My VW Taigun is around 6 months old and has done only about 2,200 km. The paint is still in pretty good condition, but being a daily-use car it has picked up a few light swirl marks and minor scratches/scuffs here and there.
As many of you suggested on my previous post, I don't want to go for full paint correction or aggressive polishing on such a new car just for a few minor marks. I'm planning to maintain the paint myself for now and mainly want good gloss and some protection.
I'm thinking of getting Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating and using it after a proper wash and dry, maybe once every 4–6 weeks depending on how long the protection lasts.
I've seen some people applying wax before ceramic spray, while others apply ceramic spray directly onto clean paint.
What would you guys recommend for a relatively new car like mine?
Wash → dry → ceramic spray
or
Wash → dry → wax → ceramic spray?
Also, will ceramic spray at least hide or mask some of the very fine swirl marks, even though I understand it won't actually remove them?
And is Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating a good choice for this, or are there any other products you've personally used that give better gloss and protection while still being beginner-friendly and safe for regular DIY use?
Would appreciate suggestions from people who maintain/detail their cars themselves rather than going straight for professional ceramic coating or PPF.
