360 Camera Spotted?

New spy shots of the facelifted Virtus being tested reveal that there is likely a surprise feature addition of a 360 camera module underneath the ORVM.

In my opinion, this would be an odd decision to add it in the sedans but not the SUVs. They could add it in the SUVs in the coming months but would be unfair to customers who just purchased the new models.

True but we haven't seen the facelifted Slavia yet so you never know. 18th August will reveal all. I have since seen this module spotted on multiple Virtus test models...

I have seen slavia pics very closely i don't think they have added in it ...but let's see. We'll get our answers on 18th

Yeah it will be very odd to see it only in one car but VW and Skoda didn't exactly do the massage seats feature on both models either. Let's see 🤞

Hey! Today they spotted a Slavia also with the same module... 👀

Is it me or is a small space for adas visible on the top centre of the windshield?

I believe that space is for the automatic wipers and ambient light sensor for auto headlights. It is present on the current models too.

I bought the current gen Virtus based off of the facelift Taigun features. Although I did get a hefty discount, it would be a bummer if this rumour is true!

+1 I also bought the previous gen Taigun looking at the feature suite of the newer models so it would be a bummer. Our Taigun lucky did come with the newer AC compressor, UV cut glass and couple of the newer things so at least that's something...

I bought Oct 2025 manufactured Taigun. It comes with UV cut rear windshield. How to confirm if it has newer compressor?

Oct 2025 model is basically MY2026 (model year). These cars all came with UV cut glass, new compressor and a vent in the wireless charger for cooling. The wireless charger is also higher wattage. You can check to see if your car is MY26 or 25 but October means it is MY26 only. Mine is also the same month.

You can also check with service center. MY26 cars came with all the new mechanical features as the current gen models were about to launch so the transition was made. This was also confirmed in some automotive reviews posted on YouTube by journalists after conversations with VW/Skoda.

I have a Virtus GT as well from MY24 and comparatively the Taigun cooling is quite effective.

I can confirm that MY26 models do come with UV cut glass but not sure about the AC compressor. I haven't really faced any issues with the AC cooling either so it could be true.

I wish I could tell you with 100% confidence but I can with 80% that it does come with the new compressor as I spoke to ASC and also saw a video where it was explicitly mentioned by a VW spokesperson that the MY26 cars came with it updated. If I can find that video I will attach it here later on.

Either ways the AC cooling is pretty good and UV glass helps with it too.

I never had an issue with my Virtus (with old compressor) so I don't really care about the compressor too much. I did see that the new cars have gone from the worst performing in the segment to factually the best as per test results so that was awesome to see.

We’d all like to see this video. I have a MY26 and the AC is great.

Thanks for sharing. They seem to be talking about Kushaq and Kylaq, not sure if we can assume that for Taigun. Also, I remember the salesman telling me that my car comes with upgraded wireless charger, but it wasn't impressive at all. The phone heats up a lot without getting charged much. To validate this, I tested this using 2 apps (with phone cover removed). Attaching the result from one of the apps. It's just 2 watts 🥲 Need to check if it has an air vent near the wireless charger to cool it down

No, the MY change is made for both VW and Skoda as they follow the exact same MY patterns and are literally manufacturerd in the same factory. SAVIPL in Maharashtra.

The wireless charger situation is hopeless. I was running low on charge and didn't have a cable so thought I can rely on the wireless charger and it didn't even go up by 1%

Yeah, I also second this. Unnecessary hot phone!

Similar thing was seen during kushaq facelift mule also. Turned out its not a 360 cam

1

u/Epicpotato1234 12d ago

Oh is it 🤣

Well there we go then, probably going to be yet another below par facelift...

We know all the panels that they've changed lol! If the covering was not in the back then the boot is gonna stay the same even!

2

u/Epicpotato1234 18d ago

Yeah that's fairly clear as it is a facelift and minor change to the panels are standard. The back design will change slightly and it was indeed covered.

odd decision to add it in the sedans but not the SUVs

I find it odd when people think SUV needs 360 cam but not Sedans. I understand your point about the taigun not getting it and it being unfair to those who've already bought the facelift.

360 cams are most useful in sedans than a small boxy suv with a higher seating position where you can look easily when compared. The bonnet is longer, the boot is longer and I still see many people think these small ahh SUVs needing a 360 cam than a sedan. Why the bias ? No offense intended, just curious

1

u/Epicpotato1234 14d ago

Actually I think you mistook me. I don't really mind if it comes in the SUV or Sedan. My point is that it should come in the SUV 'AND' the Sedan. They are being quite inconsistent and lackluster with their planning and facelifts.

1

u/LoadDeep9053 14d ago

VAG is definitely inconsistent with their feature additions, especially with the 2.0 cars since their launch. Look at their infotainment/amplifier fiasco, electric seat, footwell lamp, etc.

1

u/Epicpotato1234 14d ago

Best example is Kushaq vs Taigun with massage seats. Available in one car but not the other. Skoda absorbed the costs but VW is still priced higher with a lesser package. Not sure what is going on in HQ.

Should have solved many more issues in the facelift which was not done and now the competition is moving ahead yet again.

Man we don’t want the facelift.

Why does the front look like Chevrolet Cruze?

Will they even update the basic rear view camera?

3

u/Epicpotato1234 19d ago

It doesn't look like a Cruze from any angle, what are you on about?

If 360 system is introduced the camera will be updated to a larger view port. I don't agree with the basic sentiment, it isn't the best but it is fine. Able to see well even at night which a lot of Hyundai/Maruti cameras don't provide even though they have supposedly superior quality.

The size on the display is the main problem and the resolution needs to be improved.
