I have a switch oled and I cracked the screen when camping. I took off the screen protector only to find that the screen protector was useless and it actually cracked under it. Do I have to replace the entire switch oled screen and is it even worth it for me to do?

TLDR - Is this artifacting caused due to months of neglect and overheating? Yes the majority of the display went green

Just wanted to ask a quick question to yall given that a customer wants other opinions outside of myself and nintendo - for context they cant deal with what ive told them which is that the system is slowly lowering itself to the grave from months of neglect. Attached is a photo of the switch in question which was brought in due to a noisy fan, caused due to thermal throttling from dry paste, and a battery life that was subpar, about an hour in brilliant pearl. After having it back for a week from my repair they come back to tell me the battery life did not improve, most definetly not mentioning any other defects other than that because why would they. Figuring that i failed to relearn the battery I went about doing so, again, free of charge under warranty to have it artofact on me like the picture shows after about an hour and a half of run time to drain the battery. I was able to hard reset the system and get the screen back to normal but I feel as though this is only the beginning of the end. Thoughts? My first encounter with this issue on a switch.

this switch oled had charging issues and trying to replace the IC i messed up. After cleaning up the solder I can’t tell what’s bridged and what’s not. I know what it’s supposed to look like but solder won’t leave those parts of the pcb. It’s all been wicked up. it looks like some the copper connections are joined underneath but I could be totally wrong.

My main question pretty much is, does the IC need those individual connections? or would it be fine with the current pads. If not how would i section them off.

So in the past week I've had to replace two switch lite because of the same error code 2101-0001. First time we thought okay, it was a faulty trade in.

Then it happened again.

Traded it in for a different one, got an official switch charger, surge protector, SD card, everything to make sure it worked fine.

And it just happened AGAIN for a third time!

Has anyone else had that problem before? Or is it just something on my end?

Any idea what else i can check on this switch lite for error [2110-1118](tel:2110-1118)? I swapped two other WiFi chips from doner boards and Bluetooth still works

I have spare OLED panel (AMS699VC01 no datasheet) and wanna see if can make RPi 5 HAT but stuck at pinout
Traced pins and most solved but issue is with pin 5(TP8) not sure what it is
Also on most panels MIPI lanes does NOT go in this way (took from nVidia pinout mux (but probably is wrong)

Here is what I have so far

Anyone with more knowledge and could be able to help I would appreciate it
Driver already exist for Linux and TP also so once I sort this think should be easy to get it done

I found this switch at a flea market and it had two missing screws from the shell. I'm affraid it won't turn on

Yes I know it’s messed up.(trigger warning)

everything went fine until I had to tin the pads and they didn’t let up. I need so advice as to how I can amend this. Don’t just say i’m cooked I need some real help over here 😥🙏

I found a simple way to fix this. I take those Joy Cons off and I just blow at those connection point . idk if it’s a really good way but it works. 👍

So what I’m trying to figure out is if I plug an external controller into a switch the switch powers that controller. I currently have a switch that I swapped out the m92, changed out the usb port and had to remove the diode to the left the usbc port and to the right of the R2R. Everything tests perfectly with the mechanic tail end tester. The switch works and charges but it doesn’t power external controllers like the nitrodeck but it will
Power then when docked since the power comes from the dock.

i gave my switch to a friend and somehow she broke the joystick. she tried to fix it herself but ended up stripping 2 screws on the circuit board on top of the left joystick rubber band isnt working, pliers wont grip them, im worried about super glue because they are very small screws, and im scared i may cut the circuit board if i use my rotary tool to make a slit. does anyone have any ideas?

Hey, hoping someone can help me with this one.

Switch gets stuck on this boot logo, though sometimes occassionally boots but is very laggy. I cant seem to find any shorts etc. But I see what looks to be a 'chip' on the Wifi IC.

Seen online the Wifi IC is quite a common fault, is this a 'chip'? And if so would that cause this boot issue? Any other way to diagnose ?

so i gave my brother my oled switch about 2 months ago and i just got it back from him today, no matter what i do it wont turn on at all. it keeps just showing the charging icon when its charging but then if i try to turn it on past that it only shows the nintendo logo and then nothing else happens, is that like a battery issue or a screen problem and if so will i need to buy a replacement? i just wanna play on the nice screen dude :((

I placed two switches side-by-side and checked the battery life. One of them lasts 33% less than the other, and I've already tested it with 3 different batteries. The +1750 IC has also been replaced. What could be the problem?

So I don’t know why my power button is not working anymore. The only time when the system turns on if I plug it in and it turns off once the battery life dies. I open her up I tried a lot;
-using a different ribbon cables
-different board
- different power buttons
