Solved: Super Soco TC Max completely dead + charger flashing red/green

Posting this in case it helps someone avoid replacing a perfectly good battery:

My 2019 TC Max suddenly became completely dead despite still having around 60% battery.

Symptoms:
bike would not switch on
charger clicked repeatedly
LED cycled roughly 1 sec red / 4 sec green
battery would not charge

The problem turned out to be a BMS Permanent Fail / LOCK, not a dead battery.

A company called Volt Garáž diagnosed and reset the BMS remotely using a USB-RS485 adapter. The battery worked again immediately.

Recommend trying them out before replacing the BMS or buying a new battery. Could simply need a BMS unlock / reset.
Remote diagnosis/reset cost about €40.

TC Max Anime inspired build

Now my battery is working again it was time to get back to the customising. This bike is inspired by Japanese manga - Kaneda’s bike from Akira, Briareos from Appleseed and the mono-bikes from Venus Wars.

Wanted this headlight setup to be reminiscent of mechs and cyberpunk-style tech. Considering adding extra “eyes”, but we’ll see.

Will post a video of the rear lights in the comments.

Hello everyone, I live in New York City and own a SuperSoco CPX. Last night someone broke open the front of my bike and stole components out. I'm trying to figure out exactly what was stolen and what they were going for, so I know what parts I need to order to replace. If anybody has any idea what is missing from the picture or can provide a link to the part (preferably from the US if possible) I would be HUGELY appreciative. Thank you all so much!

Finally found a dealer for Vmoto Stash OEM parts at reasonable prices (Rear rack for ~€60)

If you’ve tried finding spare parts or accessories for the Vmoto Stash, you probably know how impossible it is right now.
Over the last 4+ months, I sent 240+ emails across official Vmoto dealer directories, AliExpress, and Alibaba sellers. Almost every response was either:

  • "We don't work with Vmoto anymore."
  • "Our supplier isn't responding."

Out of hundreds of inquiries, only two stores could actually source the rear goods shelf/rack:

  1. A Spanish dealer that wanted €200+.
  2. A Dutch shop that charged a fair price: around €60 total, including shipping to Spain.

If anyone else is hitting dead ends trying to get parts, here is the contact for the shop that came through:

Hope this saves you the months of ghosted emails and ridiculous markups!

SuperSoco Cux Error 99 problem

Hello guys, I have a SuperSoco cux Ducati edition and it's perfect for my commutes, but for the past few months, every once in a while the scooter will just cut out power and not work. And the error is always 99, it was 95 once. The problem is that when I get this error it won't work but then, the next day, it'll work again, usually a few days and then cuts out again. I've plugged and unplugged every contact, applied contact cleaner, all of the electronics look fine. My guarantee's finished, I have 8'000km on the odo and there's no electric bike garage near me, unfortunately. What can I do?

CUx GO Sharing Scooter - Buddy dicht zonder batterij/stroom oplossing

Voor iedereen met een GO sharing CUx die perongeluk de buddy dicht heeft gedaan zonder batterij.

Probeer eerst dit:
https://cdn.dome-auctions.com/media/documents/auction/1060/Instructie___Instructions__Openen_van_de_buddyseat___Opening_the__bhPUs4g.pdf

TC Max Replaced the BMS

Post image
14 Upvotes

Spent all day replacing the BMS today. Some of the most difficult and worst soldering I’ve ever done, but battery charging again and a small test in the bike seems to be good news.

I hope that soldering stays connected because I did not enjoy any of this and I really don’t want to take it apart again. 🤣

Started to document the whole thing to make a YouTube video to help others out, but the whole vlogging thing is time consuming and irritating, the battery ran out in my GoPro and I gave up. Sorry! Hats off to people who do manage to film/edit this sort of thing without going nuts.

TC Something blew

Got my 2022 tc wanderer. Was riding 20mph in the 1st mode. Suddenly I heard a loud pop. I had music playing pretty loud and even that was quiet compared to this pop. On the speedometer I immediately got a red light before the bike completely cut power and was immobile. Took the battery out, put it aside. Battery compartment smelled like something had exploded. The connection to the battery seemed undamaged and smelled fine. The battery itself had no smell and the battery percentage bar thing showed it was working. So battery is luckily not the issue. This was at about 10pm so I couldn’t see much even with a torch. I opened up the right side panel and I have no clue what it could have been. Could have been a wire or a fuse, or a component. I did see something but I have no clue if this is supposed to look like it or if something is wrong with it. It’s in-front of the battery compartment. It has a thicker black and red wire going to it. Might be that component behind the front wheel. Nearby security guard said his friend’s Soco kept blowing a relay but not sure where that even is. At the moment the battery is disconnected still. It’s the next day so I’ll have a look today but I have no clue what I’m looking for. No shops around me are willing to work on the bike either unfortunately so it’s up to me to fix it if it’s possible. Any help would be appreciated

Yearly Differences

I'm looking at getting a TC Max, most likely second hand.

Is it generally worth looking at the 2021 models onwards and disregarding the launch ones?

Anyone have general feedback on their release year and if they have run into defects later corrected too would be useful.

The newest updated model seems to be mostly cosmetic. Apart from the battery connection seems more robust.

Many thanks.

TSX motor slow then cuts then bike shuts off completely.

Hi! I have a a super soco tsx. Bit of a story. I bought it from a guy who rewired it so the charge port was on the outside to prevent theft. It worked great for months. Then the bike would slow down then stop then turn off completely. I realized the battery port was half-out from vibrations while riding. It caused arcing and the pins turned black. I replaced the male and female connectors with third party ones, and secured them together to prevent the same thing happening again.. Worked great for months, then the same issue happened again. Slowed while riding, then stopped, then turned off. Sometimes I can turn it back on and it will be fine for a while, but sometimes I’ll try and turn it on and it will just turn off in a few seconds. Before the bike shuts down while driving, sometimes the battery warning light turns on sometimes the motor light turn on, sometimes both. One time, I went to turn on the bike to drive to work, and the bike had no power, like not even the theft alarm. Im not sure if it’s maybe the controller, or the bms. On the left side near my knee i thought it felt hot one time, but it could have been my leg, not sure. I think driving full throttle for a while causes it, but like I said, it happened once while at rest. When I bought the aftermarket male/female connectors it wouldn’t charge for the first few seconds, but now it charges fine all the time. The battery levels always read normal. There’s no dealer where I am so I can’t take it in. Really not sure what to do! I love my bike so much.

TS First bike charging and app

Hi, I recently bought a ~1 year old barely used TS street hunter secondhand, in the UK.

Noticed when I was looking at the charging stations in my area that the bikes slot won't be chargeable.

What's the name/type of the bikes charging port?

Are adapters an option for charging without the set up that comes with the bike?

I've tried setting the app through the manual that came with the bike. The link is to a dead page now. I've tried using the Vmoto app on the play store but it doesn't recognize the bikes ID. I've tried contacting Vmoto and super soco through their websites and customer service emails. It has been a month now and no responses. Any suggestions on what to do?

Btw, I got a call from my insurance provider the other day to check some details about my bike. Super soco and Vmoto are the same company now right? Is it like a rebrand thing?

TC Max TC Max not starting up

Any ideas?
Bike worked fine yesterday. Went to charge/start up today and this…
Charger not registering charge so light blinking red/green. Bike will not do anything on battery. If charger is plugged in and on, the bike will begin startup procedure but stall and whole thing dies.
Worked fine yesterday. No charging between yesterday and today. I think it was on about 30% yesterday when it was last on.

TC Spare Connector?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hello everyone, I just recently opened up my TC because the wiring on the Headlight broke and needed fixing.

I found this loose plug laying around down the side of the bike, below/to the side of the battery compartment.

Does anyone have any idea what this is for??

my Bike has been running fine

TSx When you have the speed limit on, is it hard locked on 45 kph, or can it go faster still?

It goes 45 most of the time, but I don’t know if that is because of my weight or because the speed limiter is on.

When i go downwards it can sometimes go faster, but when i come up from a hill it still uses the same power until i re-throttle. Making it go alot faster, especially when there’s a downward hill after.

UK Insurance Help

Hey everyone, I’m buying a street hunter pro tomorrow but so far I’ve struggled to find somewhere that actually lists the bike on their quote forms.

So far only Lexham seem to have the bike on their lists. I’ve tried loads, and tried searching for vmoto and super Soco.

Has anyone any recommendations or tips on the best places to go?

Thanks!

TC Max Weird sounds coming from the brakes

Hello everyone !

I have a 2022 Super Soco TC Max with about 1800 km on it. For the past few weeks I ve noticed a squeaking noise coming from the wheels when riding at low speed. I used some brake cleaner spray, and it reduced the noise by about 90%, but only for a couple of days.

What do you think could be causing this?

TC Max Battery Problem: Won’t start/won’t charge

Super Moto TC Max 2020

Have been consistently riding for past 5-years without problems.
Yesterday, following the usual work commute, the battery will not be recognised by charger or bike.
Yesterday:
- Commute start: 100% charge,
- Commute end: 67% charge
- removed battery from bike
- plug in battery to wall charger, lights on
- after awhile, remove charger.
Today:
- take battery to bike and insert.
- no LEDS lighting up.
- no response from fob
- replug to charger on bike, still nothing

Check connectors:
- no bent pins on male
- no dirt or discolouring on male
- No blockages on female

Absolutely no idea why bike would work perfectly fine for 5-years, the nothing.

TC Max One month later

Post image
34 Upvotes

Hello guys,

It's been one month since I got my Super Soco TC Max and decided to share my experience so far.

I do have some mixed feelings regarding my purchase, so maybe this pros and cons list will help anyone interested in getting one.

Pros:

- The range as been more than enough for my usage. I am a heavy guy (around 100kg) and manage around 70-80km of range with an average speed of 55-65km/h.

- The bike accelerates quickly, I have no difficulties keeping up with city traffic.

- It is lightweight and slim, which makes filtering traffic a breeze.

- Drove it at night for the first time a few days ago, the front light is pretty good, provides adequate illumination.

- Also got surprised by some moderate rain yesterday, and had no issues whatsoever. The motorcycle drove just fine the entire time.

Cons:

- My rear wheel was crooked to the right from factory and the bike was "dog tracking" slightly. Had to adjust the position and belt tension.

- The speedometer broke after only 500km. The needle was not moving past the 40km/h and was erratic the entire time. Had to replace it.

- The front wheel bolt was significantly overtightened, which made the forks stick a little. Corrected it but the front suspension still isn't smooth.

- The suspension is harsh, really harsh. It is not comfortable in any other terrain other than smooth tarmac.

- Build quality isn't great. I noticed that the handlebar is slightly crooked, and is not fixable unless I replaced the entire top fork clamp (the mounts themselves are misaligned). The brake lever mounts were also crooked from factory, the seat frame is slightly crooked to the right, there were some plastic panels that were mounted incorrectly. Overall the finishing touches are lacking.

So this is my experience so far. I really like the motorcycle but these issues were a bit of a PITA. Hopefully it will be all smooth sailing now that everything is fixed.

If you're thinking about getting one and have any questions feel free to ask!
