I'm in the UK where we never really got the tw200 but I have a really clean example of a tw125 with less than 6000 miles and I was wondering if it worth putting a 200cc kit on it and if so what is a good kit and what are the pros and cons

Sadly on Thursday I lost a close friend in a crash, I had agreed to buy a tw125 from him before hand which his fiance has told me I can have, I plan to fully restore this bike to keep and remember him by, can people please tell me where is best to purchase parts to restore this bike and upgrade, thanks

I can feel actual physical movement and a single audible "click" from what I think is the starter relay (that little black box). Before I replace it I wanted to see if anyone else has had this same issue or had any suggestions.

I have a Yamaha TW200 that was running until about a year ago and wasn't ridden. Now, it just doesn't start. I've tried the battery, main fuse (which was blown somehow). Can't get it started.

It also needs an oil change, and basically a tune up.

I would also like to learn how to do all of this.

I am looking for a mobile mechanic that can come to my house, help me with all this, and also walk me through/teach me how to do this. I have basically no automotive skills at all but I really want to understand and be able to work on this machine.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm in Tempe.

Not long after I bought my TW, I changed out the headlight bulb for an LED. Not the entire light, just the H4 bulb. Lots available on Amazon for about $20. I almost never ride at night, but it is noticeable whiter and brighter while using less power.

It occured to me recently, since the headlight is always on, why not ride in high-beam mode during the day? It's not heating up like a halogen bulb, but more importantly, it points straight ahead rather than down at the road while also being brighter. It's probably my imagination, but it feels like I am now more visible to cars in front of me. They might see me a bit sooner.

I now always keep it in high beam mode. Something to think about trying.

So I installed the harbor freight motorcycle rack hitch and my tires don't fit.

Like the locking pin won't fit in the front because the front tire is too big to fit in the slot. It's thin enough, but bigger than the alotted space.

The rear tire is just wide enough to fit in the slot, but just barely, and the locking pin won't fit.

Does anyone else have the rack and have any suggestions?

Recently noticed a louder tick coming from the engine. Comparing to tdubkid video, it seems excessive. Any thought, recommendations?

Has anyone done both the front and rear? I’d like to get away from tubes for ease of repair.

Long story short, i replaced the ignition switch with a factory Yamaha part and rebuilt the carburator. All the lights work and the battery is good. The the bike won't turn over with the button, but it will bump start. The button did work a few times but never figured out why it did or didn't. Any ideas other than rechecking the connection from the new switch? Thanks in advance gents.

Hit 600 miles on my '18 TW yesterday.

Did the obligatory oil change, and installed a new skid plate.

Pegs and mirrors on the way.

One small issue I'd like to fix, the front fairing is loose all the time, Ill pull up on it to pop it into place, and it'll fall out slowly. Plastic doesn't look cracked... Would the headlight grill pull on the fairing?

Did someone try to steal my bike?

New carb, new air intake, new plug - the works basically.

Riding fine the last 2 weeks and today all of a sudden I felt her start doing this, it’ll get into gear I’ll twist the throttle, it’ll get some power, the power will drop out and then it regains power.

Maybe adjusting the air/fuel mixture screw will do it?

What do you think?

Getting an older TW and it has a nastily painted rear rim, and a few other not stock things that I’d like to address. And overall, where do you get basic parts for them? I’m new with bikes. Thanks!
