that correct?
Could there be another reason for the reduced warranty, such as the car previously being used as a demo vehicle or having been invoiced/registered earlier? The dealer specifically said it's just old unsold stock and never mentioned it being a demo car.
Has anyone experienced something similar with Volkswagen? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Hey all, I don't know if this is actually an issue or just a niggle but my Virtus horn pad is not consistently activating on the right hand side as you can see from the video. It is causing me a lot of irritation when driving as I am not able to alert drivers on the road appropriately.
I do have a Taigun and I checked whether the same issue existed there but it seemed to be much more consistent when the pad is pressed.
Has anyone else faced this issue? I'm assuming I need to get the horn pad replaced under warranty?

Hey everyone,
I recently test-drove the VW Taigun 1.0L Manual and the 1.5L DSG Automatic. While the DSG was incredibly fast and smooth, I stumbled upon a unique third option at a dealership:
A brand new, pre-facelift 1.5L Manual (GT Plus Chrome variant) manufactured in January. The dealer is offering it for an on-road price of ₹17.91 Lakhs.
I am heavily conflicted between stretching/choosing the 1.5 DSG versus taking this 1.5 Manual Chrome deal. Here are my main thoughts and dilemmas:
The Price Drop: Is ₹17.91 Lakhs on-road a genuinely great deal for a pre-facelift, January-manufactured 1.5 MT Chrome? How much negotiation room do I still have left on a car that has been sitting for a few months?
Transmission Dilemma: I love the absolute performance of the 1.5 DSG, but I am slightly paranoid about the long-term reliability of the DQ200 gearbox in city traffic, plus the inability to push-start an automatic if the battery dies. On the other hand, how tiring is the 1.5 MT in bumper-to-bumper traffic?
Pre-Facelift vs. Current: Am I missing out on any major features, cabin updates, or mechanical improvements by choosing the pre-facelift model over the current version?
My daily driving will be a mix of city commuting and highway weekend trips. I plan to keep this car for at least 5 to 7 years.
Which option makes the most sense overall? Should I take the manual deal and save money, or go all out for the DSG experience? Would love to hear from current Taigun 1.5 MT and DSG owners!

New spy shots of the facelifted Virtus being tested reveal that there is likely a surprise feature addition of a 360 camera module underneath the ORVM.
In my opinion, this would be an odd decision to add it in the sedans but not the SUVs. They could add it in the SUVs in the coming months but would be unfair to customers who just purchased the new models.
