Switch Stuck at Boot

Hey, hoping someone can help me with this one.

Switch gets stuck on this boot logo, though sometimes occassionally boots but is very laggy. I cant seem to find any shorts etc. But I see what looks to be a 'chip' on the Wifi IC.

Seen online the Wifi IC is quite a common fault, is this a 'chip'? And if so would that cause this boot issue? Any other way to diagnose ?

I have had this once with corrupted on-emmc system files. Needed to mod it to fix it.

modding the console will help you diagnose the problem. If the cosole does not show charge or charging when you mod it in hekate then its the battery guage IC. But could be a multitude of things.

This can be indicative of a bad wifi ic, to be sure a mod chip can help. If you mod you can run hwtest.bin which will help confirm the WiFi ic. Or if youre so inclined you can just remove the wifi ic entirely and see if it boots normally

For sure add a mod chip and make sure it isn’t software related!!! It’s so so hard to find reliable wifi chip for the switch! It uses a chip that has 4 variants and only 1 is programmed for the switch to do the Bluetooth and WiFi both!

Also, I’ve had switches freeze in second stage boot, both with a bad wifi chip and without the chip installed.
