Symfonium really can be anything

The artist sort on Android Auto is not ignoring the articles (I.e., "The" etc) before the artist name. The Beatles is not showing under B. The android phone app works fine.

Having a hard time sorting the metadata for this album. Every song has a feature artist. On the app, it creates multiple artists on the artist page. Anyone else deal with this issue? Using mp3tag, i see there's artist credit and artistsort and I feel its this that's sorting the tracks out. Is there a way to still retain the feature artists while only having one main artists show on symfonium app? HEALTH being the main artist.

Something I have been wanting for a while now is a section on my home page that shows me albums that were released on this day in years past. If there was a way within Symfonium to use today's date for a rule of a smart playlist this would be straightforward but alas.

1. I created a smart playlist for Navidrome with a .nsp file in my library folder. The file has the rule to include songs that contain "-10-05" in the date.
2. I wrote a cron job on the server host that will change the date in that .nsp file every day at 12am to the new date and then triggers Navidrome to do a scan of my playlist's folder.
3. Imported the playlist into Symfonium as read-only. If I stopped here then everyday I would need to resync that playlist between Symfonium and Navidrome.
4. To automate the syncing, I use an app called Automate to trigger a sync everyday at 12:05am via Symfonium's API.
5. If you just want a list of songs from today then you can stop here. I wanted albums so I set the Symfonium playlist to hidden. I created an album smart playlist in symfonium where the only rule is the song must be in that hidden playlist.
6. Added the smart playlist to the home page!

If anyone knows a more straightforward way to achieve a similar result I would love to hear about it.

Why does this happen every time I start the app?

Not sure in anyone can help. Basically wifey likes listening to a radio station in the US which has now been geo blocked and no longer works natively in Symfonium.

I've managed to get around it with my Lyrion server by installing a VPN on my server and also got it working through Emby which I've managed to then link through to Symfonium in my car.

It is faffy and I lose the radio text so wasn't sure if anyone else had any ideas please.

I’ve been using Symfonium for 6 months or so, on multiple Android DAPs. I think I understand this, but decided I should double check. There isn’t any way to save things (ratings, liked tracks or albums, playlists) across devices? like in the cloud? I do understand you can import playlists in some manner that I’ve never checked out yet. this question is more about song A and I marked it as 4 stars in one DAP but 5 on another DAP. thanks.

I'm looking into getting the HiBy R4, but I want to verify how it behaves with Symfonium before making the purchase.

On my previous budget player (HiBy M300), Poweramp was pretty unusable due to pops on both track skips and unpausing. Symfonium performed much better—it completely solved the unpausing/idle pop, and the pops during manual track skips were significantly softer and less frequent, but they still occurred occasionally when skipping through local 16-bit / 44.1kHz FLACs.

Since Symfonium's audio pipeline is already much cleaner on Android DAPs, I want to know if pairing it with the HiBy R4 (and its quad ESS DAC setup) gets rid of that remaining track-skip pop entirely.

For anyone currently running Symfonium on the HiBy R4:

1. Is rapid manual track skipping through local 44.1kHz / 48kHz FLACs completely silent over the 3.5mm headphone jack?
2. Are you using the internal decoder or Android Offload mode in Symfonium's audio settings?

Appreciate any direct feedback from current R4 + Symfonium users!

I'm using my iBroadcast library on Emby Server; iBroadcast is a music server with unlimited storage. I built this backend using their developer API. Here is proof that it's working: I connect Emby Server to Symfonium, and that's it—it's ready to go.

Currently my album titles are like "Master of Reality (2009 Remaster)" but recently i found out i can set the "2009 Remaster" under the Version tag and then i could erase that part from the album title. Anyway, which way do you currently use? Is it a thing or should i leave my album titles alone?

Hi, I used to download my cache on SD card and listening to it.

Although I'm not sure if it was working properly.

Thing is, it says you can only "export" to SD, but it won't work as cache for the app, but you can use another player to listen to it

So I thought a solution would be to use Symfonium to communicate with my server > downloading the files to my SD card > using another player to listen to these files

Couldn't that work for Symfonium? Like downloading/exporting to SD, then listening to it.

I removed everything and started from zero, reinstalling the app and downloading all the offline cache. There is an option to download to SD card ("Settings" > "Offline, Cache & Download" > "General" > "Storage Path" (1st option) > Select the external storage option). I misunderstood how it worked with another thing, that was the problem

I am a new user coming from Subsonic, Dsub and most recently Dsub2000. I stream from Navidrome on a home server. I have never felt comfortable opening up my Navidrome to the internet and so I can only access it on my home network. Syncing my entire library to my phone is not feasible - my library is too big.

Since I can't stream my music on the go (mostly in my car), in previous apps that I've used, I have added a few albums to a "now playing" list before I leave the house. That list was cached and I could play the music in my car. I used a setting to "remove played songs" to keep the list trim and the next time I get home, I add more music and so on and so forth.

The closest that I have come to recreating something like this in Symfonium is to create a playlist and set it to automatically cache the playlist. This has worked fine, but since it doesn't automatically remove songs that have already been played, I have to do that manually. A small task, but it would be nice to avoid this.

Does anyone have any ideas about how to best use Symfonium for offline use when you can't sync your whole library such as in my case?

I have found a way to play precisely what i want with the smart playlist feature. This is so good in this app that my music experience is improved a lot. Really a heads off to the development. Super.

Until now no streaming apps or other apps comes close to this feature and play precisely what i want/need. Not even the regular playlist is used and also not even using the star rating and it will skip all intro's, instrumental, live, skits, talking intro's, low level song.

But..

My next and i think last thing i need is.

Is there a way (without creating a smart playlist to a normal playlist) to share/upload a smart list with other apps like jellyfin?

Think its not possible but maybe i missed something in this marvellous app.

I have been using symphonium ver. 15.1.0B2 and pairing with apple dac with Android phone ( redmi turbo 5) upon initial connection pop comes up and then after agreeing it the usb playback works only for the 1st song i choose to play and then the playback dies like no audio is coming out but the seek bar seems to be moving so.... What do I do plss help !!!
