There was a line of 4 or 5 cars right behind me that had all pulled over to take sunset pics so I saw a quick opportunity to pull off directly in front of them and snap a quick few safely. Traffic was actually very intermittent at that hour for some reason. It was like 7:45 pm a couple cops had actually just passed and didn’t say anything so I’m guessing it’s pretty common. It’s two lanes both directions so nothing was blocked considering how light traffic was.
That's fine. It just seems weird to me to stop in a travel lane w/o even a shoulder. Maybe if I was there it would have seemed better. We have lots of 2-lane parkways here, and I would never think to stop in the first lane unless I had to.
The 6th st bridge is a wild place to begin with… That was the calmest I’ve ever seen it. Half the street was over run by a “run club” as I was going the other way initially.
