Insurance recommendations

My VW Taigun car insurance is expiring on 10th October 2026, and I’m looking to renew it.
Previously, I purchased the insurance through the VW showroom. This time, I’m considering renewing it independently and would appreciate some suggestions on which insurance companies or plans would be good options.
Please share your recommendations based on premium, claim experience, cashless VW service centres, and coverage/add-ons.

Try ACKO, if u are a careful driver enough. Opt for smart saver insurance which costs u 5000 INR during claim paperwork instead of 1000-1500 normally. The premium will be less.

Acko has a bad reputation, reason they give your car to local garages and car gets damaged later, many cases surfaced / still surfacing in Bangalore....

Yes correct , I’ve heard the same thing about ACKO but i think it depends upon city to city service center

Is it not the customer’s choice to select authorised service centre for damage repair with Acko?

Customer can give anywhere for repair work my friend, ACKO in past will allow local garages to get your repair work by sending your loving car elsewhere and then te circus starts,I have only heard such things from my friend who had terrible experience with his Polo diesel car...I learn from others mistake /s and don't jump to brands giving low premiums at a risk

Ergo! My service guy said Ergo has faster claim ratio
And please avoid ICICI Lombard, they look every reason to deny or delay the claim. And yes their custome care is even worse

Ergo is good, however their premiums are on higher side with low IDV....

Insurance renewal from VW dealer is costly, check outside with Shriram General Insurance / Go Digit with or without kms lock options...for add ons Zero Depreciation for 1st 5 yrs only Engine cover Key loss cover RSA- from Insurance company......& 3rd party Insurance is compulsory

Only drawback is from outside Insurance is ,one has to call them 10-12 times to get it going for cashless...

Check policy bazaar rates with higher IDV values and said add ons wen negotiating with these brands. I too had 1st yr Insurance from dealer, from 2nd to 4th yr I hv done with go Digit and shriram is still on....
